- wbrns, on 11/07/2009, -2/+25Sad.
- Ighuc, on 11/07/2009, -1/+16Evil NASA's obsolete Aqua satellite captured this wonderful image of a massive happy cloud hugging huge portions of People's Republic of China today. This blanket of joy has been floating over the country for decades now, amplified by the cool air of freedom and aura of workers and children.
- jonnieblaze, on 11/07/2009, -1/+10I was in Beijing last week. I couldn't keep the windows rolled down in the car cause the breeze burned my eyes. I constantly had black boogers also.
- angrytortilla, on 11/07/2009, -4/+12Al Gore is *****' pissed.
- Sepharo, on 11/07/2009, -0/+7Sweet sassy molassy son, what the ***** are you trying to say?
- DeadSkinMask, on 11/07/2009, -1/+8Now they can build missile silos and mobilize troops without tipping off snoopy satellites.
Very cleaver China....you win this round.
-_- - TheSuperunknown, on 11/07/2009, -1/+7In the grand scheme of things, we simply exported our problems to China. We set pollution and labor standards for ourselves, but then did nothing to stop our companies from having production handled overseas, where such standards don't exist. The planet still gets polluted, slave labor still exists, we just don't have to see it.
- dandaman0345, on 11/07/2009, -1/+6Well, that is obviously the smoking section.
- noyurawk, on 11/07/2009, -1/+6According to chinese companies, It is silly anthropocentrism to think that humans could actually have that kind of effect on the weather. I'll believe them any day over the world community of scientists with their socialist hidden agendas.
/sarcasm - sierrabravo, on 11/07/2009, -0/+4that's what they get for putting lead and formaldehyde in our toothpaste and childrens' toys and not giving a damn about the environmental effects of their waste on the atmosphere around them
- maximilen, on 11/07/2009, -1/+5I'm pretty sure the unfiltered and unrestricted factory and automotive pollution from turn of the century until decades later here in the U.S. was pretty harsh as well, but thankfully we had the sense to do something about it. Hopefully they do to too.
- Waredgo, on 11/07/2009, -0/+4I was in it this week in Qingdao. I hadn't seen smog this bad since I lived in L.A. in the 80's.
- RATNIK, on 11/07/2009, -1/+4Silly people; this is obviously a way of covering up the country as to prevent satellite spying, genius.
- Chaserloser, on 11/07/2009, -1/+4Actually Bart said. "What happened to you china? you used to be cool"
- BotchaMcCoola, on 11/07/2009, -4/+7Then can we get our dollars back before they choke to death?
- bjornski, on 11/07/2009, -2/+5Well, this is obviously due to too many regulations! Get rid of those, and the market will fix this!
- transapien, on 11/07/2009, -0/+2Obviously developing new 'greener ' technology will be best for our economy so we can sell it abroad and reduce our dependence on importing fossil fuels.
- QQQQUUUU, on 11/07/2009, -1/+3not only do communist violate the rights of there citizens they violate the air
- transapien, on 11/08/2009, -0/+2@BookaShade You're a perfect example of what really pollutes America. We could do without your carbon footprint.
- sivsta, on 11/07/2009, -0/+2Just be glad you don't live in Washington state. It can be measured in the air there.
- bjornski, on 11/07/2009, -2/+4"English, *****. Do you speak it?" -Jules
- PandaBearShenyu, on 11/07/2009, -0/+2I'm only blaming the West because the West seems so insistent on blaming everything on China. I wouldn't be pushing back if people treated this issue rationally. When it forgets that the U.S. has pretty much matched the pollution caused by having to manufacture everything in the world by being retardedly wasteful with how they live. We need 11 more Earths if everyone in the world lives like Americans and Canadians (who waste even more than Americans).
So, keep taking your 30 minute showers, driving your SUVs, and calling people racist names, because all it shows is your own insecurity. - bjornski, on 11/07/2009, -4/+6I hear exactly the same arguments from the right-wingers in America.
