- tuX0r01, on 01/31/2009, -0/+36I do love my GREEN TEA
- euro22, on 02/01/2009, -0/+25Check out http://www.adagio.com/ if you want to try some real tea. Adagio is like the Newegg of teas :)
- inactive, on 02/01/2009, -1/+14when I feel fat and gaining weight. i drink lots of tea..huhu..
- dhenke, on 02/01/2009, -0/+10I got Genmai Cha with my adagio green tea steeper sampler, and, unfortunately, it's my least favorite. I can't get over that smell.
All the others are great. Go Adagio! Stop the soda, start the tea. - sillyelf74, on 02/01/2009, -0/+9interesting. I learned something cool about teas I like to drink. makes me want sushi :-)
- amprather, on 02/01/2009, -0/+7Green tea is great, but don't limit yourself to just greens. I always start my day with an Irish Breakfast Black. During the day, I will sip on a green tea, like the Gyokuro. In the evening, if not enjoying a good wine, I'm enjoying a good oolong. During the weekend, I'll do some of the white teas.
So try all of the types of teas out there, even the herbals and flavored. They are better than any soda you can find. - aelder, on 02/01/2009, -0/+7Ah ha! I had Sushi last night. But no tea... Now I realize my fail.
- ninalama, on 02/01/2009, -0/+5Green tea is great. I think I drink about... 5 cups of tea or more a day, haha.
White tea ftw! - 1Bad, on 02/01/2009, -0/+5Hojicha, which is not listed, is pretty awesome. It is roasted and takes on nutty characteristics, it is delicious.
- robodud3, on 02/01/2009, -0/+5Gyokuro is some of the best tea in the world. Absolutely my Favorite tea out of any.
- sergiorly, on 02/01/2009, -0/+5I've been fascinated with green tea for a while. I think I found my passion. I need to find a way to make a living out of green tea. People always say to stick to your passion.
- Aspire36, on 02/01/2009, -1/+6I drink tea everyday. Green tea is one of my fav's. Good article.
- sunburner, on 02/01/2009, -0/+5Seconded. I love their stuff. The starter set that comes with the ingenuitea teapot is great.
- WafflePirate, on 02/01/2009, -0/+3Tea ftw! ***** coffee
- Codename, on 02/01/2009, -0/+3Green Tea and Chai are the FKN best!
- MillionsLivio, on 02/01/2009, -0/+3I'm an avid tea drinker myself and have gotten most of my friends into it as well. I suggest checking out Adagio.com if you want to get into tea, great company and amazing tea that's cheap. Usually don't like plugging sites but they are one of the few companies that deserve it. If anyone wants a $5 gift certificate send me a shout with your email.
Regarding the whole antioxidant fad, yes real tea is very healthy, but the "sweet tea" that is sold in the vending machines is not, more corn syrup and flavoring than tea. If you want antioxidants get some rooibos, also known as "red" tea. It has about three times more antioxidants than green tea (some newer studies even claim much higher, but I'd wait for that to be tested before quoting). - albybum, on 02/01/2009, -0/+3I love the Citron Green from Adagio
http://www.adagio.com/green/citron_green.html - mehtheinfernal, on 02/02/2009, -0/+3http://www.adagio.com/diggnation/sampler.html o.O
- hulkamaniaz, on 02/01/2009, -0/+2Green tea keeps me awake during long days at university. Good stuff!
- MicFury, on 02/01/2009, -0/+2Having my 3rd cup right now!
- dbohio22, on 02/01/2009, -1/+3Very interesting article! Learned a lot.
- gitrplaya4u, on 02/01/2009, -0/+2I know exactly what you mean; it took me a couple tries to get used to the smell, but I enjoy it very much now.
- o0jrock0o, on 02/01/2009, -2/+4Somehow, I thought the title was "Exploding Green Tea".
- sunburner, on 02/01/2009, -0/+2I can't express enough how good quality loose leaf green tea just gets me through the day. Stop drinking soda! :)
- bcos, on 02/01/2009, -0/+2If anyone is interested in having the best japaense green of their life, buy from o-cha.com. Their yutaka midori is amazing.
- spider418, on 02/01/2009, -0/+2I love Gyokuro, or any high grade of Sencha
Don't like Genmaicha because I want to taste tea not roasted rice.
Also try Matcha powder. I once dumped a little too much and got a good caffeine buzz. I use a wire whisk, spin it between the palms. Don't need the special bamboo thing...

