He's loosened restrictions on mining and logging. He's let recreational vehicles into sensitive areas. He's gutted the EPA to the point that Christine Todd Whitman threw up her hands and quit. And worse, he's had an energy policy that promoted the consumption of fossil fuels and stalled real progress toward energy independence.

This, my friends, is what you call an op-ed disguised as news. Nowhere in the article does it state anything to support the author's *opinion* inserted into the subtitle. There's actually very little protection of our ocean's habitats compared to the land protection we have today. It's a good move, but I agree that he should have done more for our rights and the constitution.

Being in a certain location multiple times for short (like really short) stints doesn't mean you're an expert in the economics history, political atmosphere, culture, nuances, and hierarchy of the location. If Bush gained lots of knowledge every time he visited a location, he wouldn't wonder why Iranians and Iraqis don't like them. Heck, if he even KNEW America, he wouldn't wonder why many Americans don't like them. I've visited Puerto Rico like 5 times, for weeks at a time - I still don't understand that place.
I'll give him credit on he AIDS thing.

Many tribes were nomadic, they were very small in number, and most Amero-Indians were wiped out by plagues brought over by the Europeans unintentionally long before the foundation of the U.S. anyways, not by the barrel of a gun.
