- SilverBlade2k, on 02/02/2009, -4/+70Digg - curing cancer weekly since 2005.
- VegaObscura3, on 02/02/2009, -3/+44I thought digg already cured cancer at least 10 times.
- SpinAlley, on 02/02/2009, -1/+28Diggers - making these types of comments on all cancer-related items since 2005.
- amy31415, on 02/01/2009, -5/+29Very interesting! I love it when potential cures are found in nature rather than in the laboratory. More impetus to preserve, respect and study nature.
- anklesnap, on 02/01/2009, -2/+20I knew those tadpoles would be good for something....
- PityDaFool, on 02/02/2009, -3/+16Funny, I was just thinking Digg hasn't cured cancer in a few weeks.
- jotate, on 02/02/2009, -2/+13Digg is the cure for cancer. Have you ever met any cancer patients who were avid Digg users? Think about it.
- Angelinakinsler, on 02/01/2009, -3/+12Very interesting :-)
- directrix13, on 02/02/2009, -0/+8I bet those tadpoles were in a laboratory.
- CrackyJSquirrel, on 02/02/2009, -2/+8Digg - A place where morons cant read and think that a research breakthrough is the definition of "cure".
- DeathfireD, on 02/02/2009, -1/+7Don't these scientists remember what happened in Jurassic Park last time they used frog DNA?
- Sonan, on 02/01/2009, -2/+8Cures cancer but causes warts.
- UpperUpsilon, on 02/02/2009, -1/+6Yeah, considering they don't have hands.
- sonicpentatonic, on 02/02/2009, -0/+5FTA: "The man-made compound, NSC 84093, was chosen out of a list of 3,000 which were screened to see if they affected the pigment cells."
- inactive, on 02/01/2009, -2/+6I knew that I wouldn't be good for something.....
- Uzumaki82, on 02/02/2009, -0/+4The article said nothing about curing cancer, only a clue as to how melanoma could be stopped from migrating to other organs in the far future.
Also there are dozens of kinds of cancer and it's very unlikely there will be one cure for them all. - ByronT, on 02/02/2009, -1/+5Now we just have to find a way to talk to these "tadpoles."
- inactive, on 02/02/2009, -2/+6Smoking marijuana already cured cancer. Those other studies claiming to research a cure for cancer is more jewsish propaganda to finance the war on drugs. Wake up!
- stuffradio, on 02/02/2009, -0/+4It's not even Monday yet! I said to someone yesterday or the day before to wait till Monday for a cure... I guess those scientists were hard at work during the Super Bowl or something =]
- NathanCH, on 02/02/2009, -2/+5Tadpoles: Today's cancer cure. Can't wait until tomorrows...
- inactive, on 02/02/2009, -2/+5Tinfoil hat squarely on your head I see.
- jasdf, on 02/02/2009, -1/+4I am confident that we will either have a cure or a very effective way to control cancer within the next 50 years.
- DouglasQ, on 02/02/2009, -0/+2Late breaking news; scientists discover they can convince the world of pretty much anything they make up and still get paid.
- inactive, on 02/02/2009, -1/+3Frog and Toad went to get some cookies.
- theholotrope, on 02/02/2009, -5/+7Everyone knows God created cancer to cure us from infidels. Tadpoles are ruining God's plan!
- ureshiidesuka, on 02/02/2009, -1/+3im getting such a raging clue right now
- nonpromqueen, on 02/02/2009, -0/+2Now I feel guilty about catching the little suckers years ago. :(
- wassim2k, on 02/02/2009, -1/+3ah man, now I feel bad for shooting them with my bb gun when I was a kid.
- CrackyJSquirrel, on 02/02/2009, -0/+2I am not referring to the title, I am referring to all the idiots posting "Digg cures cancer every day... blah blah blah.. ", when all the never says anything about a cure, they always talk about research breakthroughs. But now we are in the mode of explaining my joke, which means we both fail.
- nahdigg, on 02/02/2009, -1/+3clue not cure
- inactive, on 02/02/2009, -1/+3frog said "my mother in law is a real angel"
toad says "thats nice, mine is still alive" - Niocan, on 02/02/2009, -0/+2Actually he's right about the cures. Cannabis is one of them:
http://www.scientificfactsofpot.com/studies.htm#Ca ...
But that's ok, you'll all skip over my comment and dismiss it with shallow socially stigmatic thinking while you're loved ones die from a preventable and curable cancer. :(
Also, @benkraj that's mostly true but the rather large amount of cancer today can be cured by compounds like those in Cannabis and the infamous Laetrile. - MrAwesomeMan, on 02/02/2009, -0/+1Cure for cancer?! And all this time I just thought tadpoles were a delicious mid-afternoon snack.
- Dumbledorito, on 02/02/2009, -1/+2Forward-thinking ones will jump at the chance...
...eventually, they'll jump, I mean... - anthropodeus, on 02/02/2009, -0/+1you don't understand capitalism
- stuffradio, on 02/02/2009, -1/+2Good!! Now I can peacefully sleep in those UV light tanning things or lie out in the sun without worrying about skin cancer !! :)
- inactive, on 02/02/2009, -1/+2Yeah I know all about these weekly digg cures, however most of them are simply that something was remotely successful in a mouse model. Cancer is far too complex for there to be a magic bullet cure for all cancers.
- Dumbledorito, on 02/02/2009, -1/+2And they'll trade it to us for how many billion pounds of flies?
- wassim2k, on 02/03/2009, -0/+1shallow water and good aim
- inactive, on 02/02/2009, -0/+1fail ascii
- GrooTheWanderer, on 02/02/2009, -1/+2This is where the negotiations have been failing so far - turns out tadpoles don't eat flies.
- diggdong, on 02/02/2009, -1/+2I have boat loads of tadpoles for free.
- pintocat, on 02/02/2009, -0/+1I think that's not that far from the truth. I think a lot of graduates looking for work realize that this isn't like the golden age of R&D where every company had half its resources funneled into R&D just for the sake of R&D... And to make sure they have work, they have to put out something. Thus why every 2 days there's another "study" that shows a "link"... whether it be correlation/causation BS, or yet another cancer cure.
- koolkeith12345, on 02/02/2009, -0/+1One cure to rule them all, One cure to find them,
One cure to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
In the Land of Medicine where the cancers lie. - inactive, on 02/02/2009, -1/+2good thing all frog species are rapidly becoming extinct then.
- koolkeith12345, on 02/02/2009, -0/+1my cousin seems to think they are only good for 'popping the heads' shes quite a scary person
- carbonetc, on 02/02/2009, -1/+2A reason for people to care about the chytrid pandemic wiping out amphibians all over the world. Maybe.
- thewrathoffluff, on 02/02/2009, -0/+1Very Interesting!
