- Error601, on 10/10/2007, -5/+28Global warming refugee boats? How lame can you get?
- Hittman6, on 10/10/2007, -2/+21This joke is far older than the global warming scare. It was originally a joke about CA earthquakes.
And it wasn't funny back then either.
Buried as lame, because there's no "pathetically lame" button. - chris9902, on 10/10/2007, -9/+23It also comes with a free pitcher of kool-aid. drinky drinky.
- tizz66, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9I thought I'd been transported back to the internet circa 1995.

- ayeroxor, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9Reciprocal newsflash just for you: Exercise won't avoid death. But it gives you more time to figure out what you're going to do with life.
- SkippyDoorknob, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8Is it too late to bring back the Captain Planet cartoons?
- eth3l, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8STEP TWO: Sell Carbon Offsets, sell solar panels, sell anythng with the word GREEN on it.
Hey, the the GOP can "scam" America, why can't the left? - robojerk, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7You are a consumer whore.
- Noctem, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6There were hurricanes last year.
But not a single one hit the entire atlantic coast. Just a few minor tropical storms.
Source, if you believe NOAA! http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/tracks/2006atl.gif - yahoofrom, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Seriously dude let's not make joke of global warming. global warming is real and we really need to get rid of the sun asap before it's too late.

- hoovcluck, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Several inches? Gimme a effing break.
- robisfunky, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4 Uhhh... It didn't get named "Greenland" cause it was covered with ice....
- spyd3rweb, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6i was expecting a few dollar signs and a mound of cash.
- Jamihabs, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4I think his point was that lately the experts have been 100% inaccurate.
- John184, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5So, a few thousand years ago we had an ice age. Since then the planet has slowly been warming. Why does everyone assume that when the planet gets to a comfortable temperature for us that it would just STOP getting warmer!?!?
- Chestnut3499, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5hahahaha
douchebag - eexlebots, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Sorry, politics aside, "Joy of tech" ranks right up there on the lamemeter as "user friendly." This was a tired old joke from a tired old strip. At least the humor is "recycled." ughg.
- blast_flame, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I was about to digg you down for a second. Great joke.
- mindblaze, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4see theres a always a good side to a global disaster
- ffleming, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3globlol warming
- SpykerSpeed, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3If you want to see what people really think about global warming, look at where they put their money. Beachfront property continues to climb in value even after tsunamis, hurricanes, and the "global warming" scare.
- bobcrotch, on 10/10/2007, -4/+7Newsflash: Your Toyota Prius will not stop global warming.
- naio, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4***** Joy of Tech, that bunch of Apple shills.
- XV745, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4There weren't any hurricanes last year?! (citation please)
- daleeburg, on 10/10/2007, -3/+5anybody know the current predictions for when the water levels will rise 100 feet?
- climateHeretic, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2hmmm several inches... apparently you have not had your GW indoctrination confirmed yet, perhaps your recruiter is at fault. I believe your bible says 20 feet. Please at least try to know your own camp before walking into mine. You are not helping your cause.
- pwozney, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2This year on July 16 the Pacific tropical storm Cosme was upgraded to Hurricane status. It was totally shocked by the news and quickly slunk away into a minimal tropical storm for a day before petering out.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007_Pacific_hurricane_season#Hurricane_Cosme - zephc, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3You just described all of Joy of Tech "comics"
- panicofficer, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3New Scientist's current magazine cover story is about that... but not 100 feet. They show a map of the new Florida sans, Miami, the Everglades and Tampa. Of course, it's happened before so it's bound to happen again. I grew up in the middle of the state on the Lake Wales ridge... the sand is white like beach sand and there are shark's teeth and shells in it yet it's more than 100 miles from the coast... hmmm...
http://www.archbold-station.org/fai/index.html - HairyFotr, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I believe awareness is the only thing rising around here...

- corrupt1, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2"NOAA scientists predict 13 to 17 named storms, with seven to 10 becoming hurricanes, of which three to five could become major hurricanes of Category 3 strength or higher," said a NOAA official. An average season sees 11 named storms, with six becoming hurricanes, including two major hurricanes."
They'd better get busy - times a-wastin' - norman619, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3Nice way to turn lemons into Lemonade!
- texaspeaks, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Gee... where's the accusation that Bush is causing global warming in order to make a few bucks? Isn't anybody going to spin a new fringe kook theory to provide further proof that Bush out to take over the world and destroy us all?
- Phillbo88, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Yeah...................................um just Yeah.
