    This is the most direct way up to the steam train in Tilden park from south Berkeley... it's a real slog uphill, but a blast coming back down! 40-45 mph on a bike is totally doable after that hairpin (where you see them running off the right shoulder).

    I remember skating as a kid and going down a normal ass hill and hitting a little stone and going flying, can't even imagine how sketchy it must be doing what they're doing. Bigger wheels and a more stable board obviously make a big difference but man.. every time I saw them blow past a manhole cover I winced.

    I also do a lot of downhill speedboarding, and the toughest thing most people encounter is realizing that they're safer (in ways) when travelling at speed. sidewalk cracks ain't got nothing on ya when you're going 50. :)
