I remember taking the banana seat and long-ass handlebars off of my 1970's style Stingray and replacing them with what back then was regarded as a ten speed seat and handlebars bought from the motocross motorcycle vendor. This is before Mongooses (Mongeese?) and Schwinn Scramblers, etc flooded the bike shops. You literally could not buy one b/c they didn't exist.
I don't know a single friend of mine that likes to wreck or watch other people wreck; I feel the pain, I can't watch.
Who used to line up boxes in front of the monster jump and play Evel Knievel jumping the fountains at Caesar's Palace? He did that ***** on a Harley. Years later his son Robbie did it on a tricked out motocross bike. Not the same... at all. - andrew111, on 01/08/2009, -1/+1This is a good one>

If you're on a skateboard and you munch it, then you're pretty much just eating ***** on whatever you happen to fall on. When you munch it on a bike, you're pretty much going to eat ***** on a spiky piece of metal. They're both obviously going to suck, but at least with skating the odds of getting impaled are so much lower.

- sat0shi, on 01/08/2009, -1/+1Umm... Those weren't even that bad at all. I skateboard and fall like that all the time. It actually doesn't hurt at all as long as you roll properly. Every once in a while you'll get caught off-guard and fall the wrong way and get bruised or scraped, but most of the time nothing happens at all.
