Can someone do this, or has anyone seen this in real life? - spidoman, on 01/21/2009, -0/+16How many of us though: Ummm isn't all slalom horizontal?.....OOHHHHHHHHHH cool looking.
- BedPost, on 01/21/2009, -0/+15Can I buy weed from you?
- Psygnosis, on 01/21/2009, -0/+15I fall down every time I turn too :(

- inactive, on 01/21/2009, -1/+15I think he is speaking lolcats. And yes somebody canz to this furreal
- CIAVT, on 01/21/2009, -1/+13They still make alpine boards? I thought the whole industry had gone freestyle. Brings back memories of Jean Nerva and Peter Bauer from old Burton videos in the early 90's.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0IWh3Gp4rw - ChromaVita, on 01/21/2009, -0/+11At first I thought they were just going to slalom on a flat surface. This is much more amazing.
- joebus, on 01/21/2009, -0/+11of GENIUS!
- superterrorizer, on 01/21/2009, -0/+9Snowboard Horizontal Slalom? That sounds like the title of a very complicated sexual encounter.
- whiteboyrob, on 01/21/2009, -0/+9for those who havent done it, it feels awesome....you pull a couple g's at the peak of your turn and you really feel like you are just floating
i love to do it in my telemark setup. drop a deep knee a lay waaaay into the turn - Fishnchipsman, on 01/21/2009, -0/+8Snowboarding is so much fun.
- Ninjapope, on 01/21/2009, -1/+9Just like how walking is just catching yourself while you fall repeatedly.
- googooly, on 01/21/2009, -1/+8Amazing snowboarders with awsome songs
- splinter09, on 01/20/2009, -1/+8Insane!

- Seaseme, on 01/21/2009, -0/+5you're not funny.
- Primatelord, on 01/21/2009, -1/+7As a snowboarder, seeing the angles on their bindings makes my ankles hurt.
- SolituSneiku, on 01/21/2009, -1/+7Holy Santa Claus *****! actually I did that on accident once and ended up tumbling about 50 yards down, but someone said it was bad ass and this guy obviously has it pat down
- surfinusa555, on 01/21/2009, -0/+5Yeah, I've been riding for about 10 years and I can. I need to use my buddies' alpine board for it though, or my toes hit and I eat crap. It's really hard to get as extreme as that first guy. Doing it like the second rider in the video is more realistic.
- smartsalman, on 01/21/2009, -0/+5two words:
I Wish. - HappyScrappy, on 01/21/2009, -0/+5And that's what an alpine setup is good for.
- jeremec, on 01/21/2009, -1/+6I wish I could dig this comment twice!
- inactive, on 01/21/2009, -3/+8Hahaha What the *****!
"Is somebody can do this or saw in real?"
Translation? - doublefelix, on 01/21/2009, -0/+4I guess if you can board like that you can probably afford a new pair of snowboard pants every trip.
- mrbambastik, on 01/21/2009, -0/+4Gotta love the French Alps
- themastersb, on 01/21/2009, -0/+4wat
- danhauk, on 01/21/2009, -0/+4...down pat?
- locnguyen, on 01/21/2009, -0/+4Yea it's for real dude. I'm not this good on my alpine board but I can pull off a laid out carve on a good day. Check it out here: http://www.bomberonline.com/articles/craving_the_c ...
- MHunt, on 01/21/2009, -0/+3Good video. Terrible title on Digg.
- emptyo, on 01/21/2009, -0/+3totally sick. beautiful turns, and that corduroy was orgasmic.
I live for that stuff, though I've never ridden on a hardboot setup like that. But fresh cord is equally as amazing as fresh pow...IF you know how to turn. (Most don't. They'll huck a 900, but can't turn heelside to save their life) - inactive, on 01/21/2009, -2/+5Awesome, that requires a lot of contact points I'll bet. Maybe someone with magna-traction should try to pull this off.
- tomato1324, on 01/21/2009, -0/+3no they couldnt.
- adamc7, on 01/21/2009, -0/+3Way cool...He's got SKILLZ!
- tnerb067, on 01/21/2009, -0/+3This makes me wish I wasn't stuck in the midwest right now. I wanna go snowboarding NOW!
- piznut, on 01/21/2009, -0/+3I've done this a couple times...accidentally...carving a HUGE turn with your board almost perpendicular like that feels amazing just from the g-force...I just dont trust my board or myself enough to do it intentionally.
Maybe if I went up more than 10 times a year :| - emptyo, on 01/21/2009, -0/+3
"Those flats are there to bomb" shows that you are indeed, "that" guy.
You have no idea about the soul of snowboarding...or where it came from. You use those "flats" to get from lift to park. You're SO missing the cool part. - piznut, on 01/21/2009, -0/+3Ok, so you like to get to the bottom of the mountain as fast as possible...bfd. Some people actually enjoy being up there and experiencing the nuances. Let me guess, you think sex shouldnt last more than 2 minutes either?
- locnguyen, on 01/21/2009, -0/+2Awesome, alpine snowboarding is getting exposure here. I ride on hardboots too and it's fantastic. If anyone wants to learn more about it here: http://www.bomberonline.com/articles/craving_the_c ...
- Brandonandon, on 01/21/2009, -0/+2They're more popular in Europe. I've been riding on one for 3 years now, so I just made the transition pretty recently. I love it though. Now if only they catered to us in America... Not many ski resorts have such nice, steep, and smooth slopes in America because runs like those only appeal to carvers or to speed demons.
Carving like this is very difficult. I doubt I'll ever be able to do it with such grace. Awesome. Oh, and really old too. :P - sassafras1232, on 01/21/2009, -0/+2Not that this has anything to do with the slalom at all...But yeah, very cool.
- inactive, on 01/21/2009, -0/+2Don't like 'em groomed. Back Country is beautiful, baby! Carve 100 yards to your left, 100 yards to the right! Virgin powder everywhere and only the sound of the snow against your board and the wind in your ears.
I miss it. -
