Extreme Free Running in London watch!
raremovs.blogspot.com — Free running was meant to start out an anglicized term for Parkour. It was first suggested to Sebastien Foucan during the filming of Jump London

- HSlipwiffle, on 06/10/2008, -5/+26If the British are trying to out do the good old fashioned Silly Walk, they've got a lot more work to do.
- expert01, on 06/11/2008, -4/+1Don't mind the title, they are actually training to be ninjas in an upcoming film.
- secondwheel2, on 06/11/2008, -2/+3hmm.... those guys in the video are French. If you have seen previous parkour videos you would know that
- DMCer, on 06/11/2008, -1/+2Since when does putting the word "extreme" in front of something as dull as walking make it cool to watch, let alone fun to do?
- DirtyRoboto, on 06/11/2008, -0/+2This is the future of travel in London. Even so you will still have to pay congestion charge!
- lordewoks, on 06/10/2008, -2/+5I definitely will NOT be doing that in this weather. It makes me sweaty just watching it.
- amanoj, on 06/10/2008, -4/+80I felt like I was watching a bad Nike commercial. Apparently the editor did not understand the use of "Slow-Down" to heighten the excitement of the act. He just used the slow-down on random scenes. Did not go well together.
Dugg for the Foo-Fighters song, though!- GodAteMyBalls, on 06/11/2008, -5/+0Also dugg for the Foo's
- megagram, on 06/11/2008, -1/+11He kinda got the slow-mo technique down the first time when that guy made the sweet jump over that cement barrier-thingy. But I gotta say, the second time he used it, I rewound thinking I had missed something cool and slow-mo worthy. Nope! Completely useless slow-mo.
- Nfed163, on 06/11/2008, -1/+12i dont even think it was a slow down... just a freeze frame with a break in the music... odd
- Justice101, on 06/11/2008, -1/+6extremely
- AlekNovi, on 06/11/2008, -1/+5The funny thing is that they looked worse than random.
Just stastically speaking, were they random they were more likely to freezeframe something interesting.
But it's like he was trying to freeze-the least interesting frames in the entire clip, - iSamurai, on 06/11/2008, -1/+7the pauses made so little sense that I actually thought I was having a hardware accel. problem or something! But nope just bad editing.
- MogusMaximus, on 06/11/2008, -7/+1Foo Fighters suck
- chaos7, on 06/11/2008, -1/+2that songs sucks..and foo fighters suck in general
- amanoj, on 06/10/2008, -17/+2I felt like I was watching a bad Nike commercial. Apparently the editor did not understand the use of "Slow-Down" to heighten the excitement of the act. He just used the slow-down on random scenes. Did not go well together.
Dugg for the Foo-Fighters song, though! - beckyjoubert, on 06/10/2008, -6/+4Reminds me of the latest James Bond movie.
- gunwolf, on 06/11/2008, -1/+2http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S%C3%A9bastien_Foucan
One of the founding fathers.

- painmedic, on 06/10/2008, -7/+3Not bad James Bond who plays James Bond now?
- Soniti, on 06/11/2008, -1/+6Punctuation evaded you very well in this sentence.
- hepper2, on 06/10/2008, -2/+3too much work for my old bones!
- AEdgett77, on 06/11/2008, -4/+4Direct: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0XvxBM7hJI
- Evolutuon, on 06/11/2008, -2/+1Looks like fun.
- Wake101, on 06/11/2008, -4/+3Look, he's running aw-FREEEEEZE-ay.
- Diddles1212, on 06/11/2008, -6/+22Meh there are better videos of Free Running out there...
- razz8806, on 06/11/2008, -8/+6see, if you had actually posted an example, people would probably not be digging you down...
- expert01, on 06/11/2008, -3/+5I dugg both of you so your comment would be out of place.
- pigducksheep, on 06/11/2008, -5/+1I buried you all just because I felt like it.
- expert01, on 06/11/2008, -3/+5I dugg both of you so your comment would be out of place.
- Tossrock, on 06/11/2008, -0/+7Seriously. This is about as extreme as a bowl of bran flakes.
- razz8806, on 06/11/2008, -8/+6see, if you had actually posted an example, people would probably not be digging you down...
- TheMime, on 06/11/2008, -6/+57That sucked.
- civilizedevil, on 06/11/2008, -2/+5Yes but it was educational. For those who didn't read the video's description: Free running is just like parkour except stripped of any useful purpose and padded with lots of fruity maneuvers. In other words, free running is pointless and you look like a moron jumping over those handrails. Parkour is pretty dumb by itself, did you really need to gay it up even more with flair?
