Nearly 20,000 diggs in 115 days. 170 diggs per day? Riiiiiiight..... buried. - branndon, on 12/31/2008, -1/+5I'm glad it's on one page, I really do close any article that spans multiple pages when it's not really needed.
On a serious note, I'm sick of jumping in early with some stupid witty comment in hopes of being in the top comments. Bury away. - yaosio, on 12/31/2008, -0/+4By focusing on multiple forms of power it makes future progress easier. What if we want to live somewhere where there is no easy access to material that can be used in fusion?
- TheMachine1, on 12/31/2008, -3/+7No nuclear power buried!
- Humpasaur, on 12/31/2008, -0/+3Great puff piece, but come on -- the best innovations of the 60s and 70s STILL HAVEN'T BEEN IMPLEMENTED. The biggest breakthroughs don't have a PR team behind them -- they're low-tech, low-space innovations from the third world:

- ThatGeek, on 12/31/2008, -1/+4fusion is the future
- silent128, on 12/31/2008, -0/+3yes, we also can focus on magical fairys coming down and giving us all millions of dollars. Focusing on 1 technology is a mistake we do not know how long or if ever we will get fusion to produce more power then it takes to create.
- silent128, on 12/31/2008, -1/+4Great article can't wait till all the people start posting "global warming is not real" crap. Read the article.
- Equinox1, on 12/31/2008, -1/+4This trend is amusing. Dugg.
- silent128, on 12/31/2008, -1/+4Ya because finding alternative energy is a fad that should be ignored until we run out of oil. Keep in your little shell and let every one else do the work.
- valimar77, on 01/02/2009, -0/+2"You've made your house into a fuel station," Daniel Nocera, a chemistry professor at MIT told Wired.com. "I've gotten rid of all the goddamn grids.""
- givings, on 12/31/2008, -0/+2Green is important, but green is tiny today. Compare it to the Trillion dollars pored into Internet backbone before the dot bomb. What real info without liberal or conservative B.S. See "Physics for Future Presidents" on You Tube. Okay, the guy is from Berkeley, but it is worth watching along with Friedman's "Hot Flat and Crowded" video (warning: contains liberal hype to motivate average americans). He is right about one very important thing, winning the energy end game will determine your future and our children's.

- inactive, on 01/01/2009, -1/+3buried for "green"
- inactive, on 12/31/2008, -0/+2Onetimer says, "Please don't say my username unless you have something valuble to say. It sets off an alarm on my RSS feeder which makes me think someone might need the use of my psychic powers!"
I say, use it and use it often. - inactive, on 01/01/2009, -1/+3Nearly 20,000 diggs in 115 days. 170 diggs per day? Riiiiiiight..... buried.
Also, look at his "popular" ratio at 49%
This guy definitely knows how to "game the Digg system...
C'mon Digg sheep keep eating through the ***** of "uber users"... - elnerdo, on 12/31/2008, -1/+2The only solution is to remove 'friends' from digg entirely.
- silent128, on 12/31/2008, -2/+3.... i hope that was a joke
- buddypriefert, on 12/31/2008, -2/+2In your haste to hate, you missed the point. Oh well, at least you felt a little taller after making your post.
- rhondayes, on 01/02/2009, -1/+1Hasn't scientists from all across the globe been working on fusion power for better than a century?
We don't have another century of wait for fusion as an alternate fuel source; we need help/solutions now. - inactive, on 12/31/2008, -4/+4This fad again? I'm all for equality, but this is about the 3rd time this whole posting in the comments if people are gaming the system thing is happening.
Still being gamed. - xxxermaxxx, on 12/31/2008, -1/+1Happy New Year!
- vsujohn2, on 12/31/2008, -2/+2Hopefully all the power user submissions will be filled with so many of these comments, that kevin will realize how pissed off we are about it. How about a digg limit? You can only digg so many stories in a given frame of time. You can still read stories and digg them later if you want, but you shouldn't be able to digg hundreds of things a day. Its not humanly possible, and if it is, you shouldn't let those that spend all their time on here dictate their ways to everyone else.
- C4Aries, on 12/31/2008, -3/+3Why don't we just focus on fusion power? Then all this solar, wind, wave, geothermal stuff will become a non issue. No need for swaths of panels, or acres of wind towers. Plus, with fusion, there is no waste, little danger, and plenty of power.
- fuckingusername, on 12/31/2008, -5/+4I have your top ten in my hand Digg!
another self promoted article from digg - mrnobody546, on 12/31/2008, -3/+2same here, death to the power users
2009, the year of the average user! - buddypriefert, on 12/31/2008, -7/+2"Green" this "Green" that.
I'll be glad when the "green" fad is over. Sure, I'm all for paying close attention to the environment and that we need to change our habbits. But that also does not mean that I can't get sick of the "green" spam.
Have a boring article that no one will read? No problem, insert "green" into the title and you are off to digg!

What is Digg?
