- darklink3, on 07/10/2009, -1/+25This article is not at all what I thought it was going to be. I thought there was going to be some sort of legitimate analysis of the fast food values....not some sort of poll data.
- swagv, on 07/10/2009, -2/+23Cheap now, expensive with your colon cancer later.
- BeShirtHappy, on 07/09/2009, -2/+21I try not to eat too much fast food... and it's been a long time since I've eaten McDonald's fries. But I have to admit, I love them! :(
- jessegrondin, on 07/10/2009, -1/+18Tim Hortons for coffee.
- wannaBdug, on 07/09/2009, -1/+16Of course I don't eat any of that stuff, really.
- AmyVernon, on 07/09/2009, -1/+14Of course not! Neither do I. Never. Especially the donuts.
- vault, on 07/10/2009, -1/+12I can't believe the Wendy's chicken sandwich beat Chick-fil-A. Chick-fil-A chicken sandwiches are in a class of their own.
- MacroDaemon, on 07/10/2009, -0/+10Yes, McDonald's is unhealthy, and it's popular to rip on fast food in general. But frankly, for a rare burger every now and then, it's not the worst place. Especially after factoring price into it.
- LanceUppercut, on 07/10/2009, -1/+9Taco Bell over Chipotle? maybe if your sample excluded anyone that wasn't homeless....
- janjamm, on 07/10/2009, -1/+8I am feeling a little queasy.
- senorboombino, on 07/09/2009, -2/+9I'll take one of everything, please.
- wilf_brim, on 07/10/2009, -0/+7I think this was national chains only. You see that In and Out wasn't represented in the burgers. Chick-fil-A is a South/Southeastern chain.
Now you have me jonsing for both their chicken, and SEC football. - AtomicTheory, on 07/10/2009, -0/+6You're a horrible liar.
- MayorMcCheapo, on 07/10/2009, -2/+8Great. Now I'm hungry... Remind me not to digg food stories @ dinnertime.
- pkon, on 07/10/2009, -0/+6Large Double Double $1.45 thank you.
- thejackyl, on 07/10/2009, -1/+7I think it's a little generous calling anything from a fast food join a "deal."
- Super6, on 07/10/2009, -0/+6Plus it was about value, the $1 Wendy's chicken sandwich is a good deal compared to Chick-fil-a which is nearly $3
- pe5t1lence, on 07/10/2009, -0/+6That's Col. Angus to you boy!
- TheBigBad, on 07/10/2009, -0/+5We're very proud of you.
- SweetDaddyD, on 07/10/2009, -0/+5I thought Ramen noodels at 10 packs for a buck was the best fast food value?
- inactive, on 07/10/2009, -1/+5yes...because everythign you eat is high in nutrition and great for you And your OPINIONS on taste are fact. Gotcha.
- Indyanna, on 07/10/2009, -0/+4My favorite - Burger King's Whopper, Jr. for $1. Also, their 12 oz. shake for $1.
- inactive, on 07/10/2009, -0/+4Carl's Jr. Spicy Chicken. Thing is like twice the size of a McChicken, tastes very similar to actual food (as opposed to oily cardboard), and just 99 cents.
- magneteye, on 07/10/2009, -0/+4Mexican Signature Dish = Taco Bell? I don't recall that food ever being claimed as actual "Mexican" food.
- getoffmybridge, on 07/10/2009, -2/+6Anything but McDonalds
- vault, on 07/10/2009, -1/+4There are Chick-fil-A's in the Northeast and California. But yeah, I guess when you're talking about the value, it's hard to compete with $1. I dunno...Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich is worth the little extra money.
- ciar, on 07/10/2009, -0/+3chipotle gives you a lot of burrito for the price, plus it's damn tasty
- agentbob, on 07/10/2009, -0/+3Chipotle is good, but I hardly find it to be a "value" ...
