- jquipp, on 03/27/2008, -4/+21I can see how lack of pollution might help something taste better!
- hello2usir, on 03/27/2008, -4/+5You're just now coming to that conclusion?
- netdroid9, on 03/27/2008, -2/+3Polluting our water with barley and hops doesn't improve the taste, then?
- noseeme, on 03/27/2008, -0/+5Water full of barley and hops would taste disgusting. There are a few more steps than that. :)
- ravage86, on 03/27/2008, -0/+1Correct. Beer tastes like urine.
- makkaveli19, on 03/27/2008, -0/+1damn, i always liked my water with a little bit of a waste aftertaste
- CrushThemTorg, on 03/27/2008, -0/+2You, sir, are a visionary.
- OwdenBowden, on 03/27/2008, -0/+1We have been so polluted that I would wager not one of us could determine the difference between Tap water and Natural water. The water in NYC is very good but people still buy bottles of Poland Springs or what have you - and little do they know - this is Filtered water as well.
- DermDoc, on 03/27/2008, -0/+15I tell you it's not San Diego water; by the time water from the Colorado river gets to us, its got so much bleach it whitens your underwear.
- actionscripted, on 03/27/2008, -3/+1Or your bare, pasty ass.
- j1ggy, on 03/27/2008, -1/+3I was totally rubbing my eyes when you didn't say teeth.
- pleeker, on 03/27/2008, -0/+8The tap water up here in my part of Washington is just fine, thank you verra much.
- fauxpaw, on 03/27/2008, -2/+10The water in South Texas is so full of minerals, it leaves a powdery white dust all over everything. Yuck.
- zyryx, on 03/27/2008, -0/+1east texass too
- kdfrawg, on 03/27/2008, -3/+4The best water on the planet is Hetch-Hetchy reservoir water in San Francisco, run through as few city pipes as possible.
- Jcarcutt, on 03/27/2008, -1/+4If you come visit us here in South Florida, Buy the bottled water ...
http://www.nbc6.net/news/2618635/detail.html- crstern, on 03/27/2008, -0/+1The water in Florida just tastes awful. Even without having to read about it in the news I would avoid it. Miami water tastes soapy, and tick somehow. Really mineral heavy. There also used to be a big sulfery smell coming out of my grandmothers water (you could mainly tell in the shower). I thought this was just her place, and maybe I was more sensitive as a kid. But staying in a hotel there more recently the exact same smell.
Just avoid the water there... period. - gregh, on 03/27/2008, -0/+1However, if you come visit North Florida, you need not worry.

- MarkDykeman, on 03/27/2008, -1/+2Norseman sounds cool, but nothing beats home.
- havshaj, on 03/27/2008, -1/+6Swedish tap water is great. Besides, bottled water pollutes the earth! http://digg.com/environment/A_World_of_reasons_to_ ...
- DeskFlyer, on 03/27/2008, -3/+1"Contrary to what you might think, there is absolutely no taste of salt in iceberg water. That's because ice freezes slowly enough to prevent any inclusion of salt in its complex crystal structure."
Um...I knew that already, but don't icebergs come from continental glaciers?- WoollyMittens, on 03/27/2008, -0/+1No. Not by definition. Any giant lump of ice floating around will do.
- nonamesleft3, on 03/27/2008, -1/+1I heard that the French (who invented bottled water) are being encouraged to drink tap water now because it turns out we need some of the minerals that are being stripped out during the purifying process with bottled water.
- queenmoweeny, on 03/27/2008, -1/+2I really like our water in northern New Jersey...
- crstern, on 03/27/2008, -0/+1it makes no sense that this was dugg down. New York City and Northern Jersey water is amazing. I have friends that didn't live in the city that didn't believe me that our tap water was better than most bottled water until they came here and tried it themselves.
New York City water is also the cause of our bagels and pizza tasting so much of awesomeness.