- sauronsmatrix, on 06/11/2008, -1/+1lets see you do it
- whuddafugger, on 06/11/2008, -2/+32ZZZZZzzzzZZZ....nowhere near as entertaining as the Urban Ninja...
- Stuart750, on 06/11/2008, -1/+6That's because this is England. People get their ***** & giggles from eating pickled vegetables, trimming hedges, and now the new trend, jumping over things...
- ironmodulus, on 06/11/2008, -5/+0I ran out of breath just watching it.
- ANT1138, on 06/11/2008, -2/+43weak.
- Handonam, on 06/11/2008, -1/+3can't argue with that.
- cookui, on 06/11/2008, -0/+2Yeah, that was pretty much crap. The title and then the song had me thinking it would be great but that idea flew out the door when the second slo-mo awkwardly appeared.
- Crusty, on 06/11/2008, -2/+28I kept waiting for some amazing tricks. I'm still waiting.
- kalleanka, on 06/11/2008, -2/+14Ok sorry to say it. But this was just lame. The jumps were not artistic and they were not impressive.
Sorry, no digg this time. - Enkairi, on 06/11/2008, -7/+2I have seen much better teams on Youtube. What these guys did was mediocre. Watch a group with David Belle in it, the you will know EXTREME.
Also the proper term is Parkour.- bossywalker, on 06/11/2008, -0/+10RTFA Free Running is diiferent from Parkour.
- Enkairi, on 06/11/2008, -1/+3My Mistake. But still these moves were mediocre.
- tjl695, on 06/11/2008, -1/+1how would you know if you didn't know the difference between parkour and freerunning? although i do agree with you about the mediocrity of the moves.
- bossywalker, on 06/11/2008, -0/+10RTFA Free Running is diiferent from Parkour.
- Jessejb, on 06/11/2008, -3/+8Cool... but seriously I could do any of that stuff. It wasn't THAT special.
- a23y1, on 06/11/2008, -0/+2Not with that hat you can't
- bugmenot47, on 06/11/2008, -1/+7Blogspam
- Marvnation, on 06/11/2008, -2/+10Where was the Extreme?.. all i saw was the Lame
- ginestony, on 06/11/2008, -1/+26what's with the weird freeze-frames?
- aflaks, on 06/11/2008, -3/+3I know its off topic and i'll get dugg down but i dont care. I miss living in london. Best. City. Ever. Dorset Square for life.
- Norris667, on 06/11/2008, -2/+6France does it better.
- dullnation, on 06/11/2008, -2/+4I'm le tired.
- AlmostClever, on 06/11/2008, -1/+2Then have a nap.
- Soniti, on 06/11/2008, -1/+4ZEN FIRE ZE MISSILES
- AlmostClever, on 06/11/2008, -1/+2Then have a nap.
- Anliz, on 06/11/2008, -0/+1 Je suis fatigué
- dullnation, on 06/11/2008, -2/+4I'm le tired.
- MonumentMan, on 06/11/2008, -1/+6buried for being lame. with all the amazing videos out there, this one barely raises an eyebrow
also, wasn't that an ad? - archivist, on 06/11/2008, -0/+15thats not extreme.
- eladriano, on 06/11/2008, -0/+7This video is much better
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D2kJZOfq7zk- mKdiR, on 06/11/2008, -0/+1Holy *****, that guy has skill!
- wickidvip, on 06/11/2008, -0/+1nice vid, had to digg that one. heres another to add to that
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVwWA0cH25M
- noahgelman, on 06/11/2008, -1/+14super weak, buried
- droogieboy, on 06/11/2008, -3/+1Four Jackie Chan imitators.
- chhenderson, on 06/11/2008, -0/+6Ive seen episodes of Extreme Home Makeover that were more extreme than that.
...not that I actually watch Extreme Home Makeover... - LavaWarrior, on 06/11/2008, -0/+1I don't know what the point of that, it wasn't parkour, cause they sure weren't fast, but it also really wasn't Free running, cause they weren't doing flips. If you ask me, what they were doing was kinda pointless.
- timisondigglol, on 06/11/2008, -0/+2This is pretty lame ***** for urban free flow. These guys are really skilled and this video does a bad job showing that.
- moriarty23, on 06/11/2008, -1/+3Whenever I watch this stuff I always wonder if any of these guys cause ***** with the police just to see if they can out run a radio.
- FUR10N, on 06/11/2008, -1/+2they look like scam artists running from the police
- buddypriefert, on 06/11/2008, -1/+1Yawwwwnnnnnn. Urban Ninja did it mucho better.
- corneliousjd, on 06/11/2008, -1/+1One word...
