- inactive, on 11/02/2009, -11/+24Quick, someone get Al Gore!
- shujin, on 11/03/2009, -5/+16There are many producers of "greenhouse gases". Believers of global warming simply state that human intervention has thrown Earth's balance off, artificially inducing climate change. I'm personally not informed enough to argue for or against that theory, but to attack Al Gore or other global warming enthusiasts simply because lightning or volcanoes produce greenhouse gases is to misunderstand or ignore the tenets of what constitutes a "balance" on Earth.
- therightside, on 11/02/2009, -14/+25we must stop lightning to stop climate change
- GTRagnarok, on 11/03/2009, -2/+10Heheh, I like how this is just under a picture of lightning.
- Twenty, on 11/03/2009, -0/+5"..but to attack Al Gore or other global warming enthusiasts simply because lightning or volcanoes produce greenhouse gases is to [be a dick]."
I won't sugarcoat it, I'm sick of these stupid ***** jokes. - Kral, on 11/03/2009, -0/+4The article is fine. It's the idiocy here that's the problem.
- darkwater37, on 11/02/2009, -10/+14lighting makes ozone and NO and NO2, mother nature makes greenhouse gases? Who would have thought
- amish4play, on 11/03/2009, -0/+4Is that so?
So you're telling me that the above comments are not portraying environmentalists as ill informed, extremely sensationalist, tax everything, slaves to Al Gore, etc, only to cut them down through low level wit? - Ninh, on 11/02/2009, -11/+14Al Gore demands: raise electricity prices to reduce lightning induced climate change.
- Zomgondo, on 11/03/2009, -1/+4I see the freepers are out in force today. Buried.
- Zomgondo, on 11/03/2009, -0/+3You know what the #1 greenhouse gas is? Water vapor!!! I guess we should tax the ocean, huh? LOL@THE IDIOT AL GORE
/s - dk75eclipse, on 11/03/2009, -3/+5Well, if we turn to electric powered lightning, pollution could be greatly reduced.
Oh wait... - marm0lade, on 11/03/2009, -5/+7I think you think you know what a straw man argument is, but really, you don't.
- badqat, on 11/02/2009, -4/+6Indeed! How dare lightning make these levels of ozone!
- reubencm, on 11/03/2009, -0/+2Before i opened this comment i said aloud to my flatmates that the first comment would say we must ban lightning or something to that effect. you never fail me digg.
- beakerbite, on 11/03/2009, -1/+3Shweeeereeee Swish Shrooom
(I'm not very good at flying sounds) - Zomgondo, on 11/03/2009, -0/+2Agreed.
- trosty45, on 11/02/2009, -10/+10I can't wait for the Greenpeace, "Stop Climate Change, Ban Thunderstorms" petition on campus!

- harry8227, on 11/03/2009, -1/+1Oh I can see it now, sue God for polution
- prakash1234, on 11/03/2009, -2/+1a) we can stop lightning
or
b) we can protect our earth by buying carbon tax credits from algore or rothschilds carbon credit companies - Propethic, on 11/03/2009, -2/+1I hope you get hit by thunder
- westtexas357, on 11/03/2009, -7/+6Lightning must be taxed!!! Fine mutha nature!
- kamaltalwar12, on 11/03/2009, -1/+0I agree with shujin this is an outrageous theory that lightening causes global warming, may be the changes in the lightening effect were created by global warming created by human intervention. Lightening was there since the formation of the planet, then why in the world it has gotten worse since the industrial age. They say the only force strong enough to effect the global climate is the sun and ironical that too is going through a phase of solar minimum a quiet phase, we have to agree we are killing our planet and us with it, if we don't something quick the world will literally go to hell. Annex I countries have to do something in a major way to dealt with this problem.
- codyonweb, on 11/03/2009, -2/+0I think that need to stop the climate change, Now!
- sierrabravo, on 11/03/2009, -3/+1ooh let's waste our resources on stopping lighting. next the tree huggers will say we need lightning after it's gone.
- amish4play, on 11/03/2009, -13/+9Mention climate and all the tards show up with their straw man arguments... Even sadder is that they think they're clever