- noseeme, on 03/27/2008, -2/+2The ***** that comes out of my tap is good enough. I mean, who the ***** do we think we are, Paris Hilton's dog?
- MillionsLivio, on 03/27/2008, -0/+1***** Paris Hilton -- not literally, ugh.
- E9437, on 03/27/2008, -2/+1definatlly worth 1.75$ ?
- arcooke, on 03/27/2008, -0/+1$1.75*
You live in the US.. get it right already. I guess our education system DOES suck here.
- arcooke, on 03/27/2008, -0/+1$1.75*
- capiCrimm, on 03/27/2008, -0/+7couldn't you just distill water or something if you wanted the pure water taste?
- noseeme, on 03/27/2008, -3/+2Most people will agree that distilled water is kind of nasty. We're used to water having various things in it that give it a very slight taste, like minerals or metals.
- DeskFlyer, on 03/27/2008, -0/+1Distilled water FTW
- passedoutghost, on 03/27/2008, -2/+0Cause distilling water properly with the tubes and bunsen burner is a pain in the ass.
- donnie0darko0, on 03/27/2008, -6/+3For some reason I thought Digg was better than this. Who the crap cares how water tastes? Millions of people don't even have water. The US routinely has some of the best quality water in the entire world yet we're still concerned if it "tastes" good? How SHOULD water taste? To quote Jim Gaffigan "Bottled water! Haha, they're selling bottled water!
... I guess I'll try it. Ah, this is good, this is more watery than water. Yeah, this has got a water kick to it!"- ZurMacht, on 03/27/2008, -1/+2Jim G rules. Don't know why you got dugg down.
- fs88, on 03/27/2008, -1/+5Aqua Colbert. best water hands down.
- Hobbes24, on 03/27/2008, -0/+5if you want 100% pure tasteless H2O, you should look in laboratories, not icebergs.
- chrgrose, on 03/27/2008, -0/+9In my lab I have a 18 megaohm distiller. Its nice to drink water that literally has nothing in it at all except H20 and tastes like not a damn thing.
- south409, on 03/27/2008, -1/+1This is less than news....
- CobaltBlue, on 03/27/2008, -0/+1I've had Jesus water from the south pole. They drill down to the area that was precipitated about 2000 years ago, melt it and that's the drinking water down there. It's pretty good and pretty darn pure.
- Genshinx, on 03/27/2008, -0/+3Did Micheal Jackson give it to you?
- smacksaw, on 03/27/2008, -0/+1I believe it about Clearbrook. The water in the GVRD is amazing. I'll have to try it in Clearbrook. I've never made it a point to drink tap water there.
IMO, the best water I've ever tasted is in Lake Shasta City. It comes out of the tap at like 2 degrees C or high 30's F. It is absolutely delicious. My friends all thought I was a raving lunatic the way I went on and on about it, but I told them to stop at a hotel, use the washroom and drink the water (and bring empty bottles). Just to prove me wrong, tons of people have tried it and been converted.
If you've read my post, next time you're on I-5, try it. Prove me wrong. You won't. - tracywood, on 03/27/2008, -0/+1Clearly he has mistaken Fluoride for Chlorine. Fluoride is tasteless and odorless and does not sanitize the water as he claims. Though I'm sure it "sanitizes" the brain.
- wushu18t, on 03/27/2008, -0/+3+1 for "500ml prison of polycarbonate"
- passedoutghost, on 03/27/2008, -1/+3wtf is wrong with tap water? It goes through more stringent testing than bottled water.
- tricks574, on 03/27/2008, -0/+0I feel good about myself that I've never sought to classify water by taste and nutrition, I just like that it makes me not thirsty and stink a hell of a lot less.
- lanzemurdok, on 03/27/2008, -0/+4people sure love talking about the taste of something that is not supposed to have a taste. I don't know maybe it's just me, but water is water. As long as its purified i really can't tell a difference where it comes from. Like that "Fiji" water that people claim is so great and tastes soooo gooooodd. I dont get it. It's just water.