EDITED. - KDAY12, on 06/11/2008, -0/+5Pretty unimpressive...
- AmericanGunner, on 06/11/2008, -1/+1agreed even though im sure plenty people want to reply to you with "I BET U CANT DO IT CAUSE U FAT LO L"
least thats what id think theyd say.
- AmericanGunner, on 06/11/2008, -1/+1agreed even though im sure plenty people want to reply to you with "I BET U CANT DO IT CAUSE U FAT LO L"
- Brooks, on 06/11/2008, -1/+16http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0yGBQmSjYQ
watch this in high quality. Tyson Cecka, famous "traceur", filmed with a high-speed "RED ONE" camera. plus music = looks amazing- vanguardanon, on 06/11/2008, -0/+2No kidding. My hat's off to the artists involved but I'm equally excited that youtube has higher quality videos now.
- AlmostClever, on 06/11/2008, -4/+0Hmmm....that wasn't any better.
- fenix61, on 06/11/2008, -0/+1wow
Looked better than High def - diemunkiesdie, on 06/11/2008, -3/+1That was almost good. The dumb ass who made it kept freezing the frame every 5 seconds and it made the video choppy instead of smooth. The slow motion capabilities of the high speed camera were amazing, but with the freeze frames I couldn't even make it through the whole video. It was almost like the video was buffering and froze for a second like I was on a dial up connection (which I am definitely not on).
- Maver1c, on 06/11/2008, -0/+2just so you know why you are being dugg down, the video isn't freezing periodically for anyone else. in fact that was some pretty smooth editing for a rough cut.
- runneroffaith, on 06/11/2008, -0/+1Yup a great video.
His other one is great too.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cX8O1bdUhOo - Shadic, on 06/11/2008, -0/+1Holy *****, that guy is from Portland! That's my school he's running around in, and I've always thought that area towards the end would work well for parkour stuff.
- fwoofles, on 06/11/2008, -2/+1Dug for the Foos
- AmericanGunner, on 06/11/2008, -1/+2dug for use of the word parkour
- erectilian, on 06/11/2008, -1/+2I cant believe I just wasted part of my life watching that. Absolutely horrible. bad editing. foo fighters should be shot for an amazing ability for being generic, and these guys are jump on and off fences. Seriously? this made it to the top page? not at all impressive. Buried.
- ace144, on 06/11/2008, -0/+2so leave it to the english to gay up something badass that the french invented? well now i've seen everything.
- SamyIsMyHero, on 06/11/2008, -6/+1I really hate this whole "free running" "parkour" thing! Give me a break! It's so f-ing silly and a complete waste of the internet's bandwidth. There is no skill involved in this crap! I'm not surprised this made it to the front page considering that the digg populace is probably on average an out of shape college student who would rather be on digg than get in shape. Get off the f-ing computer and do something with your ugly asses. Maybe then you would realize that this video and many others is nothing more than an average guy jumping and then running. It's stupid!
- bpollay, on 06/11/2008, -0/+1Actually parkour is very difficult to practice. It takes years to achieve the fluidity and grace the experts have. It's certainly more then "jumping and running."
- wickidvip, on 06/11/2008, -0/+1if you hate it why are you even watching it?
- Torsion, on 06/11/2008, -4/+13 doors down is better
- ace4261991, on 06/11/2008, -0/+1imagine chasing one of these guys...
- MaxPlague, on 06/11/2008, -1/+1You'd think a luggage/sporty-cool-briefcase/backpack-for-EXTREME-office-employees commercial would have better editing and a more compelling campaign premise. I'll give ya points for the Foo Fighters though, good choice there. But seriously, thebridge-wayfarer.it - if you're reading this (which no doubt you are) - you need to have a talk with your ad agency. I think they fell a bit short.
Digg up for truth, digg down if you disagree. :-) - damntourists, on 06/11/2008, -0/+1am i the only one not impressed by this at all? they're just jumping around and tumbling. there are videos showcasing street running/acrobatics so much more impressive than this. http://youtube.com/watch?v=23f1vWLEpGY this guy is 10 times better than all of them combined.
- xtraspecialj, on 06/11/2008, -5/+0Are you guys really that stupid. It's fake, that's the point. It's all satire. MaxPlague has it right. The video does suck as an ad, but it is definitely not meant to be taken seriously.
- mfdoomm, on 06/11/2008, -0/+1how the hell did that get dugg?
- transmothra, on 06/11/2008, -0/+2i'm a fat *****' slob and i can run and jump over crap and occasionally stop and go MWOWM and then go again. maybe not exactly that well.
