No other fighter in all MMA has any where near the list of accomplishments. - inactive, on 07/11/2009, -9/+73Fedor doesn't read books. He stares them down until he gets the information he wants.
- m3arvk, on 07/11/2009, -6/+52***** Dana White.
- zmanvii, on 07/11/2009, -2/+29Fedor once visit the Virgin Islands. They are now known as "The Islands."
- SDeluxe, on 07/11/2009, -2/+28He would DESTROY Brock Lesnar, by armbar in the first round, guaranteed.
- Kickinuarou, on 07/11/2009, -1/+25The Greatest MMA Fighter of all time, pound for pound as well. He has never lost a fight in his career(his only recorded loss was an illegal elbow that cut him and since he wouldn't stop bleeding, and it was in tournament format, the opponent moved on and Fedor did not). He fought a primed Nog and beat him, TWICE. He's beaten former UFC HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONS Randlemen, Arlovski, Coleman, Sylvia, and he beat Cro Cop.
- vivisimonvi, on 07/10/2009, -3/+26@1:49 the footage is sped up to make Fedor look more quick and effective (you can tell by looking at the clock). Other than that, good highlight of Fedor.
- Neoanarchist, on 07/11/2009, -1/+23I could take 'im.
- homebrews311, on 07/11/2009, -0/+22Fedor's stoic, reserved, and humble attitude makes him likable, but his fighting style makes him legendary.

This video made me a believer. - neandertal, on 07/11/2009, -0/+21Fedor is justified in not signing with the UFC.If he signed, he would sign away his name and image rights in perpetuity (yeah, even if his contract ended the UFC would be able to use his name and image). If he continued winning, his contract would extend indefinitely. If he lost, the UFC could cut him after one fight. If Dana White was petty(like he has been with Tito,Arlovski, and many others), he could "freeze him out".In other words, not cut him but not give him fights for long stretches.Additionally, Fedor would not be allowed to compete in Combat Sambo. Not worth it for him.
The UFC has really shown itself to not care about the sport at all or the interest of fighters. In the past, they've banned sponsors (you know, the ones that make ends meet for most fighters). Now, they are charging $100k to potential sponsors.
Also, they have told managers that if any of their fighters appear in the EA MMA game, those fighters will be banned from ever fighting in the UFC. - killerdavy, on 07/11/2009, -1/+22That's the point though. In a sport where the tiniest screw up can leave you knocked out or severely injured Fedor is a man who does not screw up. Fedor's ability at MMA surpasses by far any other current athlete in the world because of this. Tiger Woods missed a putt? One less cheque/trophy. If any MMA athlete misses a block, chances are they will end up on the floor. Fedor doesn't miss.
- ZzFDKzZ, on 07/11/2009, -1/+18It wasn't sped up. Fedor made time go faster.
- Burento, on 07/11/2009, -1/+17We don't even have to say it... Most of the best MMA fighters ever... say he is the best ever.. ;)
- Dagarik, on 07/11/2009, -0/+15Really? He has gone through almost unchallenged for his entire career, even if he loses his next fight or loses in UFC (if he signs with them), he is still the best heavyweight ever. I mean, look at who he has won against:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fedor_Emelianenko
Antônio Rodrigo (twice), Mark Coleman (twice), Cro Cop (in his prime), Randleman, Lindland, Arlovski etc.
All of those fighters and only 1 loss due to a cut. He has nothing to prove anymore, he's a legend of the sport. - Joshislong, on 07/11/2009, -1/+16Fedor once had an awkward moment. Just to see what it feels like.
- Necroholic, on 07/11/2009, -0/+14and with a lot of these he didn't just beat them, but ***** them up.
- EverybodyPanic, on 07/11/2009, -1/+14I would not be surprised if Fedor was secretly trained by the Russian Spetsnaz to be able to sustain all sorts of inhuman pains without blinking an eye.
- travcm, on 07/11/2009, -0/+12Finally someone who knows what they're talking about. So tired of people acting as if the only barrier preventing Fedor from joining the UFC is money (or worse, fear of competition).
Sorry people, Fedor isn't afraid of any UFC fighter and is a man who has honor. Money is likely not as important to him at this point and the freedom to compete in Sambo and control his own future. - drethedog, on 07/11/2009, -1/+13Fedor 2012
- joemofo214, on 07/11/2009, -1/+13He's like Ivan Drago in a world in which Rocky does not exist...
- UrbanJellyFish, on 07/10/2009, -2/+13He looks like a swell fella.
- samkityoung, on 07/11/2009, -1/+12I'll upvote you for knowledge of the sport. Rickson was a grandmaster, a kind of man that dominated everyone. People are downvoting you only due to ignorance. However, the sport has moved past the Gracies, including Rickson, because of the ability to overcome a super-dominant ground game. In a hypothetical match Fedor would probably beat Rickson (equalizing weight) because Fedor could defend the takedowns of Rickson better than anyone Rickson would have fought, while pinpointing blows to the head better than anyone Rickson would have fought. That is my opinion anyway.
- Ryawhtny4, on 07/11/2009, -1/+12Maybe… but probably not.
