I do.
Do you believe in Coca, the Cola almighty, creator of heaven and earth?
I do. - captainXscalora, on 03/31/2009, -1/+42Now that baby has diabetes.
- kris33, on 04/01/2009, -0/+34This is *****. I'm Norwegian and know that the boy was baptized with lemon flavored bottled WATER, not cola. The water was produced by the Coca Cola Company however.

noun
1 a brown carbonated drink that is flavored with an extract of cola nuts, or with a similar flavoring.
Unless this soda was brown and cola nut flavored AND lemon flavored, they got this all sorts of wrong. - perryc, on 03/31/2009, -3/+27Diet or regular?
- Nefilim, on 04/01/2009, -0/+22I read the story in Norwegian media, they say it was carbonated water with a bit of lemon flavor.
- scooterbaga, on 03/31/2009, -1/+22Coke with lime?

- pilgrim3970, on 04/01/2009, -0/+7so I am assuming that you will not be passing yours on to your cildren?
- KrazyGamerHead, on 04/01/2009, -1/+7In some faiths, like Lutheranism, a soul cannot be saved usually unless it is baptized. Also, in times of crisis or emergency people will get the baby baptized using uncouth methods to baptize the baby to be safe, and then have a traditional baptism once it is possible.
- Magnum2066, on 04/01/2009, -2/+8Dear Sir/Madam,
That wasn't cola. That is all. - gelato822, on 04/01/2009, -2/+8this is unacceptable. if it was Dr Pepper, it might be ok.
- TedTschopp, on 04/01/2009, -0/+5Should a parent raise their child to be a good citizen, or should the parent let the child decide which laws of the state they want to keep and which they want to break?
What should a parent do if their child doesn't want to play nice with others, but wants to beat up the kid next door. Should the parent let their child continue in that way, or should the parent decide they want to raise their child in a certain way?
The whole idea of society from the beginning until now is based on the idea that parents communicate values and important information from their experiences to their children. Its the reason we have schools and churches. Its the reason western society has done so well while others have failed. The west does a really good job with the whole Train the trainer / mentoring the guy below you. - scooterbaga, on 03/31/2009, -1/+6ENJOY
- sittered, on 04/01/2009, -0/+5The British news media are sensationalist to a fault and a half.
So many of the stories they put out end up here on the front page because they sound so "out there" when really, they take liberties with the headline and disappoint you with the story. - badalchemist, on 04/01/2009, -1/+6In nomine Patris, et Filii, et Sprite Sancti
- deathmatch, on 04/01/2009, -3/+7The child has been baptized in the name of capitalism
- smoothmann, on 04/01/2009, -1/+5Won't work unless its with Nuka Cola or Nuka Cola Quantum
- kris33, on 04/01/2009, -0/+4Water with lemon, I guess that's both diet and regular.
- greevar, on 04/01/2009, -0/+4I regret having only enough blood to use either my brain or my penis at any given time.
- LordVance, on 04/01/2009, -0/+3Because the child can't grow up and make decisions for himself if he is baptized, am I right?
- TedTschopp, on 04/01/2009, -0/+3I'm going to call you on the statement that Lutheranism states that a soul cannot be saved unless it is baptized. Luther himself states that a soul is saved by the work of Christ, and your gift of faith that his life and death will be credited to you as your own. I believe that Luther would have condemned your position.
Additionally, Luther's own writings do not recommend re-baptism.
However you are correct that Lutheran practices state that substances that contain water can be used in the event of an dire circumstances. - codyman, on 04/01/2009, -0/+3This article is clearly false - a true Viking would baptize his child in the blood of a former enemy
- GVR90, on 04/01/2009, -0/+3Heh, nicely done.
- brianwong73, on 04/01/2009, -1/+4Religulous!
- geesamba, on 04/01/2009, -0/+3I wish that the Coke made in the US was made from cane sugar. I can taste a difference. Went to France and London and bought bottles of Coke, and I got hooked...
- dazparkour, on 04/01/2009, -2/+5I'm pretty sure when God freezes the pipes in a church before a baptism, that's his way of saying "I don't approve".
- kris33, on 04/01/2009, -0/+3Yeah, the Coca Cola Company bottled the water.
- sofaking30, on 04/01/2009, -0/+3I believe you can buy Mexican Coke from Costco.
- LordVance, on 04/01/2009, -1/+3I'm an atheist, but why the ***** do you care Biscuitz? Did they hurt anyone? *****, did they even hurt the baby? I was baptized and raised in a religious home; one day I got old enough to ask "Wait, so you're telling me <insert religious ***** here>?
Being baptized doesn't condemn you to a life of ignorance... it's just a religious ceremony conducted for the family. The kid can grow up and, if he decides that he isn't really religious (or this isn't the religion for him) he can say "Oh well, had some lemon water splashed on my forehead when I was a kid." However, if he does grow up to be religious, and they hadn't baptized him hell be right pissed. - KrazyGamerHead, on 04/01/2009, -2/+4For those of you wondering if it's even right to baptize an infant like this read this:
In some faiths, like Lutheranism, it is believed that a soul cannot be saved, usually, unless the person is baptized if they have the opportunity or means to doing it.. Also, in times of crisis or emergency people will get the baby baptized using uncouth methods to baptize the baby to be safe, and then have a traditional baptism once it is possible. - pilgrim3970, on 04/01/2009, -0/+2"as a baptist"
there fixed that for ya. - vitalychura, on 03/31/2009, -2/+4Coca-cola - that's cool!
the rest does not matter) - mayormc, on 04/01/2009, -0/+2pstroll,
um... I'm an official American Southerner and I have no idea what you mean. Down here every carbonated drink is referred to as Coke.
For example:
Southerner 1
"Would you like something to drink?"
Southerner 2
"Yes, a Coke please."
Southerner 1
"Alright, which kind?"
Southerner 2
"I'll have a Sprite."
Hope this helps you to better understand our mysterious Southern ways.
P.S. We also have "Magical Leprechauns" that ride on our "Wild and Abundant Unicorns" bareback. - pwnsey, on 04/01/2009, -0/+2When you wrote that did you seriously think that was funny?
- beautifulbeast, on 04/01/2009, -0/+2amen!
- Friskus, on 04/01/2009, -0/+2That is what they actually used, contrary to what the article is claiming.
