- compson13, on 06/17/2009, -4/+95it's not discrimination, they'd serve her if she was in an automobile.
- rdldr1, on 06/17/2009, -10/+90***** she is a former stripper. Take a look at her;
http://www.myfoxchicago.com/dpp/news/offbeat/Woman ...
If you call being fat and ugly a disability, then she is disabled. She is in a wheelchair because she is obese. Where was she a stripper? Green Bay? - Nintendesert, on 06/18/2009, -3/+79Looking at the size of her, White Castle is doing her a favor by turning her away.
- dienaked, on 06/18/2009, -1/+48Does it have a license plate? Then it ain't a motor vehicle.
If they served her they would be discriminating against all the other pedestrians who would like to walk up. - lougoose, on 06/18/2009, -0/+45What does her being an ex-stripper have anything to do with the situation?
- janinekahn, on 06/17/2009, -1/+42Did they actually serve you? Have done that before and they turned me away. :(
- MMusick, on 06/17/2009, -1/+40I've walked through several drive-thrus after hours.
- Forbiddendonut, on 06/18/2009, -1/+38Making a cardboard box car doesn't work either
- Ragone, on 06/18/2009, -0/+36They see her roll up
They hatin
Tryin to refuse her sliders - kgibby, on 06/18/2009, -4/+34No, she doesn't want the "right to wheelcahir thru drivethru." She wants the money.
- NakedJedi, on 06/18/2009, -6/+36Wow, she was a stripper? They must have replaced the brass pole at the club with a telephone pole to hold her weight.
- shrudheuie, on 06/18/2009, -4/+33So where I live we are likely to lose a great restaurant because a douchbag in a wheelchair is filing an AMA lawsuit against the place. He never spoke to anyone, never brought it to their attention, simply noticed a code violation and is suing "to protect the rights of the handicapped." This ***** must really care because he has filed dozens of similar suits and is now quite wealthy after destroying many a business.
The point is that crippled people can be ***** too. Just because she is to fat to walk (her own ***** choice) doesn't exempt her from the requirements that everyone else has to abide. If you can't gain an extra roll after 11 because your on your motorized scooter, tough *****. I can't get a burger after 11 when I've been drinking too much because A VEHICLE IS REQUIRED! Lose some weight and get a car like everyone else. Equality is having the SAME privileges as everyone else. You have the privilege of going through the drive through, if you are ***** driving. - mrjoebert, on 06/18/2009, -0/+28I went through a Taco Bell drive through on a riding lawnmower before.
- walruspanzer, on 06/18/2009, -1/+28I always show up 10 minutes after they stop serving breakfast, DAMNIT!
- inactive, on 06/18/2009, -3/+28Your fat-mobile isn't even street legal you stupid bitch.
- Hu99, on 06/18/2009, -0/+24It made me click the story and the link provided to see what she looked like.
- inactive, on 06/18/2009, -2/+23bwhahaha. i wouldn't put it past green bay, that's for sure
- vapn420, on 06/18/2009, -1/+20When was the last time you saw someone on a motorcycle go through the drive through? This is seriously just common sense, the wheel chair is nothing compared to a car in terms of weight (insert fat joke here), safety features, or even driver visibility, so no... she shouldn't be allowed to drive through.
- TsuruchiBrian, on 06/18/2009, -1/+19Any restaurant should have the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. They are obviously doing this because they are trying to protect themselves from lawsuits. This lady has obviously shown her proclivity for lawsuits already.
Every drive through I have seen does not allow pedestrians to get food through the drive through. While I found it quite irritating when I lived 1 block from a jack in the box, to have to get my car to drive 1 block, it is not their fault. The reason this is necessary is because of the retarded liability laws we have and people's lack of reluctance to sue anybody for anything. - fluidfoundation, on 06/18/2009, -3/+20I'd like to buy a lapdance from her just to see the logistics of it.
[edit] after rdldr1's comment, you know, i'll pass. - PetrolPrincess, on 06/17/2009, -3/+19I tried the drive thru in a grocery cart one time and I got the same resonse so I just went hungry.
- bromac, on 06/18/2009, -4/+19You understand that people don't have to be the same weight their entire life, right?
Especially after acquiring a disability. - Gibletoid, on 06/18/2009, -0/+15Wheelchair = LEG REPLACEMENT.
Same reason my legs are not allowed to propel me through the drive thru.
Car wins ever time vs person in wheelchair or on legs.
Seriously... it's so obvious to me... why not this person? - reddfoxx1562, on 06/18/2009, -2/+17It is kind of ridiculous that places with drive-thrus do not have a walk-up window.
I mean, really, why not? - mrgeekguy, on 06/18/2009, -2/+17She was preforming a pole spin maneuver, the pole snapped under the immense stress, sending her into the crowd, injuring her and killing two costumers, and the shot girl. Have some respect.
- vapn420, on 06/18/2009, -1/+15Some places close their walk in at night for fear of being robbed.
- PopcornDave, on 06/18/2009, -0/+14If it does, then what was she doing driving it on the sidewalk? Isn't that illegal?
- rdhazrd, on 06/18/2009, -1/+14Killing two costumers? Was it halloween? How do you know they were wearing costumes?
