That's not to say they're not cool, though. - optize, on 10/11/2007, -0/+65rehosted;

Gozer: [Evil voice] Are you a God?
Dr Ray Stantz: [Looks at Peter, Peter nods] No.
Gozer: Then... DIE!
[Electrocutes the Ghostbusters; pushing them to the edge of the apartment building; people below scream]
Winston Zeddemore: Ray, when someone asks you if you're a *God*, you say "YES"! - babymitch, on 10/11/2007, -2/+52"tight-jeans"
hahahaha - picciano, on 10/11/2007, -4/+49Some of those should almost be marked NSFW.
- rauz, on 10/11/2007, -25/+54Looks good enough to eat.
- Professr, on 10/11/2007, -5/+33According to Wikipedia, "mammatus" is latin for breast-cloud. Sexy.
- idonthack, on 10/11/2007, -2/+27edit: digg's comment system blows chunks
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -10/+33I found these pictures plus a ton more cool clouds at http://pileofphotos.com/view/107/Fun-clouds if you like these ones it's worth a look.
- Dycacian, on 10/11/2007, -3/+25These have been on Digg a few times, but I like seeing them. The following is a link to a bunch more.

- RajAtWork, on 10/11/2007, -3/+21Mammatus clouds are not particularly rare. I saw them in TX tons of times. Once minutes before corner of our roof got blown off.
- cfpresley, on 10/11/2007, -1/+18Apparently these clouds are not so rare on digg, this is at least the third time I've seen these exact photos through digg. Marked as duplicate

Mammatus (also known as mamma or mammatocumulus, meaning "breast-cloud") is a meteorological term applied to a cellular pattern of pouches hanging underneath the base of a cloud. The name "mammatus" is derived from mammary, due to some persons believing that the clouds bear a significant resemblance to human female breasts. via wikipedia - Rileyper, on 10/11/2007, -1/+13mmmmmmmmm Marshmallow
- reechme, on 10/11/2007, -1/+12I hereby call that these type of cloud formations are called 'excessive ladybumps'.
- PvtJenkins, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9Looks like the Marshmallow Man is skeetin' on Earth

lol....that's great...I'll be eagerly watching-out for an opportunity to craft that phrase into a conversation ... - Cloud7654, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6If I had a dollar for every time I saw those pictures...
- lensman00, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Digg should have a "Best of Digg" feature for newbies to peruse for these stories/media that are just too good not to repost every six months. Then when they pop back up we can mark them with a special dupe bury such as "already in Best of Digg".
That would make the hoary "yeah, but I'm new to Digg and haven't seen this before" argument moot. - spore, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Just to give you guys some additional background.. I live in the town where at least two of these pictures were taken.

These were both taken at the Tom Osborne Football Stadium at Hastings College (a liberal arts college in Hastings Nebraska). If I remember right these were taken a few years ago... maybe 2003? Around the time when we had a nasty hailstorm come through which pretty much broke every window facing east, wreaked some serious havoc, we were declared a disaster area. Anyway not sure if these were taken then or not, but it seems to me it was around that time.
But yeah, I've seen these types of clouds a few times before.. normally during the summer. We get some crazy cool looking clouds out here from time to time. - wbxhc, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6Looks like something you would see in Mario

- Lux7, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5In the last picture, it looks like there's going to be some brown rain.
- rowlodge, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5like in oklahoma, i like to watch the clouds before a storm, scares everybody else i know.
- yankeesfan53, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Anyone else think Monty Python when seeing these clouds?
- techsmack, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4These are cool, but very old. I've seen these exact photos nearly a year ago (not to mention the 2004 copyrigt). I'd like to find some clouds like this and take some shots for myself.
- kiziltilki, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4i think God uses Photoshop... unbelievable.
- NeoCortex, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6The look of those clouds almost have me expecting a Monty Python version of God to come down and give Arthur his quest for the Holy Grail.

Love these pictures btw - LostOnion, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4Is it manly to like clouds? I just want to make sure which way I should go on this.
- GordonV, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Received a Forbidden page
- peloria, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Definitely weird, but not very rare here in Tornado Alley. I actually think I have a photo I took of these somewhere...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v498/Peloria/mammatus.jpg - mskadu, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Dude, are you sure these are not photoshopped? Too weird to be true!
- MacGyver2210, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2You act like you've never seen round ball-shaped clouds before.
Also, if you didn't PS or crop these photos somehow, your camera is seriously screwed up. - saillax0609, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2"Believe it or not, these are not photoshopped!"
Tisk tisk, Adobe wouldnt be happy. Try this, "Believe it or not, these photographs were not modified using the image editor Adobe Photoshop" -