- wwjbaby, on 03/27/2008, -1/+1MIRROR:http://www.linkinn.com/_Top_5_Glasses_of_Water_on_ ...
- charz0r, on 03/27/2008, -0/+5I doubt they've actually tasted every kind of water in the world, something which is necessary to claim a glass of water is the WORLDS best. They should've tried Norwegian water, for one - the tapwater in Narvik to be more precise. It won a nationwide competition, in which the goal was to have the best tasting and most clean water. Our energy is primarily produced through hydroelectric power, and just to put it simple: We know our water.
- breezytrees, on 03/27/2008, -1/+1oh ya? glacier water? I'll add this to my list of things to do. Definitely beats the metallic-lead-***** taste of well-water here in utah permanently tainted by mine tailings.
we are rated as one of the worst in the country. Students at my old high-school have actually died from lead poisoning from the drinking fountains. Bush put it on the national clean-up list just before the olympics as some apparent propaganda *****... as the program fell apart after some budget cuts. - kelmaster1, on 03/27/2008, -1/+1Who the hell would want to drink spring water from WEST VIRGINIA?
Oh and the netherlands tap water is by far the most pure water in the world. Their laws prohibit ANY (not even .000000001%, it's 0) organics in their water supply; it's an amazing process and I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned. The "taste" of fresh water is from the carbonate system which occurs naturally. - Slagtits, on 03/27/2008, -2/+0Come on you guys, bottled water is best, it has to be at $2 a shot, it's obvious.
- BlogDoc, on 03/27/2008, -0/+0As far as I know if you freeze water and melt it - you got really clear water.
- MillionsLivio, on 03/27/2008, -2/+2It's ***** water...
- sherbertbones, on 03/27/2008, -1/+1Bay Area water is the best. EB MUD makes tap water amazing.
- sydneynomad, on 03/27/2008, -0/+0people still drink water?
- social101, on 03/27/2008, -1/+0For good drinking water, first boil the water and put aside until it becomes to drink it. As by boiling it, the bacterias are destroyed which are existed in it and are harmful to us. So, boiling water is good for drinking water.
- pax85, on 03/27/2008, -0/+1Fresh and cold water from the our Austrian Alps just rocks!
- nefariousdeeds, on 03/27/2008, -0/+1I never gave much thought to water until I travelled from my home city...Christchurch water is neither chlorinated nor fluoridated, so I'm used to water being....water. But go anywhere else, and I feel like I'm drinking a swimming pool, or mud. Even bottled water tastes funny to me, it tastes processed and sometimes mildly like coconut! Bleh.
- macosx86, on 03/27/2008, -0/+1So www.discoverychannel.CA says best water on the PLANET comes from Canada.... Come on, who are you kidding???
- radiopayola, on 03/27/2008, -0/+1An article about the best water on earth with no mention of Schauberger. What a travesty... Dallas has a local company that does 1/3/5 gallon reusable bottles for delivery or store purchase, and they seem to use Schauberger principles in their filtration and treatment processes. Best water I've ever had...bar none.
- shaolingod, on 03/27/2008, -0/+0Gotta toot the Icelandic water.. Basically water in Iceland is so clean that when hiking and camping you can pretty much drink any water you come by... all our tap water comes straight from natural reservoirs and I think the only cleaning process is filtration...
- snolan1990, on 03/27/2008, -0/+2Anyone else thirsty?
- Itspeople, on 03/27/2008, -0/+0I haven't tried any of these waters, but I do know that there is water out there far better than that I drink on a daily basis.
For example, I got some spring water while in upstate New York. It was pretty out of the way, but you could just take a container (Nalgene in my case) and get some ice cold spring water from the source.
It was the best water I ever had. I still remember how great it was. - CovardeAnonimo, on 03/27/2008, -0/+1we've been using #2 here in brasil for a century. i grew up on that kind of water