- Soniti, on 06/18/2009, -4/+17This is why the terrorists hate us.
- RaiseYourFist, on 06/18/2009, -3/+15You know...usually I'm not one who is overly eager to jump on the side of a big corporation over a person when it comes to discrimination lawsuits, but this is one is the biggest loads of ***** I've ever seen. Did anyone else chuckle when the reporter said she wasn't looking for a 'payday'? I chuckled for a couple reasons..first, yes she is just looking for a quick buck.. and second, does she really look like she's someone who isn't Always on the lookout for a Payday candy bar? :D
I call ***** on the "ex-stripper" part too..... Unless it was in some backwoods redneck town with a population of 8 men, 0 women, and 0 sheep, she was not a ***** stripper. Appearing semi-nude with a hat on fatchicksinpartyhats.com does not count as being a stripper!
If any one of us walked through the drivethru, or biked through it, we'd be turned away too. Oh wait! That's discrimination if she is allowed through and we aren't! They would be discriminating against people who aren't enormous blobs who are forced to use a wheelchair due to too many cheeseburgers! I'm contacting my lawyer! /s
If she really wants to use her motorized scooter in the drive through, she needs to make it street legal. So hopefully she's got some extra stripper cash (doubtful since it was probably spent on ho-hos and twinkies) to make it street legal. Or maybe, she could do what every normal person does who is not looking for a reason to sue, and drive through the damn drive through with a car! - Shawn4168, on 06/18/2009, -1/+13I'm definitely on White Castle's side on this case, and I think this woman's a bitch, but she's in a scooter due to arthritis in her back, not due to obesity. http://www.startribune.com/local/stpaul/48006187.h ...
- inactive, on 06/18/2009, -7/+18http://bayimg.com/kaBpMaacc
She is not disabled just fat. I hate fat people who's only disability is that they are fat *****. She could easily drive a regular car. If anything she needs to get her ass off of the scooter and stay the hell away from white castle. - overtoke, on 06/18/2009, -1/+12lapdance from her = literally buried
- BottledViolence, on 06/18/2009, -1/+12So is it an automobile or a wheel chair? If its a car then the fat ho better stay off the sidewalks! If you want to use the drive through pull up on a street legal motor vehicle.
- CoreyTamas, on 06/18/2009, -3/+13You seem to be under the impression that someone has to be attractive to be a stripper.
You poor child. - studdenfadden, on 06/18/2009, -0/+10Hank Hill is on digg!
- Shawn4168, on 06/18/2009, -0/+10She has degenerative arthritis in her back. (source: http://www.startribune.com/local/stpaul/48006187.h ... ) It's possible that she could lose some weight, but I don't think that it's up to us to decide that.
Disclaimer: I think that this is ridiculous case, and White Castle has every reason to refuse her service in a scooter. The woman should drive a car just like the rest of the drive-thru customers, if she wants to go after hours. - nesagwa, on 06/18/2009, -1/+11All the time?
The difference between a mobility scooter and a car is its street legality. It cant meet any speed limits, has no safety. You wouldnt be able to drive an ATV in there either.
The whole point is a mobility scooter isnt a motor vehicle. She is a pedestrian while on that thing and is treated as such. - ChromaVita, on 06/18/2009, -1/+11I've been turned away on a bicycle. I don't get it. I ride my bike in the lane with cars almost every day. I even take the lane when necessary. If I'm considered a vehicle on the road why am I not considered a vehicle in the drive-thru? I'm only slightly more at risk than someone on a motorcycle. After an hour or so of dealing with some of the drivers out there, I think I deserve some ***** chicken nuggets.
- piieerrrree, on 06/18/2009, -1/+10So she's being discriminated against because the drive-through is opened an hour later than the walk-in..?
I think it's time for all of us to sue every fast-food chain ever, so we can all enjoy our right to food later than what they deem reasonable! /s - NeddieSeagoon, on 06/18/2009, -0/+9How was the "ex-stripper" detail relevant to the story?
- Spiltpickle, on 06/18/2009, -0/+8If people that can walk aren't allowed to walk through it, then her not being allowed to scooter through it is not discrimination. Its equal treatment. I know a paraplegic that can drive, so don't give me that excuse either. :)
- NakedJedi, on 06/18/2009, -1/+9I'm sorry. I shouldn't talk about your mom like that. I apologize.
- guinpen, on 06/18/2009, -2/+10They do. Thing is they're located behind doors. Unless you like checkers.
- kgerm, on 06/18/2009, -1/+9i show up 10 min before they stop serving breakfast, and its still all gone... why cant they serve it all day? and as far as the drive through it depends on who ever is enforcing the "rules" it is a 60-40% deal for me. 60% in my favor ...
or just look like your going to die if you don't eat... - asgardshill, on 06/18/2009, -1/+9White Castle can't win no matter which way they jump because she is obviously one of her best customers.
- HP844182, on 06/18/2009, -2/+9***** you, two of my friends died being crushed by a fat stripper
- secrity, on 06/18/2009, -0/+7She did bring it to their attention, and "White Castle tried to mollify her with coupons"
- thegrantman, on 06/18/2009, -1/+8I did the same thing and got served. I think the difference was a five dollar bill I offered as a "service charge".
