The Periodical Cicadas are coming to Chicago May 22nd!

featuresblogs.chicagotribune.c… — When will the cicadas emerge? One expert has calculated May 22. Now I'm hearing people suggest Monday evening, May 21, is likely the night to be outdoors with a flashlight, when the nymphs will do their big march up out of the soil and into the trees to molt into adult cicadas. They always emerge at night.
