- Osirus1156, on 10/22/2008, -3/+109What the ***** kinda kid does not like malt balls!?
- MadCatter, on 10/22/2008, -0/+91I love smarties :(
- llamaspit, on 10/22/2008, -0/+71Man, the BEST was getting a full-sized candy bar. It didn't matter what kind, just as long as it was a full candy bar. It was like it was made of gold.
- prayforwinter, on 10/21/2008, -1/+54They forgot Werther's--the candy that old men can pull out of their pants at moments notice.
- JerichoSam, on 10/22/2008, -8/+56Circus peanuts are the WORST!
- Linguo, on 10/21/2008, -1/+47I like smarties too. But I used to get raisins when I was a kid (late 80's early 90's). Seriously? Raisins? Those houses were subsequently T.P.'ed and their pumpkins demolished.
- blademanx, on 10/22/2008, -0/+32Smarties and malt balls? HOW DARE YOU, MADAM!
- modernista29, on 10/22/2008, -3/+33oh wait. i like almost all of those. what's wrong with mounds?
- Hetman, on 10/22/2008, -1/+25I like mounds and smarties. I can see mounds because everyone does not like coconut.
- vegx, on 10/22/2008, -8/+30Tootsie Rolls were always my least favorite.
- giveer, on 10/22/2008, -1/+22Wow America, your smarties are ***** up. ..
Please allow me to introduce "Smarties" the way the rest of the world knows them, they're candy coated chocolate.... (so tell me when I ask.... ) Everybody now!!!

- shyner, on 10/22/2008, -0/+19Malt balls are AWESOME.
- Brododium, on 10/22/2008, -0/+19That's really strange, Smarties in Australia (made by Nestlé) are like M&Ms for kids, what you guys call 'Smarties' we call fizzers. Jujubes = bliss and Malt Balls (Maltesers) are amazing.
As a kid I loved pretty much all of these, as an adult I love them even more. - trillions, on 10/22/2008, -0/+18"in their Halloween baskets"
who puts their Halloween candy in a BASKET?!
pillow case FTW! - chickenloco, on 10/22/2008, -0/+18My favorite was a lady who gave a king sized candy bar or a coke.
- infiniphunk, on 10/22/2008, -0/+17to honor the animal, we eat every part of it.
- cyrix, on 10/22/2008, -1/+18"Candy corn is the only candy in the history of America that's never been advertised. And there's a reason. All of the candy corn that was ever made was made in 1911. And so, since nobody eats that stuff, every year there's a ton of it left over. And the candy corn company sends the guys out into the villages, to collect out of the dumpsters all the candy corn we've thrown away. They wash it! They wash it! I'll never forget the first time my mother gave me candy corn. She said, 'Here Lewis! This is corn that tastes like candy!' (takes it, eats it) ... 'This tastes like crap!' And every year since then, Halloween is returned and I, like an Alzheimer's patient, find myself in a room, and the room has a table in it, and on the table, is a bowl of candy corn. And I look at it, as if I've never seen it before. 'Candy corn,' I think. 'Corn that tastes like candy. I can't wait.' (takes it, takes a bite) 'SON OF A BITCH!'"
- Lewis Black - MarkDenali, on 10/22/2008, -0/+16Jujubees are so yummy, but ill take sour patch kids over juju any day.
- kentifer, on 10/22/2008, -0/+16Whaaat?

- Abatrour, on 10/22/2008, -0/+13USA Smarties = Rockets in Canada and other countries.
In Canada Smarties are like m&m's but smaller. - FrancoisLyon, on 10/22/2008, -0/+13the raisins are always in one giant clump.
- muleskinner, on 10/22/2008, -1/+13Malted milkballs are the ***** win. Article buried for LIES
- coolcash2005, on 10/22/2008, -2/+14Ohh, we ALL knew peanut butter kisses would be the ***** show of this list. Its amazing they still exist. As for the other candies, I love malt balls.
- LaurenHoleman, on 10/22/2008, -0/+12Maybe it's just me, but I still think peanut butter kisses are freakin excellent.
- toadlicker8cp, on 10/22/2008, -1/+12buried for smarties
- Zephik, on 10/22/2008, -0/+11Dugg up, but only because I used to actually love those as a kid and so you brought some good memories back to me. ^_^
- woodnymph, on 10/22/2008, -0/+10apples aren't poisoned. they have razorblades in them
- weaselfingers, on 10/22/2008, -0/+10Rockets are called Smarties only in America. Nestlé owns the right to the trademark in the rest of the world.
At least, I seem to vaguely remember reading something like that on the Internet once. But really, there's no source more reliable than vague memories of the Internet. - solidus636, on 10/22/2008, -0/+10This whole list is BS. I love mounds.
- abajaj2280, on 10/22/2008, -1/+11i should print this article out and give it to all of my ***** neighbors
- Kruez, on 10/22/2008, -0/+10I wish I had your grandpa....
- Gir53457, on 10/22/2008, -0/+10Boom-de-yada,Boom-de-yada.
- RobotBuddha, on 10/22/2008, -0/+9Seriously, both are pure bliss. Even better is that so many people hate them. Means all the more for me!
- Breticus07, on 10/22/2008, -0/+9baked goods? really? I loved getting those because it usually meant more.
- bradharrelson, on 10/22/2008, -2/+11Buried.
Smarties are awesome. - Nikkon2131, on 10/22/2008, -0/+8I think the point with the baked goods is that parents will throw them away due to poison concerns. But when I trick-or-treated, my parents didn't really care all that much, must be different now.
- gogog0, on 10/22/2008, -0/+8im pretty sure this 40-something single childless broad doesn't have a clue what kids like or don't. smartees and jujubees were the *****.
- DjOverEZ, on 10/22/2008, -0/+8You are talking about candy still, right?
- snafflepaffle, on 10/22/2008, -0/+8I'm eating smarties right now. I broke into the Halloween candy.
- christopherRB, on 10/22/2008, -2/+10I like all of them except the good & Plentys. I must be getting old
- giveer, on 10/22/2008, -0/+7Good thought, though they are different than M&M's. Very similar sure, but, and I'm not just saying this, anyone who has grown up with them could easily tell the difference between the two. Smarties certainly have more of a candied chocolate flavour to them. M&M's seem to have a bit of raw chocolate-sharpness in the taste that, albeit yummy, after about 10 or so makes me incredibly thirsty. Smarties (the non-American version) will just make you happy to be alive.. :)
- NegativeIon, on 10/22/2008, -4/+11nothing os more gross than those florescent colored marshmallow bunnies from easter. pure toxin.
- inactive, on 10/22/2008, -0/+7I don't understand.
chewy, chocolate, sugar, what's not to like? - CitizenSweeps, on 10/22/2008, -2/+9I always hated Bottle Caps. I seemed to get a lot of them as well.
- pradaaddict, on 10/22/2008, -0/+7in Canada and the UK 'Smarties' are called Rockets. And they kick ass
- Lunarsight, on 10/22/2008, -1/+8I realize I'm in the minority on this one, but I think Circus Peanuts are totally awesome.
Try mixing circus peanuts and a bottle of Coca-Cola for the most amazing energy rush.
(The only downside is the inevitable crash five minutes later and a very expensive trip to the dentist a few months down the road.) -
