  • tehhowch, on 07/16/2009, -0/+3Solar water heaters, properly designed, can yield about the same energy annually as the average American uses with their automobile. If you're thinking about going solar, start with solar water heating, then go for the PV panels.
    If you have a pool, the cheapest way to heat your pool is to get a long black hose, lay it out in coils on your driveway, and pump the water through that using your pools filtration system. (The article alludes to this)

    Saving energy is common sense.
