It was promised, after all. - inactive, on 07/15/2009, -0/+8quite interesting - never heard of something like this being done before - they look really nice.
- jub0r, on 07/15/2009, -1/+6Sounds like a grueling, but likely spiritual, process. Nobody tell this poor guy about Photoshop.
Then again, I bet you need to see the originals in person in order to fully appreciate the work. A lot of art falls flat when converted to a jpeg and displayed on a monitor. - robbob, on 07/15/2009, -1/+4Looks like a kid's watercolors
Both look great - comeradealexi, on 07/16/2009, -0/+2But thats not the point of it and his will look better
- slim5234, on 07/15/2009, -1/+3"the 55-year-old uses roses, petunias, and even cannabis"
This helps explain where he got the idea to photograph flowers charged with 80,000 volts. - inactive, on 07/16/2009, -0/+2"These extraordinary images reveal what happens when electrical surges pass through a metal board with a plant on top."
You didn't even need to read the article this time... - nbaughman, on 07/15/2009, -1/+2they didnt say what he uses the cannabis for... inspiration?
- Peynis, on 07/16/2009, -1/+2Amazing photos, but why such tiny-ass images?
This really pisses me off.
How great those would look in wallpaper-size... - SnapEpicPwnage, on 07/15/2009, -1/+2Cool

That ones the best. - sixtyhz, on 07/15/2009, -0/+1Stunning visual. How do you end up putting 80000 volts through a plant though?
- augromainjr, on 07/15/2009, -0/+1What beauty our world has.
- sfacets, on 07/15/2009, -2/+3Hours spent over an effect that could be accomplished using any number of Photoshop filters in seconds.
- Peynis, on 07/16/2009, -0/+1More likely just to have another strong selling point.
"*even* cannabis"? Wow! Of all the plants, this sure is the most unusual one I've ever heard of. - fety, on 07/16/2009, -0/+1the same way birds land on a wire.. they're one with the circuit.
- yuanzhoulu, on 07/16/2009, -0/+1shocking
- inactive, on 07/16/2009, -0/+1 They do indeed..I'm impressed.
- Whackly, on 07/16/2009, -0/+1"This picture of Eucalyptus provides an amazing inside into plantlife" The dailymail get's dumber each day. Soom it will be a race between Fox and Mail Online to see if the obtuse banality of the latter can out-dimwit the partisan hackery of the former.
- yuanzhoulu, on 07/16/2009, -0/+1the time it takes to scroll multiplied by 100000000 diggers kind of makes up for it
- peechayahoo, on 07/16/2009, -0/+1photoshop can do that
- Frostek, on 07/16/2009, -0/+1Someone's discovered Kirlian photography again? ;-)

Edit - Ah, they gave it credit in the article at least. I think I still have some old books on this kicking about.
As long as people recognise it for what it is and don't go on about "auras" and all that crap. - Whackly, on 07/16/2009, -0/+1Much (not all, obviously) of that loss can be regained if people would only set up their monitors and hdtvs properly. In my own photoblog (I will not link it here because I'm not pimping it) I have to remember to dial everything down darker than it should be becaue, although it looks great on my properly adjusted equip, it will not look as good with the kind of low contrast, unadjusted lcd most people are staring at. It's not because my screens are better or more expensive. I just took a few minutes to get everyting corrected to reproduce images properly.
- RonADiSH, on 07/15/2009, -3/+3wasnt worth the time
- Harboggles, on 07/15/2009, -3/+2http://news.humcounty.com/images/marijuana_bud.jpg
I like this one better. - mapyqf, on 07/16/2009, -1/+0i wonder if you get higher off electric bud
- novenator, on 07/15/2009, -11/+1Heavily photoshopped, highly cool
