- tybris, on 10/11/2007, -0/+21You would seriously have been laughed at if you would have brought one of these during the peak of the super soaker days.
- BassMastr, on 10/11/2007, -0/+21Anything less than a Tarantula and you're just spitting...
- fusama, on 10/11/2007, -1/+21Ah the days of super soakers. My favorite thing to do was to take the reservoir off a super soaker 50 and screw in a hose. Had to keep firing though, if you stopped for too long the pressure would break the internals of the 50.
- theokandroid, on 10/11/2007, -0/+16Those things were only 20 bucks?! My parents were always bitching about how expensive they were.
- SmackaMuta, on 10/11/2007, -1/+17This is my choice:

"The stream released causes kickback which can be felt by the user."
That was a HARD CORE WATER GUN!!!! - gbro, on 10/11/2007, -0/+15Water pistols produced lately seem inferior to ones made ~7 years ago.
I'm talking about this:

The Most Fun You Can Have Alone, But Better With Friends, July 3, 2007
By Spib Appli (Ft Myers, FL)
Unlike the case of most reviews, I was born with my Oozinator. I took me a while to understand how to use it, since it came without instructions. The first use was a total disappointment, after only a couple of pumps it ran out of bio-ooze. With time and practice things improved. I was able to control my pumping so effectively that I could last over an hour on a single bio-ooze charge. As far as accuracy, Man, I could hit everything, the dog, the drapes, the kitchen sink. Heck, one time I even hit my neighbor Ms. Lewinsky all over her new blue dress, I was unstoppable. When I invited my friend Becky over, things changed forever; Someone else pumping my Oozinator, and me firing at will...It don't get no better than that. Becky says that she knows even better ways to use my Oozinator, I can't wait to find out how. Will keep you informed. - DeusNova, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13Dugg for nostalgia.
- adolfojp, on 10/11/2007, -0/+12Does laughing like a madman at your gif make me a bad person?
- geoffpado, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10More pressure, accuracy, distance. Simple rerouting.
- EntangledPhysx, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9BRING ON THE PAIN!!!!
- krakhed, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9I miss realistic water guns. Black ones not the neon colored ones.
- mindsnare, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8Oh man I remember the backpack, awesome stuff
- S4MF1SHER, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7Here's what I use: http://www.sscentral.org/reviews/monster.php
Compensating for something? Maybe, maybe not. I still enjoy watching my wife lose every water gun fight we've had. :) - redrock34, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8Product placement.
- hypodan, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7Little kids get shot when they are mistaken for real guns. :(
- cien750hp, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6that ones freaking amazing. i remember hardly being able to carry it but dominating every water fight i ever got in. aw, the memories of blasting the hell out of my friends.
- jmp478, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Also, The Crappiest Flash Player Ever.
- ajchavar, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6smaller nozzle=better pressure=more pain
- idc5, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6well the video had a girl in a white tee being shot.. too bad she wasn't hot
i used to have a backpack super soaker that was way cooler than all of these esp. at the swimming pool - crimsoncircle, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Old School Super Soaker's would dominate all of these. The one I had had a pretty powerful kick (for a 10 year old anyway)
- Signa91, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4i was thinking the exact same thing. i laughed so fricken hard, man. every single one of the reviews has sexual innuendos in it. its hilarious.
- Wootery, on 11/10/2007, -0/+4Never heard it called that before.
- elk1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3my personal favorite water gun, but things can get messy with this one

I've been waiting 19 years to get a good one.
- dropoutfilms, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3This will come in handy -- I'm going to be part of a flash mob waterfight this Saturday.
(Organizers are expecting 3000-5000 people... oh the humanity!) - XHashmeerX, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3I had an awesome battery operated one in the early 90s as a kid that looked like a Mac-10 with a little cartridge styled water tank that was removeable and refillable.
Pleanty of people mod their guns, paint them, do some work on them to increase performacne and visual style. - deltawk, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Come on, pitting a motorized water gun against hand-cranked ones?
- crossmr, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3at least 30 feet? at least 2 of the water guns fired over 30 feet.
- blackacre, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Back in the day, about 15 years ago, I believe they ran $50-100.
- TripcodeMel, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2CPS2000 had nothin' on the Monster XL.
Uh. Aside from the fact that you could carry it around. Haha. - SpaceManSR, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Does anyone know the name of the water pistol that shot big balls of water? It looked so good on TV but I can't remember what it was called.
- patm1987, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2yes, but there's also more forward velocity at 35. The 35 though seems like a totally arbitrary number and finding an exact angle would require actually knowing the air resistance to the water and a nasty integral (I hate integrals).
- dewfish, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2yup, its true. It's why water guns don't resemble real guns anymore, in shape or color.
- soupcancooloff, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2When they did the distance tests they didn't make sure that they were shooting all of the guns at the same angle. As I'm sure you know to get the longest distance from a projectile, in this case water, you have to shoot/throw at a 45 degree angle.
The double barrel water gun was shot at a larger angle (to the horizontal), thus closer to 45 degrees, than the others.
I realize the unimportance of this.. but still. - EntangledPhysx, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3They need one that runs off a car battery... that would take out any hand cranked ones!
- CarlosReyes, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Tarantula... There is no Mobster XL. Buried as Inaccurate
- barnis, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1where's the "You're In" Trouble [tm] ?
Best umm .... Gun Ever - WoollyMittens, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3What was keeping you from just hosing people down? What was the function of the supersoaker at the end of the hose?
- chubbybubba, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1When I was a kid the water guns certainly werent as powerful as they are today.... but nonetheless the most powerful gun back then and even today is a well placed thumb and a garden hose!
- pinkcat, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Us cats don't like water!
too complicated I'd break it in a second. - comrademikhail, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Oh hells yes! I have one out in my shed. I loved that thing... I wonder if it still works.
- undersky, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1show me the source of this. isn't there drag at 35 too?
- Rell812, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I remember I had the absolute raddest super soaker ever when I was a kid. It used a thing you had to hook onto the end of your hose to fill, which took up a valuable reloading bay, but it used the pressure to make it so you didn't have to pump. And this thing looked like a three foot long cylinder. When I actually used it I had to carry it with the elongated back over my shoulder.
- nickdngr, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1damnit, i'm in the middle of a massive assassin game...this thread would have come in so handy a week ago when we started. (the isoaker for drive bys...oh hell yeah).
- dj_sea2005, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I had this gun! Whenever a water fight broke out and i came out wielding this thing, everyone would run back inside.
- Disjunto, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1why did i never think of that, got some work to do
- rspeed, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Is Chad Lorenz wearing a Daring Fireball shirt?
- orientis, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1The wettening! The wettening...
