the suede is 10X better than leather...Doesn't crack, resists wear, and doesn't get scuffed as easily

- algaeturd, on 10/16/2008, -4/+16Nike needs to lay off of the suede and patent leather materials in their dunks. They should stick with the all leather, classic initial Jordan shoe. The plastic stuff just falls apart when you skate and the suede isn't much better.

If they aren't stopping you from catching surf then don't worry about it because all they are doing is bringing more people into the sport, which is good in the long run.

The only reason I say it will help is because the more people that do it, the more accepted by society it will be. Where I am from if you are a surfer or skater you are a frowned upon and I just think if more people did it then it would change their view haha. I definitely hate crowded swell.

- Satualanus69, on 10/16/2008, -0/+1skateboarding and surfing will always be associated with the bad and slackers dude. my girlfriend is a 2nd grade school teacher and a conversation came up with her and here fellow co workers about me and me skating to work every morning and every body assumed that one i didnt have a real job and two that i didnt have a drivers license so all my girlfriend got was looks like she was supporting a 30 yr old loser what ever, i make better money than them drawing houses and i have an education. screw bringing more people in, all it does is bring problems and crowds ive been pushed out of 2 of my spots because of people. I totally support local shops like mad and shapers as well i just think Nike needs to quit trying to corner the market on everything. its kind of busted that Sector nine is Billabong now its kind of lame that means everything board wise might stay basic they will put a standard on deck design so they can save money and mass produce. look at WRV when tommy more shaped for them they had tons of innovative shortboard shapes even prototypes like mad now since there corporate the shaping is basic designs nothing different nothing innovative no experimenting just a board and thats it. i guess thats why tommy moore moved to LOST.

I usually tell them "Sorry, we only carry skate shoes" to piss them off.
