- 9bpm9, on 09/04/2008, -0/+56Who is this Eskimo princess you speak of?
- TonyLocNE, on 09/04/2008, -1/+46that's *****... a guy triumphs all over the world on a bicycle and then BAM!, some ***** in a car kills him.
- Coffeedemon, on 09/04/2008, -0/+44they hum like angels
- koldmilk, on 09/04/2008, -13/+47That is sick... that driver should be put on a bike and hit with his own car.
- inactive, on 09/04/2008, -2/+29Live by the bike, die by the hella heavy car.
- scottsutherland, on 09/04/2008, -3/+27Mr. Hammurabi, your code is outdated.
- CharlesDance, on 09/04/2008, -1/+21Death could come round the corner at any moment when your passion is getting hit by cars. RIP.
- Canonet, on 09/04/2008, -1/+20I bet that guy lived and experienced more in his last few years than i, or most others for that matter, ever will in our lifetime.
As luap above remarked, he died doing something he loved. I should be so lucky. - Br3ach, on 09/04/2008, -0/+18What! There is plenty of excitement in my cubicle! You never know what my spreadsheets will do next!
Just kidding, I hate my life - AbdullahAbuDawu, on 09/12/2008, -0/+17A motto Motorcyclists live by...
"Watch out for the cages."
They are often filled with idiots on cellphones, eating donuts, doing their makeup, talking to passengers, yelling at their kids, reading the newspaper, watching their in dash GPS.
RIP - displaced1, on 09/04/2008, -3/+20***** Greeks suck at driving. I know of 4 people who have been killed by a car in Greece and I was hit by one also. I guess this is what happens when there is no driver education, or a real testing process in a country full of one lane rural mountainous curvy roads. Also a total lack of police enforcement of driving laws.
- Ladymongoose, on 09/04/2008, -2/+18What a crappy end to a wonderful life.
- goldfenix, on 09/04/2008, -1/+17Any guy who can ride a bike through the Sahara is more of a man than you'll ever be.
- scottsutherland, on 09/04/2008, -2/+17Kinda puts modern human life into perspective...a man can bicycle throughout nature for 40 years then be killed by a big piece of oil-driven metal.
- ferrisnox, on 09/04/2008, -1/+15This literally happens everyday all the time to anyone riding anything with two wheels. People driving cars, minivans, etc.... just don't care about anything smaller than a car. "I didn't see you", "You were in my blind spot", "He was on a motorcycle must have been speeding". These are excuses we use to hide the fact that irresponsible drivers murder people everyday who want nothing more than to get from point A to point B fast, efficiently, and with minimal impact to the environment.
- darkyplasma, on 09/04/2008, -0/+12Too bad he went out in a bad accident.
RIP my comrade. - evilesttoast, on 09/04/2008, -3/+14More like badass!
- Lutremi, on 09/04/2008, -1/+12"If ye shalt hit man on bike with car, ye shalt be hit with car on bike."
- Darkaged, on 09/04/2008, -1/+11What? He loved bleeding?
RIP Nevertheless. - daridave, on 09/04/2008, -1/+11Cheers to that, man... oh, wait. Thumbs up, then. [Seriously, I agree.]
- ghostfaceDX, on 09/04/2008, -2/+11***** flawless victory with that comment right there
- slickrocktrail, on 09/04/2008, -0/+9NC Lady bikes 4,000 miles for charity and is killed 27 miles from finish line. It happened a few miles from me. http://www.wcnc.com/news/topstories/stories/wcnc-1 ...

- psion01, on 09/04/2008, -0/+7Uh huh. Well, my nature-loving friend, what would you say had he ended his life this way:
http://www.adn.com/news/alaska/story/450061.html - alankem, on 09/04/2008, -2/+9dugg for proper use of the word *******
- IphtashuFitz, on 09/04/2008, -0/+7Well if you learn anything from this story it's that you should really make the effort to go and do what you really love doing because tomorrow may be too late.
- djholybolt, on 09/04/2008, -0/+7They say ethernet cables holds better than phone cable when hanging yourself.
- marm0lade, on 09/04/2008, -0/+6You should probably heed your own advice. This is in fact situational irony:
"irony of a situation is a discrepancy between the expected result and actual results when enlivened by 'perverse appropriateness'."
Not all institutions recognize situational irony, but the American Heritage Dictionary’s usage panel found this definition acceptable. - AbdullahAbuDawu, on 09/12/2008, -0/+5http://www.google.com/search?q=in-dash+GPS&btnG=Se ...
Many of them come as an add on. Usually Lexus's and things of that nature. - Mootabolife, on 09/04/2008, -11/+16Death can come at anytime... this is why I don't drink and drive.
- roomforpanic, on 09/04/2008, -1/+6He lived more than most of us ever will.
- BorsKaegel, on 09/04/2008, -5/+10"Crazy drunk drivers..."
- inactive, on 09/04/2008, -0/+4And saying "I didn't see him" is, as far as I can tell, invariably going to get you off the hook. Say that, and even if you killed a cyclist/motorcyclist, you don't even get a ticket (unless you were DUI or something I guess).
- magic6435, on 09/04/2008, -0/+4in most places in the us and other parts of the world its illegal to ride a bike anywhere but the street... you are supposed to take a lane and behave like a car.........................
Idiot. - magic6435, on 09/04/2008, -0/+4hummm no. you are wrong. sorry someone please take this mans license hes a danger to the public.
- psion01, on 09/04/2008, -1/+5Know this ... you are a marked man. The next time you get behind the wheel of your Hummer, know that I am out there on my Schwinn ... hunting you as a lion hunts a walrus.
Wait ... let me consult "Strategy for Dummies"; I think I'm miscalculating something. - dougmc, on 09/04/2008, -0/+4If he stuck to the bike lanes/trails/sidewalks, he wouldn't have made it ten miles, let alone all the way down to Cape Horn and back and everywhere else.
(And roads are often safer for bicycles than bike trails and sidewalks are. At least most motorists will look in the road for traffic before they make a turn -- the bike lane and especially the sidewalk is a different story entirely.) - joelcass, on 09/04/2008, -0/+4Some new cars come come from the factory with in-dash GPS or you can buy them http://www.nextag.com/in-dash-gps/search-html
- inactive, on 09/04/2008, -5/+9Smoke weed, live more.
- masterkenobi, on 09/04/2008, -0/+3When I read the title that he was hit by a hit-and-run driver, at first I thought he was riding in New Jersey.
- jonellison13, on 09/04/2008, -0/+3RIP cycling friend
- wizzroom, on 09/04/2008, -0/+3What's up with all the dumb ass comments here? I swear this place has become a popularity contest for thumbs-up whores.
