"When irrigated corn used in ethanol production is factored in, Minnesota averages about 19 gallons of water for each gallon of ethanol produced. Current state-wide ethanol production is about 4 billion gallons, a number that was expected to double this year but the economic downturn has curtailed plant expansion." That means 76,000,000,000 yes 76 billion gallons of fresh water was used in Minnesota alone to make ethanol and they are now worried about water shortages. You cannot make this stuff up.

If the EPA gets their hooks into CO2 were are all in grave trouble. Cap and trade is not dead it's just taken an alternate route. I do not understand why our leaders are destroying our country this way. A theory which has become the new religion which will highly profit all it's hypocritical promoters at the expense of the average person. Global warming is a totally uncharitable religion. All the funds go one way. You all have been brainwashed into believing something that will give the world governing powers ultimate control over everything on this planet. That's right everything. For everything we buy, eat, and do uses energy as in input. You want us all to give up our sovereignty and totally change our way of life for something that is totally unproven, on the chance that mankind may be changing Earth's climate? Can't you people see it's all about money and power and not about the environment at all? CO2 is way down on the list of warming gases. Plants need CO2 to grow, the more of it there is the faster they grow, and the faster they grow the more oxygen they put out. Why is it that so many believe man is so powerful as to change the Earth. Such a belief is totally narcissistic. It has always made me wonder why so many are so empty without a daily dose of doom and gloom to fill their voids.

It could be that that warming is stopping the onset of the next Ice Age, It could happen that their control of CO2 could trigger a cooling problem for the Earth far worse than the warming problem ever would be? As it is multiples more die from the cold than they do from the heat. Many believe that some global warming would actually be beneficial to the Earth as a whole.