- theartfuldodgr, on 07/10/2009, -0/+3We have Click-fil-A here in NJ. I go there every other week to get the grilled chicken sandwhich, throw alittle of their honey bbq sauce on it, and I'm in heaven.
- Super6, on 07/10/2009, -2/+5McDonald's had those $3.99 value meals one month, those were a really good deal, and now they have large iced tea or soda for $1 and their tea is the closest to homemade I've ever had so that's a good deal, then BK has the 2 for $3 deal which is good if you're with a friend or don't want fries and a drink.
- Super6, on 07/10/2009, -0/+3Again, this is about the best values, 2 .99 burritos will will fill you up, that's cheaper than ~$6 at Chipotle
- Vulphaestion, on 07/10/2009, -1/+4I don't know about you, but I got a decent chick strip sandwich, small fry, and small drink for only $2.65 at Sonic. That was tasty.
- bdbr, on 07/10/2009, -0/+3Baja Fresh is damned good, too. But if its just about value, Taco Bell does have some tasty yet not completely identifiable stuffings.
- Vulphaestion, on 07/10/2009, -0/+3Chick-fil-A is in PA as well.
- inactive, on 07/10/2009, -0/+3What McDonalds do these people go to? The ones around here have the most worthless employees of any business in existence. I've never had a meal there that wasn't made wrong 3 times in a row, or didn't have old fries or a burger that had been kept warm for like 2 hours.
Maybe McDonald's is a decent place... somewhere, but it sure isn't here. ***** that place.
Whataburger is the ***** btw. - inactive, on 07/10/2009, -0/+3best bang for the buck, huh? Wait till you see how much your medical bills cost because of your coronary heart disease...
Yeah, best bang for the buck... - bdbr, on 07/10/2009, -0/+3The best fast food burger meal would be a Whopper with McDonald's fries.
- Majora26, on 07/10/2009, -0/+2same part chicken fries come from on the chicken
- magneteye, on 07/10/2009, -1/+3Too bad the people that eat at these places regularly don't Value their health.
- laofmoonster, on 07/10/2009, -2/+4They're only a good value until you have to pay for bypass heart surgery... then you're screwed.
- BREZZZ, on 07/10/2009, -0/+2http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWHXo3clywk
- astroslut, on 07/10/2009, -1/+3You fat *****.
- inactive, on 07/10/2009, -1/+3The best deal by far? Burger King. On the back of every receipt is a telephone number for a survey. It can ask anywhere from 4 questions in less than a minute to a bunch of questions over 5-6 minutes. When you are done, they give you a code to write on the back.
That receipt is good for a free Whopper or original Chicken Sandwich when you buy any sized drink and fries.
So, you get a Whopper, drink and fries for $2 if you go with the value menu fries and drink. (If you are eating in, the drinks are free refills anwyay.) And you of course are given a receipt when you order to use next time. Considering the Whopper alone is $3.09 where I am, and hte chicken sandwich is $3.79, it amazes me when I see people buying htem, and then chucking the receipt. - CafeFreak, on 07/16/2009, -0/+2Clearly these people have not tried 'breakfast on the run' at Food for Me - Turkish bread with bacon, omelette, spinach & cheese, topped off with the most magnificent tomato relish - packed full of goodness...or is that God-ness? www.foodforme.com.au
Andrew - TheBigBad, on 07/10/2009, -0/+2If you think McDonald's tea is good try Chick-fil-A.
- 12340987, on 07/12/2009, -0/+2what about the jumbo jack?
- vault, on 07/11/2009, -0/+2I've only ever gotten the classic fried one, which I put mayo on. I'll have to try grilled one day when I'm feeling health-conscious.
- inactive, on 07/13/2009, -0/+2I'd prefer a more quantitative report. Calories/dollar or something along those lines.
- Ugoff, on 07/10/2009, -0/+2Chipotle kicks so much ass but kind of pricey for a broke college student like me to have too often. Del Taco is really good "Mexican" fast food, totally blows the other chains out of the water. I guess being broke is good because I can't do fast food a lot.
