- exonyte, on 04/13/2009, -0/+6#8 reminds me of messing with the terrain in Rollercoaster Tycoon
- JYoungest1, on 04/14/2009, -0/+3The bricks are awesome. You could just put a little dirt and seed in them, and even if they die off, something will end up finding its way into it probably because of birds. Likewise it would be great for birds.
- StigNordas, on 04/13/2009, -2/+5I thought it was pretty cool, WTF are you talking about?
- chimx, on 04/14/2009, -0/+2I do commercial roof construction and have made plenty of green roofs. There is a lot of misinformation about green roofing. For the most part, existing roofing systems work perfectly well for green roofs. The problem lays more with building architecture as you need to the roof to support significantly more weight.
I doubt if anything in these pictures will catch on. There is no financial incentive to make a building so "green-roof centric" when current designs work perfectly well. Provided you have a flat roof and adequate architectural support, what we have now works fine: torch down, hot tar, epdm (wouldn't recommend for green roofing), hydrotech (probably the best), etc. - hazard99, on 04/13/2009, -1/+3Well its pretty obvious that if fudged71 dislikes something, its void of any value to others because he's the princess of the universe.
- robohoe, on 04/13/2009, -1/+3I like how the Radio Shack ad popped up in between the pictures in the slideshow.
- iiiears, on 04/14/2009, -0/+1 If you can afford the initial costs of construction and additional water use it will lower local temperatures through evaporative cooling. If you prefer vegetation over concrete
that is another plus. - Cherylsgifts2go, on 05/08/2009, -0/+0What a great concept and, excellent pictures to get you thinking. I don't think it would work in Florida due to the hurricanes however, Caraba's Italian restuarant has plants on it's roof.
- inactive, on 04/18/2009, -0/+0i really hope they would consider about the price..it's seems expensive...
