- FelixDrylock, on 10/12/2008, -3/+412They did this same exact thing like 6 months ago as a marketing gimmick. Same thing going on here. It's not permanent, they're just trying to be attention whores.
- inactive, on 10/13/2008, -2/+273cos jabba will be pissed at em
- GamingForever, on 10/13/2008, -1/+234Whey don't they call just call themself "the hut"?
- nymphetamine, on 10/13/2008, -17/+224OH I GET, BECAUSE THEY ALSO SERVE PASTA!
- powwow366, on 10/13/2008, -5/+162They are not. I work there. It's just marketing. Nothing is changing.
- Anzat, on 10/13/2008, -28/+137Digg me down if you want, but, um... I like their pizza.
- linagee, on 10/13/2008, -2/+105Pasta hut... FSM will be pleased.
- spammishking, on 10/13/2008, -4/+90If they want to change to pasta hut, they need to do some research into the likely domain name
http://pastahut.com/ - MacBookForMe, on 10/12/2008, -24/+91I will miss Pizza Hut..:)
- Surferess, on 10/13/2008, -3/+66 temporarily?
- klitzbtc, on 10/13/2008, -1/+63because pizza the hut will order out .... for youuu
- VyPR, on 10/13/2008, -4/+63As long as I can still get my stuffed crust meat lover's pizza, they can call it whatever they want. These arteries aren't going to clog themselves.
- JasonCox, on 10/13/2008, -4/+58IT'S FUNNY BECAUSE YOU REALIZED IT IN ALL CAPS!
(*****, I DID IT TOO!!!) - alpharaptor, on 10/13/2008, -14/+67domino's pizza, doesn't deserve the 'pizza' either
- Dystopiapanda, on 10/13/2008, -2/+51The guy who owns that domain is going to be very, very rich.
- inactive, on 10/13/2008, -7/+56Nothing is more annoying than food snobs. It's food, it's all delicious. Put it in your mouth and shut the ***** up. No one cares that you only eat authentic ethnic foods. Maybe if you had a self-esteem you wouldn't have brag about your eating habits on the internet to distinguish yourself from the main-stream. Go meet a god damn vegan and you guys can brag all day about what you don't eat. I'll be at Dominos.
- Osirus1156, on 10/13/2008, -6/+52The Chicken Alfredo is ***** amazing.
- KloroFormd, on 10/13/2008, -4/+48Your sister lives at a Pizza Hut?
- rootsm3, on 10/13/2008, -1/+44Good because to change one of the most popular brand names in the world is beyond idiotic. I don't even know what word to use.
- Galaxylander, on 10/13/2008, -4/+43I've got to be honest, sometimes I like 'american' pizza more than the right stuff, sometimes fastfood actually DOES taste better than the stuff you make at home- homemade fries are NEVER as good as the ones you get at a fast food place.
Italian pizza is good, but the sauce always tastes like they just smashed some tomatoes on the dough and they rarely put enough toppings on, not to mention that the crust is usually so thin it's like eating a piece of cardboard.
Just because it was created that way originally doesn't make it better to everyone. You sound like those elitist chefs that think that it has to be classic italian pizza or it's just nasty.
I like Panago more than Pizza hut/any of the others anyway :P - PabloHungry, on 10/13/2008, -10/+47You can put lipstick on a pig...
- mvanhorn, on 10/12/2008, -3/+39Picts of new signage - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/3145545/Piz ...
- revjustin2, on 10/13/2008, -0/+36Well, belive it or not, "hut" is the word for a little building. When Pizza Hut started many moons ago, I am sure it was in a small, hut-like structure (with a red roof or something). Hence the name. If they had started selling pizzas out of a hat, then perhaps they would have called it Pizza Hat.
- ScottMitchell, on 10/13/2008, -2/+36It's cheap and they deliver. That is the difference between Dominos and a local pizzaria.
Also, in less urban areas, Dominos and Pizza Hut are the only pizzarias in town.
