- MikeChino, on 10/15/2008, -0/+15Crazy - this looks like an artifact from a lost world.
- thestrongrope, on 10/15/2008, -0/+13How cool would it be to see a whole city with buildings like this?
- danskal, on 10/16/2008, -0/+11I think it's a fantastic idea, but I would like to know how they plan to cope with the extra wear and tear caused by plant roots etc. Maybe it's not an issue for a building with modern materials?
- cyrusuncc, on 10/15/2008, -0/+10It would be nice if this type of building becomes more mainstream
- divinediva, on 10/15/2008, -1/+10The building has designed for future adaptability.
- IvanB, on 10/15/2008, -0/+8Strangling plants? Anyone?
- wopas69, on 10/16/2008, -1/+7thats incredibly progressive i hope it works and doesn't have structural problems because roots are very strong
- b9gh47q, on 10/15/2008, -0/+5pun intended?
- dpierce, on 10/16/2008, -0/+4Don't forget this building in S'pore as well: http://www.inhabitat.com/2008/01/23/amazing-green- ...
- protodon, on 10/16/2008, -0/+3This is what I see when I picture skyscrapers in a post-apocalyptic future. I like too see a building that knows where we're headed.
- opticalnoise, on 10/16/2008, -0/+3Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa ha ha ha ha
You're so lame. Try living here for a while and see if you still feel that way. - inactive, on 10/16/2008, -0/+3 Nebuchadnezzar did something similar a while back.
- obxjdt, on 10/16/2008, -0/+2I was wondering the same thing. Looks like a good idea on paper, but there is a reason no one else is doing it.
- verusg, on 10/16/2008, -0/+2Get aside Dubai.. Here comes Singapore.
- pelman, on 10/16/2008, -0/+2Let the disease begin!!
- rajulkabir, on 10/16/2008, -0/+2Nope, Malaysians do it too.
- stoneage, on 10/16/2008, -0/+2Yeah, reminded me of an abandoned city
- dpierce, on 10/16/2008, -0/+2Nope, American. I studied abroad in s'pore so thats why. I +1'd ur reply to omikron4 above as well as I totally agree.
- lornali, on 10/16/2008, -0/+1It's lovely to read of such initiatives
- omikron4, on 10/16/2008, -2/+3Yet another reason I wish I lived in Singapore. The first being the beautiful women.
- opticalnoise, on 10/16/2008, -0/+1You must be a Sporean, because only sporeans call singapore spore.
- edwinjose, on 10/16/2008, -0/+1Hanging Gardens
- krustytroll, on 10/16/2008, -0/+1looks like an over-stacked salad burger
- wunksta, on 10/16/2008, -0/+1looks awesome
- tjtillman, on 10/16/2008, -0/+0It kind of reminds me of a forest arcology
- drape, on 10/16/2008, -0/+0I hope that spike at the side of the building faces the parliament.
- ColorCountries, on 10/16/2008, -0/+0I've seen smaller scale buildings with green walls in Northern Europe. Mosquitoes and bugs were a problem there. I wonder how they will deal with it in the context of the Singapore climate. All this greenery looks like a bugs factory...
- islandscript, on 10/16/2008, -1/+0it rely.....
