- HisHighness, on 10/12/2007, -5/+8That's what my wife said when I first tried Viagra. ZING!!!!!!
- bioskope, on 10/12/2007, -0/+23rd world BS? Oh right America and Britain have patented "discovering anything of some potential value"
- sithmat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm sure after a million false alarms, probability will make an accurate prediction likely.
- BevansDesign, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Check out the book "Richter 10" by Arthur C. Clarke and Mike McQuay. It's probably my favorite book. It doesn't have anything to do with this story, but it's also about earthquake prediction.
Just thought I'd throw that one out there. :) - RyanM, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Well if they only did it once, How do we know that their prediction wasn't just a lucky guess?
- vegasbright, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Question: Is this Reproducible? Can they do this consistently?
It sounds like they got lucky. - vegasbright, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Exactly
- DOOOMKULTUS, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3Total B.S. It is hardly prediction.
They used the information gathered from highly sensitive siesmological instruments, which indicated small disturbances and concluded and earthquake will happen in the next 2 weeks.
I got a prediction, there is going to be an earthquake in japan measuring 2 on richter scale,in this very week.
B.S. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1The story is just mythical unsubstantiated 3rd world bs. Marked as lame.
- Aggort, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1So does this mean they will be able to predict more accurately? Hopefully this isn't just a bandwagon kind of thing thanks to the Tsunami.
