hahahaha - brainovermind, on 04/17/2009, -1/+14Though I don't respect his behaviour outside the ring, I still believe he was the most ferocious fighter of all time. I even think the ear biting was great. If you watch that fight you can see some extremely dirty moves by Holyfield such as trying to break Tyson's elbow, repeated headbutts and rubs on a cut, foot stomping, you name it. On top of that, Holyfield bit the hell out of a fighter years earlier, taking a chunk out of a shoulder, so what goes around comes around. Had Tyson not been "properly" medicated, he most likely would have stood atop the corrupt boxing world much longer.

I'm sure the fact that Mike Tyson had tons of money (she later sued him in civil court), and she had CRIED RAPE IN THE PAST had nothing to do with her "rape."
Oh yeah, on appeal the dissenting judge noted that finding Tyson guilty "leads me to the inescapable decision that Tyson did not receive the requisite fairness that is essential to our system of criminal justice."
To this day, Tyson vehemently denies the "rape" ever occurred. Say what you will about the man, he has been honest about everything, though crazy. He has nothing to gain now by continuing to lie about the "rape." Everyone already hates him.

- compgeek, on 04/18/2009, -1/+4As much as Tyson is an absolute monster in the ring there are a few videos that show his humanity. look at the fight against Tillman. He actually ran over to check if Tillman was ok after the knockout I'll bet he wasn't even sure if the guy was alive after that shot. He also helped up Clifford Etienne after the knockout as well. I'd say if anything that shows ok I beat you but you're still a worthy opponent I look at it as almost a sign of respect between the 2 fighters. I've seen it happen a couple times in UFC as well usually happens when the 2 guys are friends outside the cage/ring.

I think the reason Stallone put him in Rocky Balboa was the fact that Tyson's handlers followed the Rocky 3 strategy of making your boxer appear better than he actually is by ducking every single worthy opponent.

I know he's very honest. Check this out. A couple of years ago, in an interview, Tyson said now he would REALLY rape that girl and he hates her guts for what she did to him.
Should he have said that? Of course not, but that statement sounds like something a crazy innocent guy would say. I feel like no one wants to listen to him, and everyone brushes him off as "that crazy rapist." Kinda sucks for him, and if the Internet is any gauge, plenty of people still do hate him.
