- andrewtc04, on 07/09/2009, -1/+10I think Oskars on the gold coast looks the nicest. Surprised not to see any Hong Kong waterfront hotels on the list...
- LBTS, on 07/09/2009, -0/+8This article brought back fond memories of Windows on the World near the top of the World Trade Center. It was so high up that you felt like you were in an airplane, and the view of Manhattan was indescribably spectacular.
Windows on the World was expensive at night, but you could get a $6 hamburger there during lunch, and the crowd was usually light.
I hope the Twin Towers are eventually rebuilt. - heysuburbia, on 07/09/2009, -0/+7My Continental breakfast at the Parc 55 in San Fran had a great view (Taken with iPhone):

- Pyehole, on 07/09/2009, -0/+3Totally missed the ball by omitting the Seattle Space Needle. Revolving restaurant that gives you a birds eye view of the area.
- JohnGalt750, on 07/09/2009, -1/+4Space needle anyone?

- BillE3, on 07/09/2009, -1/+4I agree. It is a great view. Watching seaplanes fly by at eye level is incredible.

- JamesWjRose, on 07/09/2009, -0/+2I'm sure it's a typo, but the Cliff House is on the Pacific coast. (sorry to bug ya)
The view there at sunset can be fantastic, especially if there is a bit of fog (which in sf is often)
We live just off Times Square, but haven't been up to that restaurant yet. - LilJimmyNordin, on 07/10/2009, -1/+3Seriously, no 360? It's in the tallest freestanding structure in North America, for crap's sake. Buried as *****.
- inactive, on 07/09/2009, -1/+3Milliways Restaurant FTW
best view ever and again. - decker12, on 07/09/2009, -3/+5Pretty pictures, awful commentary.
- basichuman, on 07/09/2009, -0/+2My vote goes to Piz Gloria in Switzerland.

Here's a shot of the restaurant.

The view is definitely amazing. - BillE3, on 07/09/2009, -1/+3Moscow, Ostankino Tower, Restaurant Seventh Heaven
Excellent food with a revolving view over 1/4 mile in the sky above Moscow. - ghebert, on 07/09/2009, -1/+3My girlfriend and I took my mom to the Loews in Quebec City last winter. Extremely expensive, but you have to experience it once in a lifetime.
- YourNameHere1, on 07/09/2009, -0/+2I used to live right around there and watch the sunset from that steep cliff that overlooks the Cliff House restaurant in Sutro Heights Park (I've also seen plenty of sunsets while surfing Kelly's cove). In fact that picture of the Cliff House is taken from Sutro Heights Park.
If you look at this picture (directly right of the bird) you can see the steep cliffs of the Sutro Heights Park:

That park is one of my favorite places I used to go in San Francisco: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sutro_Heights_Park - inactive, on 07/09/2009, -1/+2"Deja Vu" in Pomona, California. Hot wings, and fat titties in your face.
/win - aceinhibitor, on 07/10/2009, -0/+1One of the restaurants on The Peak, Hong Kong should have made the list.
- nevaseez, on 07/09/2009, -1/+2How about the Revolving Dining Room in the Skylon tower, Niagara Falls, Canada?

Phuket!
Phuket! - andrewtc04, on 07/10/2009, -0/+1@Eamon - Can you take some the recommendations from this list and add to the article? It would be awesome to have the definitive list...
- everythingiknow, on 07/10/2009, -0/+1No Hong Kong on the list? The view from Aqua Spirit is incredible.
- swiftheart, on 07/09/2009, -0/+1I usually don't play language Nazi, but "15 Most Breathtaking Restaurants with a View" implies 15 extraordinary restaurants that happen to have a view, whereas the submitter wanted something more like "15 Restaurants with the Most Breathtaking Views"
- musters, on 07/10/2009, -0/+1I can't believe they missed this one. A late dinner here, 500m above, floating above Toronto's financial district, it is a magical spot!
- zagatbuzz, on 07/09/2009, -0/+1I think I might just have to agree with that, although the Japanese Plush hotel was not bad either
- Erowid, on 07/09/2009, -0/+1Nice... I'm in San Pedro la Laguna, on Lake Atitlan in Guatemala right now... The view from breakfast yesterday morning (just uploaded like 6 of the 180 pics I took yesterday): http://picasaweb.google.com/ryan.faulkner/Guatemal ... ... Beats much of the stuff in the article imo ;)
- Skurt, on 07/09/2009, -0/+1With all the views you could get of Las Vegas at night atop the Stratosphere, they choose the one of the street below, and the back of the Strat instead of a wide reaching view of the strips famous lights.
morons - Hinchcliffe, on 07/09/2009, -1/+1Mount Fuji wins it for me.
- 4AntiStupid, on 07/11/2009, -0/+0I would skip the Stratosphere. At one time I'm sure it was nice but that part of town has really gone into the dumper. I did go to the Skylon in Niagara Falls. The dining is pretty average tourist style but the view is great.
- cheddaro, on 07/09/2009, -1/+1HDR: The new lens flare.
- eamondownes, on 07/09/2009, -0/+0Well spotted, though I have good eyesight and can see both oceans from there!
- ratatoskar, on 07/09/2009, -3/+3Shocking article. Lake Como is supposed to be in Russia? It is located in the Italian region Lombardy, close to the Swiss border (~2200km from Moscow, Russia). The Tour Montparnasse is supposed to be the astronomically highest dining point in Europe? Aren't there at least 3000m missing for it to be the highest dining point in Europe?
- Emzyne, on 07/10/2009, -0/+0Wow, what I'd give for a Mai Thai in Baan Rim Pa right now...
- MissRachelle, on 07/09/2009, -3/+1I wouldn't mind dinner and a pyramid!
- eamondownes, on 07/09/2009, -3/+1Is it boring to say the National Portrait Gallery? Ok, then I would go for the Atlantic Views from Cliff House
