It is always funny, well maybe interesting would be the right word, when people want to show how much more cool they are, or at least how much more in touch they are, by talking about oldness or how many times it has been previously dugg.
When I see something dugg which I have seen before, I close it and move on. If enough people see it (yes, it may take 20 times), it won't be dugg anymore. Of course, as digg increases membership, more and more of those people haven't REALLY been around the internet so much, so they may digg old *****. If it becomes too much of a problem, I will find another, more elite site. Anyways the first shot is at the wedge, and then most of the skimboarding footage (esp with the smaller wedging sidewaves) was filmed in Laguna. It's a shame they edited the skimming to kinda conceal the spots in Laguna because you miss out on them running/jumping on their board and catching the sidewave. - misterhat, on 02/11/2008, -0/+2I know, it's 10 years old. I've told people for years that I saw a guy throw his board down at the Wedge, catch the side wave, pump into the peak, get tubed, ride out and step onto the sand dry. That was amazing. Maybe this happens a lot there, but I've only seen it once. Incredible.

Wedge > Victoria - SIRBERUS, on 02/11/2008, -0/+1We get some small ones in southern california, usually after a large swell when some of the big waves have carved out a lip on shore. It causes some "backwash" waves that go back out into the ocean. Sometimes the are big enough to ride out on a surfboard or boogey board (not stand up though).