- PandaBearShenyu, on 11/07/2009, -3/+5China MATCHED U.S. pollution 2 years ago... dumbass.
Also, research, learn it. Actually, I wouldn't expect a person like you to face up to the facts that China is on track to become the world's leading country in green technologies. Whatever
I don't live in the U.S., not when it's filled with people like you. :) - sivsta, on 11/07/2009, -0/+1Do those face masks even help...
- bjornski, on 11/08/2009, -0/+1Hmm. You're right.
We need to get rid of this "minimum wage" regulation, and allow companies to pollute like that in our own backyards!
What a solution! Oh, Market! What can't you do! - hamiltonian, on 11/07/2009, -1/+2Sadly, a lot of this pollution will be transported to North America through the means of westerlies and warm conveyor belts.
- transapien, on 11/07/2009, -2/+3I dugg you up Shenyu, the sad thing about it is a lot of Americans choose to be ignorant. They COULD research more, they DO have the resources but most feel too secure and are too arrogant to see what is really important. I love America for what it could be, but it isn't... If I don't start to see responsibility from our government I might just have a reason to leave
- barcardi, on 11/07/2009, -2/+2hope that dosnt drift over here
- freakFlag, on 11/07/2009, -1/+1Nice
- homer524, on 11/07/2009, -2/+2But why didn't Bilbo just kill the Smaug =[
- BookaShade, on 11/07/2009, -5/+4News flash to dumbass:
China doubled US pollution and that was TWO YEARS AGO.
China's pollution is predicted to triple US pollution in 2016.
Say what ever you want about the 'west' (even though you probably live in the states or europe you stupid hypocrite) China's pollution is a serious problem. At least the US is working on it but china refuses to make any progress. - Milkshakesula, on 11/07/2009, -1/+0中天!!!!以索取人基石按决定可
- dusanmal, on 11/07/2009, -6/+4Despite attempt at cynicism, you are right!
Too many regulations here. None there. Blind market forces channel production to the place where it is cheaper.
Remove regulations here, jobs and production and pollution will be back here as it is cheaper not to ship things around. In net, that would save the pollution from transporting all those things across the globe... - Chaserloser, on 11/07/2009, -3/+1Not true, it was Ninja in that map trying to deflect NASA with smoke.
- Chaserloser, on 11/07/2009, -3/+1Bilbo knew Gandalf would strap him on huge rocket if he do that.
- tek69, on 11/07/2009, -3/+1@transapien Yo if you have a house, can I have it when you leave?
- freakFlag, on 11/07/2009, -3/+1manbearpig
- idsfa, on 11/07/2009, -3/+0Ni shuo de hen dui
- BookaShade, on 11/07/2009, -4/+1The classic chink is so blinded by his stupidity. When anything bad happens in china they will always blame the west. How long is that crutch going to last? Pathetic.
The fact that in China over 750,000 people die in premature deaths every year from your overwhelming smog is pathetic.
China leading in clean energy? Yea I can tell. Especially when last year I was in South Korea and they had smog reports coming from chinas pollution. they are making real head way.
Man china sucks *****. - PandaBearShenyu, on 11/07/2009, -8/+5If the U.S. had 1.3 billion people, that smog would be 4 times worse.
You can say what you want about China and pollution, but U.S. pollutes about the same as China, only China has 4 times the amount of people. The real polluters are you westerners. - qazws, on 11/07/2009, -6/+2Bart Simpson "You use to be cool China"
- mike42979, on 11/07/2009, -5/+1This is what they create when they was to move nuclear weapons around ok maybe not but could be a good idea!
- danconia, on 11/07/2009, -7/+2To be fair they said that smoke has "exacerbated" the smog... so it's not like it's all smog.
- LibertariansLOL, on 11/07/2009, -7/+2smog is good for the economy
dont let al gore tell you otherwise - bmiami69, on 11/07/2009, -8/+2breath in and smoke it
