- robwhite1979, on 10/27/2009, -1/+92Tootsie Rolls are freakin' awesome... I don't know what whoever wrote this article is smoking (or not smoking) to cause him to disagree with that statement.
- XTomTomX, on 10/27/2009, -1/+44How about a kick in the balls, you spoiled little *****, for egging my house last year?
You'll get nothing and ***** like it.
You know what I got for you this Halloween?
A 30 gauge full of rock salt if I see so much as one of you freaking hooligans cross my threshold.
Goddamned little punks.
And stay off my lawn!! - notzak, on 10/27/2009, -1/+4212: Gonorrhea
- Adogg401, on 10/27/2009, -0/+37How old is this guy going around trick or treating?
- thezoner, on 10/27/2009, -1/+37penny givers beware: those always came right back at the house after you closed the door in my day
- tehWyman, on 10/27/2009, -2/+25Nerds are awesome; you are not.
- dubhilton, on 10/27/2009, -2/+23You forgot homemade popcorn balls. And candy corn. And wax bottles full of nasty sugar water. What has happened to serious journalism in this country?
- StigNordas, on 10/27/2009, -0/+18$100 bills. nothing worse.
- KSUdesigner, on 10/27/2009, -1/+18I love the razor blades they put in the brownies.
- killamockingbrd, on 10/27/2009, -2/+17How about that taffy-like drivel that comes in orange or black wrapping and tastes moderately like peanut butter, but has a hint of dirty ass in the after taste?
#5 on this list for those who need a visual http://bit.ly/1E9RSL - Killmaster, on 10/27/2009, -2/+16my mom is one of those people who gives out those dumbass spider rings and ***** like that. surprised we never got egged or anything like that.
- Narcism, on 10/27/2009, -0/+13I love Mike/Ikes. Unless, you're talking about someone putting a single Mike or Ike in your bag.
- rwbrinso, on 10/27/2009, -9/+22If someone puts a Mike/Ike in my bag, they're getting punched.
- fishbeef33, on 10/27/2009, -1/+13What's your address? I'll be right over.
- Shakermaker, on 10/27/2009, -0/+12There's nothing I hate more than teenagers going trick-or-treating. Some of them don't even dress up - they just grab a bag and go around.
If you're a 14/15 year old kid, and you show up at my house on halloween, I'm giving you the ***** candy I got....probably those stale no-name brand chips that taste like cardboard.... - asgardshill, on 10/27/2009, -0/+11I'd kill to get Tootsie Rolls myself, so I agree. (Well, at least until my fillings start to get yanked out by all that gooey chocolatey goodness...)
- axalon, on 10/27/2009, -0/+11I love when they just leave a plate of brownies out and say "take one".
- Hindukid, on 10/27/2009, -0/+11whoa whoa whoa, those spider rings were bad ass man. It's like there's a spider...ON YOUR FINGER! :O
- awesometown, on 10/27/2009, -1/+12The article does make an exception for flavored Tootsie Rolls, if that makes you feel any better. I prefer the flavored kind myself. Or Tootsie Roll Pops.
- iruber1337, on 10/27/2009, -0/+11An old lady used to give us apples -- it was probably poison but we'd put them behind car wheels so when they are pulling out the next day they'd think they ran over someone.
- dsherman73, on 10/27/2009, -8/+19OMG.. Tootsie Rolls, Circus peanuts, JuJubees, and Good n plenty.... what are you smokin' They are my favorites. They rule... I also like the Candy corn, Dots, and Malted milk balls... YUM
What I don't like are those Smarties, nerds, gum, dumdums lollypops, and life savers.... yuck... - yosafbridge, on 10/27/2009, -0/+10Hey, Werthers may be old people candy...but they're delicious!
'Course, If I was still a little kid I wouldn't feel this way...I guess my taste buds evolved over the years. - firebhaal, on 10/27/2009, -0/+1013: Surprise buttsecks
- inactive, on 10/27/2009, -1/+11Dude, smarties and nerds rule.
- mrMunchies, on 10/27/2009, -0/+10The houses that give out the little bags of stuff usually put a bunch of cheap crap in them. You only find out what they gave you once you go home to look through your loot.
