- Xaevier, on 07/15/2009, -2/+44I think my ears are bleeding from that opening guitar playing...
- 1337squirrel, on 07/15/2009, -1/+32This kid is definitely amazing, and looks to have a great future in the sport. Add to the mix the "11 years old = fearless" combination...
However, the video editor needs to learn that LOUD does not = good. The audio is WAAYYY to high on this video. Be forewarned if you're at work. - landmonster, on 07/15/2009, -8/+34What a little *****
- mountain1488, on 07/15/2009, -0/+18My boss was walking by when I clicked on the video and I didn't realize how high my speakers were. He then came into my office and asked me what I was watching, but not 10 seconds before that I ripped one of the nastiest farts of my life. So now not only does he think I goof off at work, but he also thinks I have a serious gastric problem.
- searcade, on 07/15/2009, -1/+16i was expecting ninja moves
- borez, on 07/15/2009, -2/+12He's better then I was at that age, there again I only had a plank of wood screwed onto a sawn in half roller skate.
- jofairweather, on 07/15/2009, -1/+8He's tiny!
- Conky, on 07/15/2009, -5/+12I reckon who was in charge of the audio portion of that video did not wear a helmet either when they were young. If you are going to be jumping over ***** and grinding rails and transitions put a GODDAMN helmet on. OR you can be the next great paralyzed 12 year old.
- inactive, on 07/15/2009, -3/+10Awesome kid.
- mlvassallo, on 07/15/2009, -0/+6This was my little brother at 11... Now he is a burnt out musician still living at home, but he was a cool 11 year old.
- mikeliketrike, on 07/15/2009, -1/+7My jealousy can't help but hate him just a little bit. It's awesome he found something he's this good at at such a young age. Good for him. Little *****. But no, seriously... good for him.
- naner, on 07/15/2009, -0/+5What do you expect? The volume slider goes up to 11.
No really, check it out. It does. - wolfzombie, on 07/15/2009, -0/+5I believe both are requirements for digg users, are they not?
- Probatus, on 07/15/2009, -0/+5Awesome. The little kid that makes the big boys cry. As for the helmet thing - he has too much going for him not protect his "limitless potential". Would be a shame for his bright future to be dimmed with a brain injury.
- inactive, on 07/15/2009, -1/+5if you want to add value you to this thread by mentioning some obscure athlete include a link or don't bother posting. and you might want to mention anything about James Harries aside from his name aside from child prodigy.
- bluehouse, on 07/15/2009, -0/+4stick with the skating and give up the guitar
- dakial, on 07/15/2009, -0/+4What a excellent set of parents he must have....
- rstarr, on 07/15/2009, -0/+3Now who here wants to hear a good story about a bridge?
- topgun553, on 07/15/2009, -0/+3I always wonder what ends up happening to these kids when I see a child prodigy in a sport or any activity when they grow up. I know in some cases such as Tiger Woods they end up becoming every bit as good as you thought they would, but in extreme sports such as skateboarding there would seem to be a large risk of injury. I mean you keep pushing the boundaries of your ability and the sport and you could easily get very injured. Or in some cases you can just become burned out on the activity -- as I can only imagine for the kids who are forced through schools at break neck speed.
Anyway if anyone has any information on what happens to child prodigies I would be interested enough to take a read. - frishackbanned, on 07/15/2009, -0/+3uh, no you're not.
- Jade10145, on 07/15/2009, -0/+2Very talented little kid. Color me a little jealous. I wish I had taken up skateboarding when I was as small as him. Your center of gravity is a lot better when your that small. That and your fear level is almost nil, partly because you don't have that far to fall.
I barley made it past pop shove it's as an awkward teenager. Damn you kid. - ZeroCubed, on 07/15/2009, -0/+2Where does he damn live? The skate park and snow-boarding area are amazing.
- inactive, on 07/15/2009, -1/+3http://lmgtfy.com/?q=James+Harries&l=1
- you douche nozzle - this is the first result from google so again if you want to add value you need to add a link because otherwise I don't know if you are talking about this guy or the quarterback or someone entirely different. James Harries isn't exactly a household name. you even responded to my comment with a snarky response where as you could have instead included a link and been about your business. how about include a link or shut the ***** up about it since doing a search resulted in many people with that name. - AaronPDX, on 07/15/2009, -0/+2360 BONELESS TO SHOVE IT!
