The better UFC fighters have very extensive MMA backgrounds and are extremely technical. I like UFC because size really doesn't matter, it's how well your ground-work is.

I'm a honky, but my favorite fighter is Rampage. He hits like Rocky Marciano, and he's funny as hell in interviews. I especially liked the way he was humble in both fights with Chuck, whereas Chuck was an overconfident prick, dogging Rampage. - mk3k, on 09/05/2008, -0/+3That's a hard read.

Liddell is a big LHW, Fedor is a small HW.
The LHW division is deeper than the HW division (typically, aside from a few, the HW fighters aren't as well rounded or as athletic as the LHWs).
Randy went 1-2 in his last three LHW fights then went up to HW, grabbed the belt and defended it.
Fedor has evil GnP and subs, but Chuck would do his best to not let it go there.
Both have scary striking.

I do feel inclined to say that Rashad has had four very boring fights in the UFC (Hoger, Bonnar, Ortiz and Bisping), but luckily Chuck has rarely had boring fights and it seems likely that Chuck's exciting style will be imposed, not Rashad's containment wrestling. - TrevorBelmont, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2I can't stand Evans because he fights like a wet towel. His whole style seems to be built around nullifying his opponent's advantage and then doing just enough to edge out the points. It's been a damned effective strategy for putting W's on his resume but it's a terrible strategy for building a fan base.
He has slowly gotten better about this but he's still the best in the biz at sucking the fun out of a fight.

- trizzlelv, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2Ever since Rashad appeared on The Ultimate Fighter, he has always been the underdog. Matt Hughes didn't believe in him, Dana White didn't believe in him - NOBODY believed in him... yet still, three years later he's still undefeated.
I know he's probably going to lose, but people love an underdog story, and especially in a sport like MMA where *EVERYONE* has losses (unlike boxing where a loss pretty much knocks you back to the bottom of the ladder), it's a great story, and how amazing would it be to keep this "Cinderella" story going.
For one, I am rooting for the underdog, but the Ice Man will probably knock Evans out.