- sleestakslayer, on 10/27/2009, -0/+10Well, they still love transformers and aren't interested in women yet, so do the math.
- zantos420, on 10/27/2009, -0/+10more people need to hand out those root beer flavored barrels
oh, and ***** everyone for getting to celebrate halloween because i can't since this country doesn't celebrate it :( - yosafbridge, on 10/27/2009, -2/+11The problem with Tootsie Rolls is EVERYONE gives them out...because they're often in almost every type of pre-packaged variety candy you can possibly buy. And they're often in excess so you'll end up getting a tootsie pop, a box of Dots and 25 tootsie rolls at every house.
Sure a couple tootsies are awesome...but 200 tootsies left over after you've finished the rest of your candy sucks major donkey balls. - blitzwing85, on 10/27/2009, -2/+11Please no Necco Wafers, Werther's, or any other old people candy.
And definitely no wax lips! - inactive, on 10/27/2009, -1/+9Circus Peanuts are awesome.
- iheartbakon, on 10/27/2009, -1/+9Sounds like a good excuse to make ass pennies.
- kcpepper111, on 10/27/2009, -1/+9The worst are those unknown/peanut butter taffy like candies in black or orange wax paper. GROSS.
- a117, on 10/27/2009, -1/+930 gauge full of rock salt? Amateur... I use U.S. Government Issue land mines. Keeps kids AND people walking their dogs of my lawn. *hawks a loogie*

- aforsberg, on 10/27/2009, -2/+9I bought myself a 400 peice bag of those things. Barely lasted two weeks.
It was fun on a bun. - inactive, on 10/27/2009, -0/+7All tootsie rolls are amazing. That was my favorite candy. The way you spin that wrapper and toss it in your mouth. Perfect. What an ***** for including these. Your ratio is 64/0. I guess the author is the only one.
Second, who gets baby carrots?
Third. Has anyone ever been tricked before instead of receiving a treat? - ikildsatan, on 10/27/2009, -0/+7Chocolate covered Urinal cakes
- pisseddog, on 10/27/2009, -0/+712. Roofies
- dlm85, on 10/27/2009, -0/+7What are the ideal treats for the 16 year old who has no costume?
What about the toothless mother pushing a newborn in a stroller? - shroommi, on 10/27/2009, -0/+6My mom likes to buy those. I'm not really sure why, since they do not get eaten often. Funny thing: They taste the same even if they have been hanging out in the cupboard for more than 3 years.
- shroommi, on 10/27/2009, -1/+7I love baby carrots fresh from the fridge - not after they've been hanging out in my pillowcase/trick-or-treat bag for a few hours.
- yosafbridge, on 10/27/2009, -0/+6Really though? Pennies? That doesn't even count as money!
I was pleased as punch to get nickels, dimes and quarters when I was little...at least I could buy a bit of candy or a soda if I got enough of them. Pennies blew...unless every house gave a couple of them out you can't buy anything with the 12cents you got from the cheapskate houses. Thus they're worthless since you're 5 and unable to work to supplement your Halloween income, you might as well give out scraps of metal or bits of plastic. - Krakerjax, on 10/27/2009, -1/+7I'm genuinely fascinated to see people disappointed when someone else gives them money in any form.
- XTomTomX, on 10/27/2009, -1/+7Yeah, I hear you, man.
Unfortunately you can only use them once, and it tends to draw the swat team, but it still beats Wheel Of Fortune night with the missus. - flyinfoofighter, on 10/27/2009, -0/+6It brings a joyful tear to my eye when I see blackmail and violent retribution being encouraged at such a young age.
- XTomTomX, on 10/27/2009, -1/+6Walmart.
No foolin!'
Right next to the Nerf Frisbees. - tacojohn48, on 10/27/2009, -0/+5@bci84 I think he meant diamonds.
- oneups, on 10/27/2009, -1/+6lol... i think most parents would be worried about poison or something with brownies
- forwardslashwtf, on 10/27/2009, -0/+5I agree with everything but the Tootsie Rolls... Come on they rock! :)
