- JackPallance, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Am I the only one to think that it is strange that a "news" organization should determine it's coverage based on petitions? Stories made popular by the masses is what Digg is for. News outlets would be the ones to investigate events, confirm it, and then report it. In Fox's misguided attempt to do such, they are misguided by the right-wing, but pandering to petitions is no improvement.
- duckstrap, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1How about pandering to the truth?
- dbarefoot, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1@Jack (from beyond the grave, apparently): If only news organizations reported what mattered. In truth, of course, they're service providers, and subject to the demands of their consumer base, the viewers. A petition, in theory, works like a lot of viewer mail.
