- cosmicbdog, on 01/14/2009, -3/+10As much as chemicals like this should be banned, so should farmed fishing. Farmed fishing could also be a result... whereby they are feeding fish pellets with dies and colouring so that these unhealthy fish fed in unnatural environments don't look disgusting at the fish market.
Time to return to natural ways genius farmers with bigger pockets than morals and ethics. - davidrools, on 01/14/2009, -0/+6farmed fishing has its advantages: it doesn't deplete natural fish populations, and farmed fish aren't prone to mercury contamination. Do you have any sources to corroborate your claim about the health of farmed fish? I'd be interested to see. I thought the coloring was just to make the fish appear more natural or tasty rather than to mask some kind of health problem. Regardless, consumer push (or government regulation) is what's needed to drive fish farmers from a) removing coloring and b) feeding fish a more natural diet and keeping them healthier, which would cost more. I'd be willing to pay more, anyway.

/s - johnsna2, on 01/14/2009, -0/+2farmed fish also have their disadvantages but there are sustainable practices being developed. It really all comes down to the individual farmers practices.

- scb0825, on 01/14/2009, -0/+2This happened to these fish by no accident; this is an on going genetic experiment to see exactly what it takes to engineer bass that are double the tastiness of "normal" bass.

- beauley, on 01/14/2009, -0/+1With the Industrial Revolution well underway by the middle of the 20th century, it seemed the right time for the U.S. and the rest of the world to embark on a new strategy, and so began the new science of marketing, which would include both product and services.

BTW How is Cubbie Farm going with all the rains? are you going to let any of that water down the Darling river (now drain) and do you intend to pay for any of it like the people downstream do even though they don't actually get any?