- PowderedToasty, on 07/15/2009, -0/+2Yeah ***** those 11 year olds with no bankable skills.
- PL3NTY, on 07/15/2009, -0/+2s/then/than
- bobbybeaufont, on 07/15/2009, -2/+3Amazing skills for such a little lad, could he be the next Tony Hawk or Ryan Scheckler!!
- mikemehak, on 07/15/2009, -0/+1what's with people giving the kid a hard time about not wearing a helmet?
most of us grew up in an age of no helmets, suffered multiple concussions and still managed to lead normal lives. - rstarr, on 07/15/2009, -1/+2This kid is better at skating at 11 then I feel I will be at anything in my whole life.
- commonground, on 07/15/2009, -0/+1looks like the UK for sure, the snow slope I think is in Castleford in Yorkshire - the north of England
- danramm, on 08/03/2009, -0/+1You thought either of those above were kickass; see a real ninja and check out one persistant mofo tryin to front flip off a roof over and over...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LbK9ri0RPpY
OR a film school edit of the same guy slammin into pavement all over:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=unuWcAQET0U - AsSubtleAsABrik, on 07/15/2009, -3/+4He's great for his age. When I was like 17 I tried to teach the kids who skated on my street all the time how to do a few things (they were 10 or 11). They wouldn't listen to a thing I said, couldn't get them to sit still long enough to ollie.
- borez, on 07/15/2009, -2/+3Well that's entirely up to you really.
- sultanica, on 07/15/2009, -3/+4this is neat but unless you turn pro I advise you to learn a few other skills
if WW3 happens the last thing anyone needs is a skateboarder - ADifferentUsern, on 07/15/2009, -0/+1HOAX! Not an 11 year old kid. A midget with super powers.
- ZeroCubed, on 07/15/2009, -0/+1http://www.mentalfloss.com/blogs/archives/23412
A list of 9 child prodigies who grew up to be somebody.
Do a google search of child prodigies...and some of the stories that came up are sad. Physical and emotional abuse, one turned prostitute because of an overbearing father. It's pretty hard on the kids when their parents don't allow them to be anything but geniuses :/
But it's also probably hard on the kids who are prodigies in something that their parents wouldn't necessarily be happy about (mostly arts and sports). Or if they had parents who don't even give a damn.
In fact my dad, when I churned up a particularly good piece of art (I inherited some drawing talent from my mother's side), said "That only proves that you've wasted a hell lot of time". My parents would have that I was good in maths, physics or chemistry. But instead I show up talent in art - not something they wanted. - SoyoKaze, on 07/15/2009, -2/+3...what am I doing with my life?
- PL3NTY, on 07/15/2009, -0/+1you borez me
- smoger, on 07/15/2009, -0/+1could have done without the distorted audio
- kiffar, on 07/15/2009, -1/+2Cool video, obnoxious music.
- guardianx, on 07/15/2009, -3/+4This kid is amazing
- cruxboarder, on 10/25/2009, -0/+1Did anyone else notice the song playing happened to be about masturbating... and there's a little boy in the video... *looks for pedobear*
- skyjis6, on 07/15/2009, -1/+1i wish my folks could afford a gold-plated Marshall amp when i was a little kid. I wish i could send the 11 year old version of me to beat his @#$%, take that amp, break his guitars and steal his boards. Then my 11 year old self would say "your ninja skills are weak," and ninja vanish back into the past.
- Shipyaad, on 08/03/2009, -0/+0That should have had Mozart rather than Mendelssohn.
- Shipyaad, on 08/03/2009, -0/+0Exactly. Normal. This kid is NOT normal.
- Shipyaad, on 08/03/2009, -0/+0Yeah, well, I do.
This kid has talent and it would suck to see that go to waste if he had a debilitating head injury. - forevernomad, on 07/15/2009, -1/+1See? That wasn't so difficult now was it?
douche nozzle? Wow, *****, sorry, If I'd known you were actually retarded I would have just said 'nice going little buddy' and left it at that. -
