Or is it all about the greenbacks? Kim Saylors-Laster, vice president of energy for Wal-Mart, says "We absolutely are focused on doing things that are good for the planet but it absolutely has to be good for profit as well."
- warmuffin, on 11/20/2008, -0/+1Interesting! I've been pushed by the media (and some people claiming information/knowledge) to hate Walmart and their practices; but would I shop at a store completely powered by wind energy? Hell yes! Walmart claims to be heading to completely renewable energy, but I'm excited to read that Whole Food Market, Inc. has already done that! So far I've only heard good things about them...perhaps a little research is called for to know more!
Renewable energy is better than where we are at now, and who these days disagrees? Anyone? *intrigued - might research that too!* - Dexter2012, on 11/25/2008, -0/+0If Walmart intends to profit by making themselves look better by using green energies, than so be it. Maybe this is how the free market will see fit to start becoming greener!
