Ansible, on 02/20/2008, -0/+1that powerdown gadget actually looks pretty cool, powering down gadgets when other gadgets are turned off. Maybe its a waste if you only have some wimpy 5w peripherals, but my home theater power amp draws 180w, and I'm always forgetting to turn it off.

centran, on 02/20/2008, -0/+1iJorRide might seem silly or a giant sit on vibrator but I remember watching some news program about a big virtual horse riding simulator. They used it in some old folks homes in Japan. While it might not be useful for younger people they said it was a great exercise for the old and maybe the rehabilitation after an accident.
It may not seem like much of an exercise but it is a good workout for your core. Have you ever ridden a horse? Even at walking paste is takes a lot of energy.

frem001, on 02/20/2008, -0/+1What I'm in the UK (not born here) and I love my SonicCare, it's best toothbrush out there. The problem with Britain when it comes to dental hygiene is that going to the dentist is really expensive (however I think that going once every 6 months is worth it) and if it's not a free service like the NHS then people refuse to use it. I also don't think they realise the problems that may arise if you don't look after your teeth and I doubt it's something taught since childhood (I remember having a dentist come into Preprimary and Primary School and going through the correct way to brush as well as scaring us with images of what happens if you don't) and parents in this country don't seem to care either.

Think about it - babies normally cry if they need to be fed or changed. Just a glance at the timer can hint you towards the proper resolution of the problem! Same goes for waking at 4am with your mind all fogged-up when you can't remember the last time you fed or changed the crying baby - just look at the timer!

This device is also a perfect gift from a typical digger to an expecting mother (if they know one).
