- netferret, on 10/12/2007, -0/+36russia maybe cold, but the women are hot.
- orbanj, on 10/12/2007, -3/+37I believe you mean Siberia.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+22"And even vodka freezes in Siberia."
- treelovinhippie, on 10/12/2007, -3/+18Now those guys could do with some global warming.

2.) ???
3.) Profit! - Jemulov, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13Dugg because those crazy russians!
- Brodels, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12you'd be ok for a few seconds as a joke and to take the picture I think. I went out in a t-shirt in -50 degrees for a few seconds, it was damn cold but not deadly for a short time...plus Russians are hardcore.
- KineticFlow, on 10/12/2007, -6/+16-60 F = -51 1/9 C = 222 K
SI FTW! - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10Actually, 'spelt' is perfectly correct British English. To me 'spelled' sounds wrong ;)
- stupidverizon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10Haha! These guys couldn't get any more russian. My dad (russian) used to wash himself with snow to build resistance to cold. People get freaked out everytime I tell them an odd russian story like this one, I love it.
- djhworld, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8"Um - if the nice men were out in -60 degree weather without a shirt on, they would die. It's as simple as that."
If exposed for a while, yes, but they probably weren't even out for that long. Also, you may notice that they're pretty hefty blokes, a lot of fat to keep them warm. - goodoldharris, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9dahamsta: FTR, the spelling is "Siberia". Since you wrote "Syberia" twice, we can assume it's not just a typo. And why shouldn't you be blamed for grammar and spelling?
- radu79, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10It also does that in the Democratic America :)
- bewing77, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Not at all. Sure, it's extremely cold, but you don't die in minutes, especially not if you are moving around.
Oh, and to the guy below saying it doesn't snow in cold wether. It's -30 C and snowing right here right now ;) - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10Man i though the title meant a new Syberia game is coming out :(.
- JeremiahLBurns, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7I like that whilst the speedo was reading 60, the tach was 'frozen' at 0. Heh.
- nagoogle, on 10/12/2007, -6/+13Yeah but in Russia 80% of territory is like Alaska, and people do live there thinking it's normal.
- iamexcite, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7At your local software retailer
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syberia - queraxus, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8How many times can you not read that it's spelt Siberia not Syberia?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9This has got to be the best picture of them all:

Russians kick ass. - retral, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7I think it's time for someone to travel this route in an Ariel Atom.
- idiotwithastick, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9"Don't blame me for the grammar and spelling, I'm just making an accurate submission!"
If your submission is so accurate, where exactly is Syberia? - acetv, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5O_o
- JonProphet, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4cool pics, for sure.
those homemade 'double windows' are priceless - estee065, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Anyone else notice that the washed out bridge looks like the one Ewan Macgregor and Charley Boorman had to cross during their trip through Siberia on "The Long Way Round"? If you haven't seen this yet, watch it now. Best travel documentary I've seen in a long time.
- kicken18, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Wow some of those pictures are really good, scenery looks amazing
- retral, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Cool pictures, but it's entirely too short :(
- Wonderkind, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4No they wouldn't. I had a friend from Nome who spent plenty of time outside in a strap tee shirt when it was 0 degrees Fahrenheit. I was shaking with cold and he was fine. He wasn't trying to show off. He just wasn't cold at all.
In time, certainly, but an hour or two didn't bother him. - kevinarth, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7"I love how just cause a few people on here don't like the "Soviet Russia" jokes, they are automatically supposed to be not funny for the rest of us."
They weren't that funny the first time I heard them. Actually quite stupid. Now I'm just sick of wading through them looking for useful comments.
And why don't you people get off the spelling and grammar criticism. I'd be the first person to jump on you for spelling or grammar if I thought you should know better. But, if English, particularly American English, isn't your native language, you can't, very well, be expected to have perfect grammar and spelling. I certainly couldn't do better at speaking or writing Russian. Hell, I'm sure my English isn't perfect, and I live in Midwest US. (On the other hand, there is a 'spell check' button at the bottom of the comment box)
And who gives a F*** that "Syberia" is a video game. It's not relevant to the story.
Grow up! - osc1882, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Truly stunning pictures.
Thank you. - moo113, on 10/12/2007, -4/+7I live in Winnipeg and have had just as bad.
- sonaboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3wild horses??!?
how in the hell can they survive?!?
that's amazing. excellent post - i wish there was more specific information about what we were seeing, but still, great job! - Llance, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Where da automata at?
- Ryanxv1, on 10/12/2007, -5/+81.) In soviet Russia joke
2.) Make profit joke
3.) ???
4.) Get yelled at in caps! - ScottoGato, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3That is some amazing stuff. Just looking at the pictures, you can tell it's fricken freezing. These guys have my respect for being able to survive, let alone live, in that kind of weather.
- Llance, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3This reminds me of my favorite "Cold War" joke for a communist credit card (SNL sketch maybe?)...
Soviet Express: Don't Leave Home. - brundlefly76, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Yeah, I wanted to know WHY and HOW!
And exactly what do you do with a bunch of laptops and half-naked men outside at night in Siberia? - VeganG, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Who else thinks those laptops are overclocked to hell and back?
- kadbarma, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Since I was forcibly exposed to Yakov Smirnoff, I can appreciate these lame, lame jokes. :P They live on in my workplace.
- kkDonut, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2the rpms of the car were 0, and the spedomenter was almost 60....
- raphec, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3god i feel cold just looking at those pics.
My grandfather used to tell me stories about russian winter in siberia, how it was so cold that your spit would freeze before it hit the ground. I was never quite sure whether to believe him, but now, i really do. - dwhitbeck, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I can hear the tires squeeking on the snow.
- VeganG, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3No, I think the frozen vodka is the best picture!
- joeTaco, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Damn right. The last couple weeks have been pretty bad, good thing that *****'s over with now.
- nickj6282, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4It was snowing in that picture. It just doesn't snow when it's that cold out, the air is too dry. I've personally never seen it snow below about -10. But then again, I've never been to Siberia.
- dahamsta, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I know how to spell Siberia. I submitted the story exactly as it was. The blogger has updated it in the meantime. Geddit?
- EddT81, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3I love how just cause a few people on here don't like the "Soviet Russia" jokes, they are automatically supposed to be not funny for the rest of us.
Life is too short to be so cynical and bitter about the world. - maram500, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1God how I love to see how people can screw up even basic spelling. Let me see if I can clear this up a bit: Siberia is a region of Russia; it's really cold there. Syberia was a game; it was a point-and-click adventure and it had a sequel. Cyberia is--and I'm taking a guess at this--a colder part of cyberspace...maybe.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1What? .... What?
I was just noticing his nipples...
What? - loeakaodas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Cyberia is a night club from Lain.
