- louiebaur, on 08/30/2008, -2/+13Nice! I had a Eddie Reategui Warrior when I was a kid
- Thumper13, on 08/31/2008, -0/+10Where the hell in my Hosoi Hammerhead?
Greatest skateboard ever! - ouzome, on 08/31/2008, -0/+9The Gator, Hosoi and Lance Mountain boards were my favorites.
- xDFuNK, on 08/30/2008, -2/+11skate art will never die
- JeffBuzz, on 08/30/2008, -2/+8I still miss my original Mike McGill
- ecstaticist, on 08/31/2008, -1/+7In 1978 I bought a Hobie Mike Weed Radical Terrain Rocker Deck. It was curved like a banana. It might not have been the best deck of all time, but it sure had a cool name.
- Gobias85251, on 08/31/2008, -1/+7Wow! The feeling that I just got by seeing those boards again was too cool. Don't forget about Mark Gator Rowgowski's and Rob Roskoff boards, two of my favorite ever. Time to break out the Gleaming the Cube and Thrashin DVD's. Ohh and might as well watch North Shore while were at it!
- rwbaskette, on 08/31/2008, -1/+7One of my favorites was the Powell/Peralta Tony Hawk Medallion board with a long nose and whale tale. That board was a lot of fun to skate. A friend of mine also got his hands on one of those first or second run Santa Cruz ever-slick freestyle boards. Everything else these days seems tiny...
- MindTrigger, on 08/31/2008, -1/+6Back in the day I was riding mostly Powell's Mike McGill boards caused I loved his logo and the board was comfortable for me. My other favs included Rob Roskopp, Natas Kaupus and Tony Magnusson.
Anyone remember when the Animal Chin video came out? Shablank! - DigablePlanet, on 08/31/2008, -2/+7Makes me want to gleam the cube
- tzilla12, on 08/31/2008, -2/+7nothing like a shark in pink shorts to make you feel like a real badass.
- SVOboy, on 08/30/2008, -4/+8Epic!
- JonTheGoose, on 08/31/2008, -3/+7That griptape is TOTALLY RADICAL!
- soniyashrma, on 08/31/2008, -0/+4It is nice to see something on digg about skateboard history not just what the new hype is all about.
- charlie55, on 08/31/2008, -1/+5the neil blender coffee break deck is the coolest ever.
- inactive, on 08/31/2008, -0/+3Rob Roscopp... :'
- inactive, on 08/31/2008, -3/+5Those are badass
- TomTruelle, on 08/31/2008, -0/+2Totally radical, dude.
- dogbyte_13, on 08/31/2008, -0/+1I miss my old Zorlac Metallica deck, skate boards today suck, they remind me of the old free style boards of the 80s
- boobsbr, on 08/31/2008, -0/+1the 80s were awesome!
- balibones, on 09/16/2008, -0/+1Site is down. Can't see the mirror. But I'll digg it anyway and set myself a reminder to come back. I was an 80's skater and am psyched to see if any of my old boards are on there, especially my favorite Rob Roskopp deck.
- vraicovi, on 08/31/2008, -0/+1MindTrigger answered why I was never able to find the board. I remembered Roscoe, but it was in fact Roskopp...
- vraicovi, on 08/31/2008, -0/+1Big time!
I remember saving up ~$200 for a decked out (no pun intended) Rob Roscoe in the mid to late 80s. I remember the graphic as a fluorescent monster busting through the deck, but I can't find a picture anywhere... - Baumer, on 09/02/2008, -0/+1No Bones Brigade Decks?
- panpizza15, on 08/31/2008, -0/+1florescent greens and pinks just scream 80s.
- TheGreatZarquon, on 08/31/2008, -2/+2Those are totally tubular, bro. Seeing those righteous old-school decks makes me want to go shred.
- tjallen, on 08/31/2008, -2/+2When I was 8, my mother bought me the Toys-r-Us board that was white with palms trees. It was crushed by either a car or my garage door. It was replaced by the then current Mark Gonazlaes pro board. After that, I got one of the first Tony Hawk vert boards. I will ask my mom tomorrow how this came about. One of the best things to ever happen to me.
- algaeturd, on 08/31/2008, -2/+211 comments and the server slammed. Awesome.
- JakeSN, on 08/31/2008, -3/+3I used to have a Skull and Crossbones deck probably from the early nineties. It still performs better than most of the cheap skateboards... I loved that board.
- devildog1633310, on 08/31/2008, -0/+0So Boss! Way Rad! But where is the Zorlack skull deck?
- louiebaur, on 08/31/2008, -2/+2Mirror
http://www.mirrorrr.com/www.skateboardingmagazine. ... - conradmstroud, on 12/21/2008, -0/+0time and left. Once I arrived home, I slid the end of a paper clip into the zipper pull and it's worked fine ever since. If you really want to be fancy, you can find a paper clip that matches the color of your coat, but I think silver goes with everything.