Personally, I prefer to make my own pizzas. They are more affordable and way tastier than what you get at the fast food places. - Spamcan, on 10/13/2008, -2/+33Seriously, Lucas was sue them in a heartbeat and probably win.
- fadetoone, on 10/13/2008, -1/+29The marinara one is about normal, but the chicken alfredo is indeed pretty damn good.
Although, I like the pizza too, so take that for what it's worth. - Jeffler, on 10/13/2008, -1/+28Damn those companies and trying to make a profit!
- Bloake, on 10/13/2008, -6/+32They already did this for April Fools...YAWN.
- lougoose, on 10/13/2008, -6/+31You wanna get stuffed by your lover's meat? What?
- psykiv, on 10/13/2008, -3/+28Simple. At Little Caesars you can get a pizza in less than a minute for $5. At any real pizza place, a pizza is no less than $15 and takes at least 45 minutes.
- reiggin, on 10/13/2008, -8/+32Does that mean that Mel Brooks needs to temporarily release a Special Edition Spaceballs?
- cathpah, on 10/13/2008, -1/+23yep. basically said so in the article. FTA: "The re-naming is for a trial period only and customers can offer their thoughts on the new-look restaurants at Pastahut.co.uk."
this really is a lame attempt at drawing attention. - wrathoftheafe, on 10/13/2008, -3/+24your mom goes to college.
- yogurtslinger, on 10/13/2008, -1/+21Then next time you go to work, scrape out those moldy breadstick and personal pan pans and wash them at least 5 times.
I used to work there so you can't ***** me. - franklymister, on 10/13/2008, -10/+30This is really not an Onion story?
- peestandingup, on 10/13/2008, -2/+21Ahahah, you're delicious!
- inactive, on 10/13/2008, -5/+24I LIKE TURTLES
- SKick, on 10/13/2008, -0/+18A pizza elitist? Holy ***** *****.
- inactive, on 10/13/2008, -0/+18OMG Diamond Shreddies are just regular Shreddies rotated 45 degrees!
- Tiptup300, on 10/13/2008, -1/+19I work at papa johns and we sorta yah know make everything. We start with a blob of dough, which gets slapped into a pizza skin, then we sauce and top it with fresh stuff. Then we cook it. I missed the fast part.
I really hate when people complain at me for not having 20 pepperoni pizzas rotting on a heatrack ready to send out. If you want old food, goto little ceasers. - str1fe, on 10/13/2008, -1/+19I think it's a locational thing. The Domino's where I live is the best in town, while Papa John's is excessively greasy and Pizza Hut is usually just nasty, it's never cooked all the way. The Pizza Hut where my sister lives is fantastic though.
- TheSabre, on 10/13/2008, -2/+19Good. Because when I read in this article that it was a temporary marketing gimmick, I was afraid that it was permanent. Now that you've cleared up absolutely nothing by just reiterating what the article itself said, I feel better.
- CapnFark, on 10/13/2008, -1/+18A WHOLE pizza?
- inactive, on 10/13/2008, -9/+25CAPS GETS ATTENTION AND DOESN"T ANNOY ANYONE WHO READS IT!!!111!!!ELEVEN11!
- digggggggggg, on 10/13/2008, -1/+17You know, about fifteen years ago, there used to be a pizza hut in town that had a pizza buffet with a salad bar, and it was actually pretty damn good. About a decade ago, it was replaced with a fast-food style restaurant, and the quality took a nosedive along with it. Never went back since.
That's the pizza hut that I miss. - elizabethb221, on 10/13/2008, -1/+17No one gets your Pizza the Hut reference, I guess.
- ondema, on 10/13/2008, -3/+18I ACTUALLY HELD DOWN SHIFT TO TYPE THIS. WHAT NOW?
- GorfTron, on 10/13/2008, -8/+23Pasta slut?
- Monkeywithacold, on 10/13/2008, -2/+17because when you are drunk and hungry as hell it tastes way better than italian places.
i love artisan pizza, but more as a nice dinner....not at midnight when i just want to chill with guys and play video games. - weizilla, on 10/13/2008, -2/+17pizza hat
