Open, Free Markets: The Right Way to Stop Deforestation
nature.org — Funding market-based tools that pay developing countries to stop cutting their forests will create solutions for carbon emissions -- while sending market signals that say we value keeping trees and planting more than slashing and burning. What better incentive could there be than open, free markets?

Most people don't know that "ecotourism" is a problematic term that's used in a similar way as "organic" -- as a greenwashing device. As Wikipedia notes: "Currently there are various moves to create national and international ecotourism accreditation programs..."