But my favorites are the white teas

White Peony is good too...

Silver needle is a little too delicate for me to justify the price. - theRed, on 02/01/2009, -0/+2My buddy works for David's tea in Montreal and just last week he sent a shipment to try some out; it was the best damn tea I personally have ever had. Have a look at davidstea.com. I think they have a sampler pack of 5 packs for pretty cheap. Not lying, *****'s awesome.
- Vectorkov, on 02/01/2009, -0/+2I'm freakin pumped! I've been drinking green tea all goddamn day!
- endgame, on 02/01/2009, -0/+2I got that same one too. I also don't like it, to me it tastes like buttered popcorn..lol. However the citrus one is really good.
- vspazv, on 02/01/2009, -0/+2Have to be careful when brewing green tea because boiling water will burn it and make it taste bitter. If you have to start with boiling water put an ice cube in the cup before pouring the water on to drop it to the 175-190F range.
- Jarrane, on 02/01/2009, -0/+2Although I'm not sure if this is just an ad, I'm digging it for a Canadian tea site. :)
- zmigliozzi, on 02/01/2009, -0/+1Green tea doesn't do much for me, I'm more of a black or white tea guy.
- scubachef11, on 05/14/2009, -0/+1any White Tea love... anyone?
- tekium, on 02/01/2009, -0/+1Why no Chinese green teas? These are all pretty good Japanese teas, but China has some great ones too. (Although Gyokuro is definitely in my top 5.)
- scubachef11, on 05/14/2009, -0/+1adiago is proof, for me at least, that well-designed and advertised online-shops do really well. I love their business identity and their clean layout
- Tekmet, on 02/01/2009, -0/+1www.hggreentea.com
I've had all kinds, and this small company imports over 30 types of organically grown green tea from their family farms in Shizuoka prefecture, Japan. Expensive, but good and fresh. - vspazv, on 02/02/2009, -0/+1It's just an easy way of getting the temperature right so you don't have to guess. At home I use a 3 liter water boiler from Zojirushi. I refill it at night and set it to whatever temp is appropriate for the tea I'll be drinking in the morning.
- gitboxgreg, on 02/01/2009, -1/+2I have always liked black tea better.
- ShannonGB, on 02/01/2009, -0/+1Genmaicha hot or cold!
- Frostek, on 02/02/2009, -0/+1There's also green roobois, which is almost solid antioxidant, except in liquid form...
;-)
Just kidding both red and green rooibos are fantastic. Also very popular in Germany, which is where I discovered it about 6 years ago. It's replaced tea for me, which I would never have predicted, having been hugely into tea my whole life. You can also get many different flavoured varieties. Orange Pekoe is particular good! - Frostek, on 02/02/2009, -0/+1Insightful as always.
- Soul0faSinner, on 02/01/2009, -0/+1Wow didnt even know there were that many kinds of green tea.
Positives of green tea: http://chinesefood.about.com/library/weekly/aa0114 ... - TalahRama, on 02/01/2009, -0/+1Try www.teasource.com. I live down the street from them, they have a gigantic selection and are always incredibly nice. From what I hear, they handle online orders very well, too. The owner actually travels to all sorts of places to look for tea. There's some there that you'd be hard pressed to find anywhere else.
- rsbryswrrl, on 02/01/2009, -0/+1http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5715114
Tea for all Reasons has some yummy blends too - the Snowflake and Lemon Spice varieties are delicious! - partrow, on 02/01/2009, -0/+1Why just green tea?
- Frostek, on 02/02/2009, -0/+1Good tip - I'll carry an ice cube with me wherever I go from now on!
- Frostek, on 02/02/2009, -0/+1I prefer my tea hand-picked by monkeys personally...
http://www.edible.com/shop/browse.php?cmd=showprod ... - Frostek, on 02/02/2009, -0/+1Having an Irish ancestor from two hundred years ago, hardly makes you Irish-descended! You know the guys I mean.
- vinkochhar, on 02/25/2009, -0/+0I am doing research on Green Tea From few days and found very useful information regarding Side Effects of Green Tea.
Here is more info http://www.squidoo.com/Green-Tea-and-Side-Effects .
Let me know if u guy like this information. - godinster, on 02/02/2009, -0/+0Green Tea works well with Starbucks Vanilla flavouring stuff that they put in some of their drinks. The classic one I've found works well too. Most of you probably know, but adding 3 or 4 teabags to a juice jug, icing it and adding some lemons + some honey makes for a good drink too.
