- mysn239, on 12/26/2008, -1/+48Tony Hawk 2 was the best one!
- Darkangel754, on 12/26/2008, -1/+46There's no denying that Tony's a pretty cool guy, even if you don't really like skateboarding :)
- tgc1, on 12/26/2008, -0/+34"2043: Tony Hawk celebrates his 75th birthday by pulling off a spectacular vintage McTwist, in what many call a change of the times for the elderly... Mr. Hawk was quoted as saying -- stay off my Vert Pipe you damn kids!"
- IpwnZnoobs, on 12/26/2008, -1/+35He still smokes weed at 40?
- AJRiddle, on 12/26/2008, -3/+32Is it really that safe to be high while skateboarding, especially when you are older and don't heal as quickly?
- billraydrums, on 12/26/2008, -0/+29I'm 40 and ride a longboard around my neighborhood. Bought the board so I can follow my kid around as he skates...It's kinda liberating and I have lost 25 lbs so far. Plus my sense of balance has gotten stronger as well.
I did manage to bust my ass pretty bad- kept me off the board for a month- pulled something in my gluteus muscle. Ouch! - alapoet, on 12/26/2008, -2/+29I wonder how long he can keep going with the boarding?
- stickstickly, on 12/26/2008, -1/+19His personality makes him a fun guy to watch and im sure to be around. He always seems to be having a blast. Gotta love his electricity!
- lololdl, on 12/26/2008, -0/+17Come on man he has like 4 kids.
Of course he still smokes weed. - xXdredgXx, on 12/26/2008, -0/+15yeah well Tony Hawk 900 spin is turning 10 on July 27th 09
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4QGnppJ-ys - GamingForever, on 12/26/2008, -2/+15I thought he was younger than 40...
- funwithphobias, on 12/26/2008, -3/+15Did it hurt when you took poops?
- nimnam, on 12/26/2008, -0/+12Rodney Mullen is 42 and I think he's still skating, and he was in Almost Round 3 not too long ago - which is very impressive.
- BeShirtHappy, on 12/26/2008, -1/+1340 is the new 20; so for awhile. :)
- billraydrums, on 12/26/2008, -1/+12I can't poop any longer. Is that something I need to be concerned with? :D
- PhillyOC, on 12/26/2008, -1/+11God bless Tony Hawk. He is a true American icon.
- TheTaoOfBill, on 12/26/2008, -0/+10From the sounds of it Skate must be a real threat to Tony Hawk.
"We're working on a new type of game, and I've been even more involved in this one than I have been in the last five games. It's a real departure for us. It's a whole new direction for us. And it's going to be way more realistic and way more interactive. I'm really proud of it. I can't tell you much more about it, except that it will come out in the fall of 2009."
After almost no inovation in the past 5 games they are just NOW thinking it's time for a departure? Nothing like a little competition to spice things up. I really hope Tony Hawk gets back on it's feet. For old times sake. But in the mean time I'm sticking with skate.
The only thing is I really wish skate would figure out how to do split screen multi player. No one seems to be making split screen anymore... - andrewlotta, on 12/26/2008, -1/+10WHY THE ***** DO PEOPLE ALWAYS ASK THIS GOD DAMN QUESTION??
- Jonnybin123, on 12/26/2008, -3/+12"pulling tricks on his board"
...really? - Krinkov, on 12/26/2008, -0/+9damn I remember my first skate board was a Tony Hawk from 25 years ago, and he'd already been skating pro for a couple years before then!
simply amazing. - Tubilakken, on 12/26/2008, -2/+10it' okay we have EA skate now
- superm1ke, on 12/26/2008, -4/+12His games have gone down lately :(
- doshindude, on 12/26/2008, -1/+9I beg to differ, I liked Tony Hawk 3 the best. THPS 4 was the epitome of fail and the death of the series.
- aserer511, on 12/26/2008, -0/+7double entendres: this title has a huge one
- inactive, on 12/26/2008, -0/+7Thats what I was thinkn' he's OG
- Harbinger67, on 12/26/2008, -1/+8Diggers still wasting comment space by bitching about the same things!
- zenthax, on 12/26/2008, -0/+6me thinks hes OGC
- TheCheeks, on 12/26/2008, -2/+8No more from Tony please.
- wejmahtin, on 12/26/2008, -2/+7 happy birthday old man. A real inspiration for this 34 year old skater.
- Nubli, on 12/26/2008, -0/+4I ride high all the time. Keeps the pain in check when I land on my nuts.
- VegasAlive, on 12/26/2008, -1/+6Skate is better.
- crushfan, on 12/26/2008, -0/+4- Daddy, why are you crying poop?
- iammzac, on 12/26/2008, -3/+7Keep blazin' Tony!!
- houndeyex, on 12/26/2008, -2/+6Until he blows a knee.
- mcgridds, on 12/26/2008, -0/+4a couple weeks back a saw tony hawk and all i got to say is in person he looks lot older than 40. he hasn't aged that gracefully.
- Barackalypse, on 12/26/2008, -0/+4Absolutely, I didn't mean to sound like I was ragging on him, he's a hell of an athletic talent and really managed himself well, he moves more than $400 million a year in branded stuff, you have to respect that.
- TheTaoOfBill, on 12/26/2008, -0/+4I agree 3 was definitely the peak. 4 and underground felt awesome when they came out but looking back it was simply the beginning of the super easy combos. And after Underground it was all pretty much a disaster.
- jetcombo15, on 12/26/2008, -1/+5[insert joke about skateboarding while intoxicated]
- vdubski, on 12/26/2008, -0/+4I see what you did there...
- PhillyOC, on 12/26/2008, -0/+4Wow you are so jealous even your text is beginning to turn green. I think that old guys who still sport the Semper Fi tag long after they have left the Marines have some growing up to do as well, Mr. SemperFi58.
Are you bothered that Tony Hawk can still make millions of dollars a year after retiring while you can't get somebody to buy you a drink at the local VFW?
Loser. - jetcombo15, on 12/26/2008, -1/+4I hope I'll still be smoking weed when I'm 40 as well.
- ThunderKitty, on 12/26/2008, -0/+3I wish i was tony hawk ..... :(
- foofightrs777, on 12/26/2008, -0/+3So true. Now, I want to go down stairs and boot up the old Dreamcast.
- ebrgt62, on 12/26/2008, -0/+3All right Tony! Way to represent!
- rynsa, on 12/26/2008, -2/+5You gleam that cube, Tony.
- sunnycuts, on 12/26/2008, -1/+4it peaked at 2 imo especially on the dreamcast
- empiricalKing, on 12/26/2008, -0/+3He brought skateboarding mainstream, and I hope to keep seeing him for many years.
- inactive, on 12/26/2008, -0/+2I tried riding high once. I wouldn't recommend it.
- DarthShaun, on 12/26/2008, -0/+2God bless you, Birdman.
