- gucker, on 12/30/2008, -1/+22Glad to see 'Drill, Baby, Drill' was not on this list. Hopefully we've seen the end of that one.
- AFelsinger, on 12/30/2008, -1/+15what a tripp
- peppapig100, on 12/30/2008, -0/+8Quite a year - let's hope 2009 is just as exciting (in a good way for a change)
- Secret7000, on 12/31/2008, -1/+6Solar panels to Sarah Palin? Yes please. To the head. Repeatedly.
- benroy, on 12/31/2008, -2/+6Why won't Sarah Palin just go away? Oh yeah, because people keep talking about her and involving her (name) in news stories. STOP IT!!
- SilentBobSC, on 12/31/2008, -0/+3Could we just PLEASE stop posting about this woman so she can just fade into obscurity?
- DrVic, on 12/31/2008, -0/+3Some of my idiot friends were all about this slogan. Coincidentally they still live with their parents and do not have careers yet and are approaching 30.
- krnldmp, on 12/31/2008, -0/+3If the internet would shut up about Sarah Palin she'd just disappear, which is necessary.
- ObamaYouth, on 12/31/2008, -1/+3Digg loves MILF. Digg average age = 14.
- Fordi, on 12/31/2008, -2/+4You forgot the "...DAMNIT, I just did it there! D'OH!"
- Fordi, on 12/31/2008, -0/+2Let's hope they work out 75% eff panels at under $0.50 / m^2. That's what I'm rooting for: getting rid of all the middlemen in electricity production that we put up with just because solar isn't anything like efficient.
- GaryErnsthausen, on 12/31/2008, -0/+1Sarah stopped at Xunlite in Toledo for a Rally and we had it all in one, - Sarah at the Solar Panel Factory!!!
- Anonchrist, on 01/02/2009, -0/+1Buried for Palin.
- nick111, on 12/31/2008, -1/+2Or the inefficiencies are simply more obvious.
Centralised energy systems aren't 75% efficient - but you don't get to see it becase so much is lost before it even gets to your house. Existing energy systems have fairly massive subsidies as well. - Deausx, on 01/01/2009, -0/+1Dugg for one page.
- Fordi, on 01/01/2009, -0/+1"Centralised energy systems aren't 75% efficient - but you don't get to see it becase so much is lost before it even gets to your house."
Not exactly. Centralized energy systems depend on fuels that are the result of thousands of years of concentrated sunlight and geothermal. It's not that they're more efficient; they're just cheaper per watt than you can presently pull from solar over the lifespan of a cell - and that's a tragedy that must be repaired with new tech in solar. - inactive, on 01/01/2009, -0/+1Wind power. The slow boat to nowhere.
Why would Alaskans want wind when they get a $1200 oil royalty check per year from the government. Good job Sarah Palin! - inactive, on 12/31/2008, -0/+1Ya know, solar panels in Alaska would be a great idea HALF the year when it is light almost all day and night but they are missing the boat on wind power up there.
