- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Oh my gosh, it is 1 degree hotter. I'm so nervous.
- rocket777, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I really don't know what to believe. But I was at the beach and I know the coastline hasn't changed in the last 50 years that I've been going to the shore - not by the slightest amount. At least this is first hand knowledge. Everything else seems to be simply a vote of some people who are called "the scientific consensus".
And the heat wave we'd had in July seems to be over, and temperatures are back to averages. So, what happened?
But more in my field of expertise is the evidence of the computer models. I've worked the last 20 years on computer simulations and I've never seen a model that was bug free. - thenativeraver, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Well, here in AZ we've only gotten 3 monsoon storms and they seem to be getting more scarce every year.

- softwareNerd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Since most people have little knowledge on the issue, they usually line up according to their philosophical predilections. Since most modern philosophies and most older religions preach the virtue of some (at least mild) abstinence and some (at least mild) form of original sin, it's unsurprising that a large number of people are willing to believe themselves guilty of causing problems when they try to enjoy material resources.
- jeheald, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2The author, who is actually a climate researcher specialising in paleo-climatology, (the study of old climates), accurately reports the facts and draws a thoroughly reasonable conclusion based on his understanding of the facts.
Global-warming hysteria is exactly that - hysteria based not on facts or solid research, but on hype and politically-motivated pseudo-science. - phonest, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Take a look at this graph and tell me if you think global warming stopped in 1998? 2005 was the second hottest year on record.
