- makkaveli19, on 04/21/2009, -0/+25i loved it when people came to check if he's okay when he jumped down the huge flight of stairs.
This guy is bad ass. - jerstud56, on 04/20/2009, -0/+20Watch the whole thing...it just gets better. (3:10 for sure)

- tyeddingston, on 04/21/2009, -0/+9Trials riding is amazing.
- lamejoketeller, on 04/21/2009, -0/+9dugg for band of horses
- ci5ic, on 04/21/2009, -0/+9dugg for crazy ***** that I'd never have the balls to do.
- freddiefenster, on 04/22/2009, -0/+8I think this submission highlights one of the problems with Digg. Just because it wasn't submitted by a power user it only has 787 diggs (as of 22/4/09 11:42am PDT). Yet on youtube it has 812,225 views and is on the front page of the BBC website, so it's popularity on Digg is not reflective on what's popular on the Internets at the moment. The most popular video in the last 24 hours on Digg is the firing of an anti-tank weapon, submitted by a power user. I know which video I find more impressive.
- driftwood07, on 04/21/2009, -0/+8a backflip off of a tree (3:10) , you gotta be ***** me
- mark925, on 04/21/2009, -0/+8I wonder how many bones he broke figuring out he could do all that.
- jasonboyee, on 04/20/2009, -1/+8Early on in the video, he sets you up by falling off the metal fence. Then when he rode across, all I can think of is a human kabob, skewed with guts hanging. But no, he did it and went on to doing some CRAZY dope tricks. I can't help but wonder whether there're wires involved -- of course not. A MUST watch video. Mad Kudos!
- Schmich, on 04/20/2009, -0/+6Very impressive. Although the bicycle...perfect to injure your tibia and your privates >_< I don't have the balls to lose my balls.
- UK31337, on 04/21/2009, -0/+6Dugg for Edinburgh (my home town) :D
It's even more epic that he does something in a city like this, which is full of weird and old architecture and nothing matches properly. Amazing stuff! - hinesh, on 04/20/2009, -4/+9I like the bit where he is on the bike
- mechatak, on 04/21/2009, -0/+4How is this even possible!
- startle3iv, on 04/21/2009, -0/+4Damn this kid is sick! Street art in its own right.
- CeruleanRed, on 04/21/2009, -0/+3Awesome.
Videos like this leave me simultaneously amazed - and yet - somehow unsatisfied with my life. - RealmDown, on 04/21/2009, -0/+3The Yuma'n condition
- tburrows, on 04/21/2009, -0/+3description from the Metro this morning linking to the same video...
A breathtaking video of cyclist Danny MacAskill taking on the streets, walls, rooftops and railings of Edinburgh. It's basically parkour on a bicycle, and it's incredibly impressive. Edinburgh is the sort of higgledy-piggledy city that practically begs you to jump and climb all over it, but doing it on two wheels makes it look even more fun. - firewrx612, on 04/21/2009, -0/+3It's an Inspired, I think a Fourplay. Which is a 24" trials bike.
- killrrabit, on 04/21/2009, -1/+4Please see a therapist. You do not appear to be dealing with this properly.
- kronzdigg, on 04/21/2009, -1/+4Wow that guy rides as good as I digg.
- eanbowman, on 04/21/2009, -0/+3Yeah I was watching it just now and yelled out "OH YEAH!"
That video got my adrenaline up. I want to buy a new bike now. XD
My hopes of ever riding like him are probably nil but at least I can have fun pretending. LOL - jazzfunkblues, on 04/21/2009, -0/+2seems that Edinburgh is a trickster's dream with all of that crazy architecture. I've seen numerous awesome vids of parkour, skateboarding, and now this. Lucky folks over there.
- tyeddingston, on 04/21/2009, -0/+2***** you.
- devnullDood, on 04/21/2009, -0/+2I dont usually swear in these comments, but that was un-***** believable!
- Vivifyer, on 04/21/2009, -0/+2No one cares about your personal preference, appreciate what it is without prejudice, and that it is nothing short of an amazing display of skills.
- velopilot, on 04/21/2009, -1/+3Higher quality video here: http://s226121068.websitehome.co.uk/movies/inspire ...
- inactive, on 04/21/2009, -0/+2That was awesome.. there are some pretty awesome youtube clips of people doing some pretty crazy forest tracks on mountain bikes.. a semi friend who was a pretty damn good mountain biker hung himself on his 21st birthday earlier this year too.. so RIP Ed..
- cluckcluck, on 04/21/2009, -0/+2Yay for having some bicycle (specifically trials) action on digg.
I can't even imagine how much patience and dedication it takes to get that good. - thinairbikes, on 04/21/2009, -0/+2It's a different rider by the looks of it.
- inactive, on 04/22/2009, -0/+2Erm.. it just reminded me of him, so I mentioned it, didn't really think anything of it.. meh..
- Stretchsportguy, on 04/22/2009, -0/+1Danny, why do you make it look so easy???
- Nzyne, on 04/22/2009, -0/+1Wears a lid and buts the pole back on after he knocks it off - nice guy and a role model
- FearTec, on 04/23/2009, -0/+1yep, Digg needs a "clicked" counter.
- Ridesabike, on 04/21/2009, -1/+2I like the part where he's on the railing on the bike.
- inactive, on 04/22/2009, -0/+1Gah, why must digg have an add comment box for all comments when viewing particular threads..
- MargotCross, on 05/08/2009, -0/+1not something i would typically watch and i was blown away. i kind of want to watch it again.
- QcRoman, on 04/25/2009, -0/+1As if the law of gravity wasn't applicable to that guy ! Amazing !
- freddiefenster, on 05/15/2009, -0/+1I did as you suggest and the video is still amazing. Those riding skills don't require any smoke-and-mirrors.
- kwilms, on 05/01/2009, -0/+1hehe, always apply the The BSNYC/RTMS Fixed-Gear Video Test to these types of videos:
"The makers of these videos rely on the same effect--you'll notice these videos are always accompanied by aggressive music. This makes the riding seem outsized. However, the riding is generally a lot tamer than the music, and once you're aware of the smoke-and-mirrors effect a soundtrack can have often the effect is dispelled and you realize the only thing outsized are the egos. To that end, I've developed a litmus test that you can apply to any video in order to determine whether you're watching cutting-edge riding or just some guys parading the latest streetwear"
Step 1: Open the video to be tested in a new browser window. (In this case the "Inspired Bicycles - Danny MacAskill April 2009" video.)
Step 2: Pause the video and turn the volume on the video player all the way down.
Step 3: Open a second browser window and go here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=saalGKY7ifU -- Turn the volume on the player all the way up, play the video, and minimize the window.
Step 4: Return to the first window containing your test video, click play, and watch it with the new soundtrack.

- themastersb, on 04/21/2009, -0/+1Well he didn't look Asian at least..
- cyrix, on 04/21/2009, -0/+1I'd suspect MTBR, Pinkbike, and all those other sites had more to do with it than digg. The video circulated around both sites kind of heavily, especially in the DH/FR forum on mtbr.
- Naturalfix023, on 10/04/2009, -0/+1awesome post

What is Digg?
