- Barackalypse, on 07/06/2008, -0/+27Yeah, I hear obesity and diabetes are a real big problem in a place where thousands of people starve every week.
- inactive, on 07/06/2008, -2/+28Warning: There seems to be a rapid case of 'sand vagina' among those who are digging and burying comments in this area. Beware. It is contagous.
- Barackalypse, on 07/06/2008, -0/+25So you agree with the article then, that Coke is one of the best trackers of stability in the Continent. If its 20-30 cents elsewhere and $6 in Zimbabwe, guess what that says about local inflation?
- inactive, on 07/06/2008, -5/+30Maybe they still make it with Cocaine in Africa.
- notjasonlee, on 07/06/2008, -1/+22good job you fat slob. why don't you try to keep your mouth open while i try to throw peanut m&m's into it for my own personal entertainment?
btw, litter is what your cat ***** in. - scalded, on 07/06/2008, -1/+14Our coke only contains high fructose corn syrup because it's cheaper than any other sweetener in the US because of corn subsidies and sugar import quotas. Coca-Cola only manufactures and sells the flavor concentrate, it's up to the bottling plants across the world to add their own local water and sweetener.
- Vhaeos, on 07/06/2008, -2/+13Yeah you're right, coca-cola should get out of africa. African's don't buy coca-cola because they like it, and they probably hate the jobs coca-cola provides.
- thelif, on 07/06/2008, -0/+10Bet they can pay a guy 2 dollars to carry a thousand crate of it, how many would you carry for 2 dollars?
- superkendall, on 07/06/2008, -2/+11Yes, Captain Obvious, we all know Coke has no nutritional value. That doesn't mean it does not taste good. Anything is moderation is OK, Coke included.
- Tyrghast, on 07/06/2008, -1/+10Because everyone who drinks soft drinks in the US is fat.
Did a fat kid beat you in school? What is your problem? - SitPoMk, on 07/06/2008, -4/+11Oh god ... i must confess
I just read that as Index of /Happiness
I need to get out some more - fuzzybeard, on 07/06/2008, -0/+7Diabeetus.
- Incidents, on 07/06/2008, -0/+7On the other hand, Pepsi is 30 to 40 American cents, about the price of a middle class wife.
- inactive, on 07/06/2008, -0/+6The technical term is Desertus Vaginitus...
- ShogunWarPig, on 07/06/2008, -0/+6have a coke with a straw and smile?
- wipis, on 07/06/2008, -2/+8FTA: "Events in the Middle East, such as the 2006 war between Hezbollah and Israel, can dent sales in Muslim parts of Africa, though anti-American feeling usually wears off quite quickly."
They hate our society, religion, politics and diplomacy but they love our products and our culture. Saudi's come here to shop for skimpy clothes and go to our wild clubs. Iranians and Iraqi's love our music and our art. Everyone loves coke and they all want to wear Tommy Hilfiger. And they wonder why we don't understand the middle east. We understand them better then either of us knows. But we're all so hypocritical that we act like we're totally different species. - TheMachine1, on 07/06/2008, -0/+6I want some of those peanut m&m's.
- ovset, on 07/06/2008, -0/+5I actually have a friend who sells vending machines to African markets. I guess even distraught nations need their sugar water.
- drmobutu, on 07/06/2008, -1/+6Coca-Cola is a helluva drug...
- lordtyros, on 07/06/2008, -0/+5Protip: Some people actually have bigger problems to worry about than the evils of Coca Cola Corp.
- Barackalypse, on 07/06/2008, -0/+5What's $7.2 billion dollars going to accomplish on a continent with roughly a billion people? The US has literally spent trillions of dollars on anti-poverty programs trying to help a lot fewer people and we have nothing to show for it except a new dependent class. I'd rather we spend the money on Coke, at least that tastes good and quenches my thirst (and yes, it does quench my thirst, its mostly water).
- Owwmykneecap, on 07/06/2008, -2/+7what did you think it costs them that much to make it?
2 litres of coke is probably worth less than 5 cents.
the stuff in Maccy d's is even worth far less. - santaliqueur, on 07/06/2008, -0/+4This is a thinly veiled attempt to say that "The Man" is forcing poor people to use his product and make "him" richer.
Listen, these people drink Coke because they like it. Nobody is forcing anyone. - jtbell04, on 07/06/2008, -0/+4No, YOU the imbecile!

Where did he say he was from the US? - Owwmykneecap, on 07/06/2008, -0/+4of course coke has nutritional value you imbecile...
It just has a lot of negatives too especially with over consumption.. - inactive, on 07/06/2008, -0/+4What's wrong with using the good ol' Big Mac Index?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Mac_Index - Failchan, on 07/06/2008, -0/+4Then why are they all ***** dead?
- Owwmykneecap, on 07/06/2008, -1/+5suicide?
- inactive, on 07/06/2008, -0/+4It was a Franchise of Coke and Cot Coco Cola itself who did that.
- ivansusanin, on 07/06/2008, -1/+4LOL

Let me see, anti-American much? You seem to think 9/11 was an inside job, you only mentioned it 10 times in the past 25 comments. You clearly hate this country, nobody is forcing you to stay. I'm sure I'll be lumped in with "the masses" to make it easier for you to hate me. - Barackalypse, on 07/06/2008, -0/+3Presumably these are inside of some store or other controlled area, because in a place where people actually rip down live electrical lines to steal the copper, I can't imagine a metal box with drinks and money in it is going to stand a chance unguarded.
- shoguner, on 07/06/2008, -2/+5humm , that's why Drebin and his monkey love soda!
- Failchan, on 07/06/2008, -1/+3Who's the moron that dugg this down? MGS4 is a masterpiece.

- Owwmykneecap, on 07/06/2008, -0/+2put it this way, I work there
- Barackalypse, on 07/06/2008, -0/+2There are cheaper ways of getting calories than Coke. 7 oz of uncooked rice has approximately 700 calories and would cost under 50 cents (roughly the cost of 2 Cokes there which only have 300 total calories).
- Gndoab, on 07/06/2008, -0/+2keep it at 0!
- lusenok2, on 07/06/2008, -1/+3That's bad. Soda is not a healthy thing.
Too much sugar (10-12% by weight!) and too much acid (pH 2.5, more acidic than vinegar!) - NuclearIsShit, on 07/06/2008, -2/+4These business magazines and other media sources are always trying to make everything business so positive. What about what these corporate criminals have done to the populations around the world, now those stories would be worthy of being dugg.
- santaliqueur, on 07/06/2008, -0/+2You mean sandgina?
- inactive, on 07/06/2008, -0/+2In Africa it Can be a good thing. It might not be good in the long run but Calories from Coke are much needed by most Africans when food diet is less then Adequate.
- shoguner, on 07/06/2008, -3/+5your tax dollars went to war , so shut up.
- bosssmiley, on 07/07/2008, -0/+2Only solution: throw it off the edge of the world!
