- CK20XX, on 07/09/2009, -0/+14This is totally awesome. I want to see an army of those clean up the great pacific garbage patch. It would be like thousands of Pikmin swarming a giant predator.
- VictoriaCross, on 07/09/2009, -3/+10Water-E?
- ChrisRamon, on 07/09/2009, -4/+11Wall-E?
- sheagunther42, on 07/09/2009, -1/+7I welcome the coming rule of our green robot overlords.
- TMWO, on 07/09/2009, -0/+5All it needs now is to eat the garbage for fuel!
- Sandhog, on 07/10/2009, -0/+4That's not a nice thing to say about Hawaii. You take that back.
- Emera, on 07/09/2009, -0/+4More Robots = Better World
- ispyamoose, on 07/09/2009, -0/+3Yeah, maybe it will successfully clean up the trashy Megan Fox.
*BURN* - villainousT, on 07/09/2009, -0/+3I wish it gave more information on what sort of power source these robots would use and also the area & scope of what could be cleaned per unit.
- WiseWeasel, on 07/10/2009, -0/+3I think I've got one of these in my pool...
- Amazetbm, on 07/10/2009, -0/+3Cool set them loose in that trash heap that's floating in the Pacific.
- JSager, on 07/09/2009, -0/+2I don't care if these things run on plutonium they're still more likable than the kid from A.I.
- TexMexRex, on 07/09/2009, -0/+2Maybe paint it florescent orange, rather than black. Or you'll litter the water with boats, boaters, etc. A nice blinky light would help too.
- Hartley1942, on 07/09/2009, -0/+2Where can I get these absorbent socks?
...For my fishtank of course. - 3tcp, on 07/09/2009, -0/+2So it's like a mouse droid but for the water.
- N01SE, on 07/09/2009, -1/+3So, how is garbage taken in and directed to a disintegrator but aquatic life is not? I don't think this has been tested yet, it's just a design concept. They'll put that thing in the water and it will become an aquatic killing machine.
- RiotHeart, on 07/09/2009, -0/+2Rogue Robots. Warning, Rogue Robots
- collution, on 07/09/2009, -0/+2If they don't shoot artillery or blow up, Mr. Bay isn't having it.
- Vodd9, on 07/10/2009, -2/+4wat
- inactive, on 07/09/2009, -0/+2What a coincidence, I was simultaneously watching Blue Gold. Good documentary.
- danreeves, on 07/10/2009, -1/+3We should spend more money on science and technology to help save our world and less money on trying to reach other worlds. The sooner we all realize the fact that our very life on this planet is a miracle in the universe the sooner we'll be better off and actually start giving a damn.
Hasn't anyone else read The Giving Tree? Our existence on Earth is The Giving Tree on a global scale, and we haven't reached the moral of the story yet... - DonJohnTom, on 07/09/2009, -0/+2imagine a world so advanced that we had a flying version of this robot. We would send them high in the sky and collect harmful greenhouse gases, outrageous i know but im just imagining.
- demodawid, on 07/09/2009, -0/+2Wall-e?
- funkywood, on 07/10/2009, -0/+2We need a shed load of these to clean up the oceans.
- forceuser, on 07/10/2009, -0/+2Wat.
- shortypeople, on 07/09/2009, -0/+2they look like little toy tugboats! awwwwwww
- grahag, on 07/10/2009, -0/+2My life for Aiur!
- battmann, on 07/10/2009, -0/+2about time i came up with this idea 10 years ago...now all we need are remote control solar powered robots to control for work and we're in there....get on it ..!
- grahag, on 07/10/2009, -0/+2I joke, but honestly, this is a fantastic idea. They just have to find a way to make them cheap and plentiful and easy to power and then set them loose. I'd start with some of the more polluted waterways like the Citarum or Ganghes and prove your product in the hardest places to clean.
I wonder what the profit margin would be on reclaimed petroleum products? - Sandhog, on 07/10/2009, -0/+1More Cylons == Deader World
- Milieunet, on 07/13/2009, -0/+1Should be nice toi see this robot at work to clean up The Great Garbage Patch:
http://tinyurl.com/op769p - inactive, on 07/09/2009, -0/+1What if it sucks up the fish and sends them through the disintegrator as well? WHAT THEN? ***** fish.
- shininia, on 07/10/2009, -0/+1Incineration!
You are the insult master! - Baskinghobo, on 07/10/2009, -1/+2Yes.
- Stalks, on 07/10/2009, -0/+1Mr Fusion!
- inactive, on 07/10/2009, -0/+1"Absorbent socks on the top of the WatCleaner absorb oil and cleanse it"
Socks?
Wait what? - haikuFU, on 07/10/2009, -0/+1It runs off plutonium and dumps the spent fuel in the ocean.
- TobiasParker, on 07/09/2009, -1/+1I, for one, welcome our water cleansing robotic overlords.
- collution, on 07/09/2009, -2/+1No.
- ecoscott, on 07/09/2009, -4/+2I'm looking for them to show up in Transformers 3 maybe?
