- whiteknives, on 07/28/2008, -1/+44Man, what a title.
- vladsmiljanic, on 07/28/2008, -1/+23That's nothing. Back in my day we didn't have parachutes..or diamonds. We had to jump off the tallest dinosaurs and make shapes in the form of rocks or fire.
- ironeus, on 08/01/2008, -1/+15Very cool that 13 countries united for this record.
- loringalta, on 07/28/2008, -0/+13It would be extremely nerve racking up there, knowing that you could cause somebody's death by not docking correctly.
Congratulations to them! - mnemy, on 07/28/2008, -0/+11Wow you're retarded
- FaithclubDotNet, on 07/28/2008, -2/+12Was any of them named Lucy?
- jmuhlbie, on 07/28/2008, -2/+9That is so cool!

- whoomp123, on 07/28/2008, -2/+9person 1: Hey I think a seagull just ***** on you.
person 2: No, actually 100 skydivers just came together above us. - Totz83, on 07/28/2008, -0/+4Im almost certain I seen a Porno with the same name
- zadadka, on 07/28/2008, -0/+4I've only jumped from a well-maintained and entirely serviceable aircraft on five occasions...four times on orders, and once for charity.....I never saw the reason to do so otherwise.
Based on that very limited experience, and the resultant attempts to defy gravity and concoct a landing vaguely in the intended area of a very large rock (called Earth) at less than 123 mph......with no more than bits of cloth........RESPECT to these guys.
Art comes in many forms. - Terra21, on 07/28/2008, -1/+5I read this title as something totally different before i saw it was about parachuting.
- sup191, on 07/28/2008, -0/+3While not really being of any real value, that's still one of the coolest damn things I've seen in months...
- scuvball, on 07/28/2008, -0/+3Skydiving is a huge rush.
- BedPost, on 07/28/2008, -0/+2Man, I really want to go skydiving someday. It seems like such an incredible rush - I mean, rollercoasters are fun and all, but skydiving must blow those away.
- theloofa, on 07/28/2008, -0/+2Almost... but not quite
- im2emo4myshrt, on 07/28/2008, -0/+2Capitan Obvious strikes again!
- ramunenke, on 07/28/2008, -0/+2I thought it said "100 skydivers came together to make a demand." From there I figured it would be some anti-bush anti-war skywriting to make the front page on digg but this is cool too.
- inactive, on 07/31/2008, -0/+2no.. like Dustin would say.
- djmik83, on 07/28/2008, -0/+2First of all its an AAD(Automatic Activation Device) not an AOD. Second of all WTF are you talking about? There is no way any human is this dumb.
- Farmer77, on 07/28/2008, -0/+2Like the young kids would say, that's epic.
- inactive, on 07/28/2008, -0/+1Dugg for mental picture of what the title means to me!
"*****! THAT MUST HAVE BEEN A HUGE PIGEON!!" - gettarat, on 11/15/2008, -0/+1Was any of them named Lucy?
http://jewelrydiamondrings.org/ - WesleyD, on 07/29/2008, -0/+1Why must you slam us with your spam?
Since you decided to be so dumb, now I must give you the big red thumb! - WesleyD, on 07/29/2008, -0/+1Congrats! Only 24 more until you get your A-license.
My motivation for getting my A-license during training was knowing that the sooner I got my A-license, the cheaper the costs of jumps would be.
Then you buy your own gear and all you have to pay is the price of a jump ticket, no gear rental or any ***** like that.
Beginner level jumps are somewhere b/w $300 and $400 each for AFF.. and the price slowly drops once you advance to new categories in your training.
It can be quite expensive.
All I pay now is 23 bucks a jump.
(Used to be 20 bucks before gas prices rose up) - harrisbradley, on 08/01/2008, -0/+1Veteran of D-Day: eh...
- Bobzero, on 07/30/2008, -0/+1This is one of the best i have ever seen, this took 7 years of planning and worked out very nice!
- inactive, on 07/28/2008, -0/+1Actually the sport exists because of the space program.
The AOD is identical to the ones used for the Mercury and Apollo missions.
The research used for canopies makes our plane jumping soldiers lighter and safer too.
Also, research for canopies also help make hot air balloons cheaper, lighter, and safer.
If you want to talk performance, look up the ZPO styles of F111, rip stop nylon with a layer of silicon to help cut through the air. - ecrunner, on 07/28/2008, -0/+1one guy is out of place in the first picture.....
- maddendude, on 07/28/2008, -0/+1Amazing.
- vladsmiljanic, on 07/29/2008, -0/+1Very clever...at first I was like lame semen joke but then I got the pun after a second
- shampoozleberry, on 07/29/2008, -0/+1You better not let the Flying Spaghetti Monster hear you, He doesn't like competition.
- inactive, on 07/28/2008, -0/+1Roc-A-Fella Dawg.
- madbadger, on 07/29/2008, -0/+1total # of skydivers in diamond formation = (# in middle row)^2
- LongBong, on 07/28/2008, -0/+1i would be SO scared.
- sims5487, on 07/28/2008, -0/+1See, I looked at the title and thought of "Come together... right now... over me."
But then again, this IS Digg. - Taiyaki, on 07/28/2008, -1/+2Very cool.
- kleash, on 07/29/2008, -0/+1It would've been more cool if the colors of the parachutes actually forms a large image of Rick Astley
- FelixdaaHack, on 07/28/2008, -1/+2I just did my AFF1 jump this past weekend :D
- inactive, on 07/29/2008, -0/+1i guess skydiving is a way of producing intense heat and pressure
- monsterette, on 07/28/2008, -0/+1...whooaaa...now that's a great jump formation, absolutely beautiful!
- RMoore08, on 07/29/2008, -0/+1Chill.
- freedomschild, on 07/28/2008, -1/+1Now that's an experience! All the "what if's": WHAT IF this adventure opened some new Journey within you -- the elevation of inspiration -- YOU gave this participation to yourself. Some need to walk a line (at least for some time) -- YET for others met, the "loosening the line" is "what the CAN IN YOU" respect). You appreciate the unexpected revelation that YOU ARE MORE THAN YOU THINK YOU ARE! Not ego bound to some dying star -- but birthed again and again, the wealth of Spirit will take you far (unfortunately, for those whose chains are tight, the unwilling will never ignite the fires that breathe within you; you can only go so far as your thinking takes you). Obviously I've given my Self that intensity of living. Glorious the vision -- and perhaps through evolution, human beings did once fly; and as with anything, you won't know if you don't try!
- Quicksdraw, on 07/28/2008, -1/+1Eeeeeewwww!!!!
