- ivanomak, on 10/05/2008, -1/+9I think I'm going to start digging every story that is hits the front page that isn't about Palin.
- psud0, on 10/05/2008, -1/+9Woow. It's probably a great feeling to know that you were the first person who watched Mount Everest from this perspective.
- Misinformant, on 10/05/2008, -0/+6Don't land on the pointy part.
- Hanny26, on 10/05/2008, -0/+4That picture is incredible.
Also a cool representation of that Kittinger jump in this Boards of Canada video.

- stubster, on 10/05/2008, -0/+4I think your right it was 3 people
- chrisaug18, on 10/05/2008, -0/+3so...does anyone else remember all the negative comments in the article they put out before they did this
- Petrushka72, on 10/05/2008, -0/+3Yes, that is correct. A Canadian, a Brit, and a New Zealander, according to other sources.
- Shiftgood, on 10/05/2008, -0/+3I thought i saw some French/Canadian guy trying to repeat that jump this summer... anyone know what happened with that?
- Tcasey0478, on 10/05/2008, -0/+3I remember seeing a Man Vs. Wild with Bear Grills flying over Everest with some kind of contraption, this would be more amazing though. Good job!
- hnazareth16, on 10/05/2008, -1/+4Not sure what's more amazing -- the feat itself or the photograph of him doing it. Whoa!
- Ibox, on 10/05/2008, -0/+3Video or didn't happen?
- protodon, on 10/05/2008, -0/+3I remember seeing Bear Grills dying and I was happy. Oh wait ,that was only in my dreams....
- WalterSobchak88, on 10/05/2008, -0/+3that would be one hell of a view.
- AltruiSisu, on 01/13/2009, -0/+3that is the single most amazing thing i have ever seen any one person do, especially given the time in which he did it. i'm not sure what could possibly top that.
thank you for sharing that link. - smilgy, on 10/05/2008, -0/+3He looks like Rick Astley.
- root1657, on 10/05/2008, -0/+2Dont you know, it doesnt matter on digg. Also, watch for this to be submitted as new by someone in a couple of days.
- 12916studios, on 10/05/2008, -1/+3Human Achievement can be brilliant sometimes.

- stubster, on 10/05/2008, -0/+2£13,500 You could buy a small car for that, it must be really dangerous
- Garmonbozzia, on 10/05/2008, -0/+2This makes all my jumps from 15,000 feet seem so boring and normal. Too bad I don't have the cash.
- kingUssop, on 10/05/2008, -0/+2Meh. Firstly I doubt this is the first as people are paying a tourism company to make the jump. Secondly I'm kind of tired of hearing about what these rich dopes do over Everest or go into a space, or whatever. They're not accomplishing anything, they're using money to get others to give them a safe "adventure." I won't deny it's probably cool and fun, and worth it for them, but it bugs me to see them compare themselves to people who have invented the safeguards and practices they're using to do this, like they're just as adventurous and noteworthy.
- inactive, on 10/05/2008, -0/+2Was he the first, or was he "one of the first"?
- Petrushka72, on 10/05/2008, -0/+2Whoops, error. Not an Aussie, a Canadian.
- ks136, on 10/05/2008, -0/+2I thought the article said two women and one man made this first jump; did I misunderstand? (Seriously, I'm asking.)
- cynicalcheeto, on 10/05/2008, -0/+2Baller.
- Petrushka72, on 10/05/2008, -0/+2One of the first. Two other people jumped at the same time, an Australian and a New Zealander. Not that a UK newspaper would report that ...
- ks136, on 10/05/2008, -0/+2Thanks! I thought I'd read it wrong. :)
- floort, on 10/05/2008, -0/+2Video or it didn't happen. :)
- newby1961, on 10/05/2008, -0/+1Hope he was wearing clean underwear?
- connollynow, on 10/05/2008, -0/+1Great story
- NoJump, on 10/08/2008, -0/+0This was not a jump over the mountain. They may have jumped from an airplane and they may have jumped above the mountain but they did not jump over the mountain.
To jump over something means "the act of propelling oneself upwards, using one's own power, into the air, and then returning back to the same surface". No one could actually jump something like a mountain. The most one can do is the high jump like in the Olympics. - inactive, on 10/05/2008, -2/+1Who gives a *****? I mean c'mon!!
- Appity, on 10/05/2008, -6/+1That was a year and a half ago.