- jnc2134, on 07/10/2009, -7/+18The man is a monster. Will definitely go down with Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, ect...
- Burento, on 07/10/2009, -0/+11Some interviews with other fighters about Fedor - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40kDJsw8dwU
- gooch3803, on 07/11/2009, -2/+12I would put up Rickson Gracie against him, wish i could have seen that fight in both of their primes.
- hypnotichexes, on 07/11/2009, -1/+11Fedor is so amazing. For people that haven't seen him fight, he doesn't just beat the best in the world, but he beats them at their own game. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira has probably the most effective submissions that have been applied to MMA ever, and Fedor beat him by sitting in his guard and pounding the crap out of him for 20 minutes. The only reason it even went to a decision is because Minotauro is a real life Rocky and will never quit.
Then he faced the most dangerous heavyweight striker of all time, Mirko Cro Cop. He didn't just beat him, but he pushed the fight on the feet the entire time and broke Mirko's will like no one has.
Not to mention the fact that his comebacks against Fujita and Randleman are things of legend, at this stage in his career I don't see there being any real challenges for him assuming he beats Barnett. Mir wouldn't be able to last in deep waters with Fedor and the only thing Brock has going for him is his punching power.
And the scariest thing about Fedor? He could probably fight at 205 if he felt like cutting weight. - samkityoung, on 07/11/2009, -1/+11I personally have never see him and Wolverine in the same picture.
- whorunbartertwn, on 07/11/2009, -0/+8Yeah that kinda ruined it, especially when they both went down as if they were fighting on some planet with a stronger gravitational pull.
If you want to make a video to make a point then make it, don't use artificial means to exaggerate the qualities of some guy, like his punching speed. Fedor's hilights speak for themselves without that. - IgorUnchained, on 07/11/2009, -4/+12Kazushi Sakuraba was the best pound for pound fighter I have ever seen.
That said, I dont think anyone would have more than a puncher's chance against Fedor at this point in MMA history. I saw Kevin Randleman dump him on his head (with the weight of both men coming down) and Fedor still won the fight. He can be beaten, but I wont be betting against him any time soon! - pkizzle, on 07/11/2009, -1/+9Might as well call him "Vader".
Pronunciation and style are close enough...Darth Fedor - ToastedFart, on 07/11/2009, -0/+8How the ***** did his neck not break?
- Wongster41, on 07/11/2009, -3/+11Definitely the best MMA fighter in the world.
- inactive, on 07/11/2009, -2/+10Dude, you don't know what you're talking about.
- dschmink, on 07/11/2009, -0/+8Fedor doesn't wait for time, time waits on fedor
- ZzFDKzZ, on 07/11/2009, -1/+8LMAO @ Brock moving like an oaf. My money is on Fedor winning but Brock is no where near slow.
- 33PercentGod, on 07/11/2009, -0/+7Fedor = machine.
- whorunbartertwn, on 07/11/2009, -2/+9While I would definitely bet money on Fedor in a fight with Lesnar, it's silly to say Lesnar moves like an oaf. That's the main thing Lesnar has going for him is he's a freak athlete for his size who is quite agile, far from an oaf.
- Burento, on 07/11/2009, -1/+8MMA is a mixture of combat styles... I am pretty sure the art of fighting as been around long enough to be mastered.
- dangsta, on 07/11/2009, -0/+7all his punches look pretty sped up... he's a crazy fighter but he definitely doesn't punch THAT fast.
- geoff1210, on 07/11/2009, -0/+7I'm pretty sure he could beat brock lesner.
- killerdavy, on 07/11/2009, -1/+8I would not be surprised if Fedor was a military experiment from the Cold War days in creating the perfect athlete/soldier.
Also he was a hardcore firefighter in the Russian army. - ash7887, on 07/11/2009, -1/+7AppleMacStud, WARNING you should leave Apple distortion field immediately!!! If affects you perception of reality!
- inactive, on 07/11/2009, -10/+16fedor has legendary status just as mma becomes mainstream.
rickson gracie had legendary status when mma was still becoming a sport.
with a record of 400-0, I think you know who the real master is... - chadsterrr, on 07/11/2009, -1/+7Defend that statement.
- samkityoung, on 07/11/2009, -0/+6Then look at his pre-Affliction fights, if you are so disposed to disregard Affliction fights immediately.
- Kitakaze, on 07/11/2009, -0/+6Has anyone seen Fedor's artwork? He's really quite talented — and it's really nice to see a representative from a sport that is so often maligned as brutal and barbaric, and here's big bad Fedor drawing beautiful pictures for his daughter. Very cool.
Of course, with Dana White having enough chips on his shoulders to break the bank in Vegas, his planet-sized ego, and overall douchebaggery means we'll probably never see Fedor fight in the UFC. - inactive, on 07/11/2009, -0/+6Then we'll never know how much of a bad ass you are, right? Keep 'em guessing.
- lightmartyr, on 07/11/2009, -0/+5Actually in an interview regarding that fight he said something like "I train to fall long distances. I was fine".
- samkityoung, on 07/11/2009, -1/+6Sakuraba was good, but he built his style to beat the Gracies. Once the sport moved past the Gracies, he became irrelevant and couldn't keep up.
